Sketch of Rarity for 2008 MLP:FiM pitch bible. The original concept for her boutique was that it was a cross between a shop and a merry-go-round called Carousel Couture. Originally, Rarity specialized in carousel designs, but that little detail didn't make it. Plus, bridles seemed to weird everyone out, which is understandable.

Faust is awesome at making amazing cartoons but usually I hate the art. MLP is different it really works here and the sketches are beautiful.
Glad there's at least two other people here who know how to spell Fluttershy correctly.

I thought the bridles were kinda neat, and I've seen them plenty on Rarity's outfits in various episodes in the background. Its a very horsey thing, you know?

I imagine the problem with bridles is that when you apply them to sapient beings, they start to seem a bit too BDSM for children's television.
