How can you hate Apple products? They're actually worth the prices. Also, they're the only major tablet/phone manufacturer that isn't trying to take over the world (lol Google). The company I can understand, since it's now corrupt, much like everything else in the world, but why their products?

I don't like that white design that dominates all their products (apart from some recolors) and their "you have to put everything throuzgh iTunes" makes me mad.
I do not question the quality of the products but I do believe a considerable % of the price is there just because of a slightly used apple image.
It's not as good as the price tells...
And yes, I did try iPod many years ago when I was looking for an mp3 player and realized it's far from being the best quality. (Not to mention even the seller supported that discovery.)
Also when I bought a smart phone I went for Samsung, my bro bought an iPhone. Nearly a year has passed, I am totally satisfied whereas he is telling me if he buys a new smartphone, it will most likely won't be another iPhone.
It's not bad, just doesn't worth the money.
Also, Apple is everything but "user friendly" if you are a free-spirited user, if you know what I mean.
Applestore is cool though I gotta hand it to them.

Vista was what made me get a Mac. I haven't looked back since I got my first one. This way, I can use all the three major OS's if I want to.
I don't care about the price, that's not important to me. The fact that it's another OS with enough applications to be usable, but isn't a slow and bloated version of Windows makes it worth it for me.
If Linux for desktop matured a bit application-wise I would probably use that, but it hurts whenever I see a Windows user saying "This and this is wrong with computers", and I know, and I want to tell them, that they wouldn't have those issues if they had a Mac.

I'm with Microsoft for my grounded operations (I'm typing this from a PC. I have an xbox.) but for on-the-go I would give the edge to Apple.
@EwyndallIt's mainly Google, with their new-ish Android, but Microsoft is in it too (Although Windows 7 set them back about 3 years). Google can access probably your entire internet history, and they now target ads based on your personality, based on what you look at on the internet. They know who you are without ever meeting you.

The Steve Jobs of Equestria must have likely been the offspring of one of Rainbow Dash's relatives and one of the Apple family. I inherited all the stubbornness, and all the boldness from both sides of the family. I hate it because they continually release new crap that's the same as the crap we already have minus key features, but at a higher price. (Especially the freaking iPad.)

And I hate them because they charge you a bigger price hike-up than freaking Alienware for their brand.

I use a Mac. It's my preferred OS.
I loved my older gen iPod Nano, till I sent it through a spin cycle (I had it almost fixed, till the cat knocked one of my speakers over, which crushed it on the charging dock).
I like my old iPod Mini (which still works)
Still, I will NEVER buy an iPhone, iPod Touch, or an iPad in their current state.
Why? Simple! Why would I like a product that could run something I want it to run, but simply REFUSES to ALLOW it, without hacking it, just on the stubborn and stuck up principal of some carrot eating nut Jobs™. I hope as time goes by, and he has less to do with the company, it'll stop being so full of itself and let their products do useful things, like run the apps users want it to run.

I miss the Rainbow Apple logo... That was when they still believed they could buck the system... Now they're just a gadget company that sells an image... a conforming, universal image. That's why I still like the iPod Nano. It's the last sea of color in Apple's mindless black and white and chrome look.

I do admit though that apple has been making some mistakes lately, which is why I'm waiting a few months before upgrading to Lion. Plus, I fear that with their increased popularity will come a dumbing down of products.
I'd also like to point out that when windows first came out, their entire software design (being able to click on icons from a desktop) was taken from apple.

I don't dislike Apple for their prices (although they may make me balk sometimes).
I don't dislike Apple for the quality of their products (as over-hyped as they may be, they're usually of passable quality).
I don't dislike Apple for their user interface quirks (although they may annoy me a little).
I dislike Apple because their "walled garden" mentality is a serious threat to interoperability and freedom.
Microsoft share part of this mentality, though to a lesser extent. Google are generally fairly open, though not in every case, and their pervasiveness is becoming worrisome.
You know, Twilight Sparkle would probably use Linux. She's the smart one who likes to learn, remember? She'd be all up in that source code... ;-)

I don't like anything made by Apple anymore. Its overpriced for what you get and you can't modify anything on them.
I liked my iPod touch when I got it, but iTunes is nothing but a pain in the ass and the workmanship is so bad on it that within two years the headphone jack and the dock are both totally useless for playing music on even looking after it properly.
Its ONE redeeming feature is that the internet browsing is pretty good and I can load PDFs onto it, but after the most recent patch safari keeps crashing.
I find the fruit delicious though.

I don't like some Apple products either, honestly. But they aren't bad, some are even pretty good. Though a bit over-priced in my humble opinion. They're "cool" by the hipsters and such, so they jack the prices up.

I think the Sandisk Sansa line has apple beaten as far as mp3 players go. All the mp3 player without the bunk. Also drag and drop file transfer capabilities!
Somehow I'd feel as special as Silver Spoon if somebody made something awesome for Linux, I don't care what, just something. It can be a KDE Widget for all I care(in before "KDE is awful! Just like Apple. Gnome forever!).
I don't hate all Apple products, I'd never buy an Apple computer. And I'd never use Mac OS until I had a multi-boot or had it in VirtualBox, and it was just to use Final Cut Pro. The only piece of software Mac is really good for.

I dream of one day having an insane waste of money dream computer.
And that means a triple boot with Windows 7(or something greater, whenever Windows 8 come out), Linux Mint, and Mac OS X. All in 4320p or greater. Having my main boot Linux Mint, and running both Windows 7 or 8 in Mac OS X in 1080p windowed. Windows playing and recording games in 1080p(you know, like PCSX2 Let's Plays in 1080p, that would be lots of fun). And have OS X in the other Windowed virtual box running Final Cut Pro and editing videos. With all that raw power I could do whatever I wanted, and not ever need to boot out of Linux just for games, video recording, video editing, and ect. And I could get the best of all three worlds at the same time.
Moore's Law, make it affordable. I'm counting on you. Because right now that computer would probably cost more than 5,000 dollars. A 2600K would likely not even come close to handling a portion of that. And I'd need something like Quad HD 6950s. There's no way I'm spending that much on a luxury like that. But maybe in a few years...
I'm a power user, so Apple is out of the question. I prefer not having to jailbreak or otherwise extensively mod my rig in order to get it to do anything I want it to do, that goes for both desktop and mobile applications...

I seriosuly don't recommend 6950s.
ATi's 6000 series has been terrible.
I personally use a nVidia 580 3GB (costing at just under $500) and am getting better benchmarks that the comprables for dual 6950s.
Therefore a single 590 would far outclass those 6950s, and cost just over $700.
That there is basic math.
apple products aren't all bad. I hate macs with a passion, but my iPod does its job perfectly.
I love Apple computers, and my iPhone (though when I look at the iPad I go "Yes, and?", since a I think tablet needs to have a fully-fledged windowing OS). What I strongly dislike is the Apple Corporation. When Apple's engineers or programmers come up with a Neat Thing, the management will inevitably do one or more of the following: 1: mis-market it. 2: pointlessly hobble it. 3: put it in a walled garden. 4: break the promise they made to get it. 5: overcharge for it. 6: kill it before its time.

Honestly I love Apple and Microsoft both, but I'm a mac considering I'm posting this on a Mac, my laptop is now a Macbook Air, and a iPhone (all on my desk atm). Plus a windows based laptop that IS a pile of jun only because its about ten years old (XP is a solid work horse though).
Big Macintosh would not like this conversation.

The way I see it, Apple products just work. Microsoft products do anything you want. When they work. Choosing between them is choosing between stability and functionality. That's why I use Linux.
