the first comic is one of the greatest pieces of pony fan comic-ness i've ever seen. it deserves some form of award.
I'm not sure who's being pranked in number 2, Sweetie and Scoots or Rarity and Dash... It's hilarious either way though ^.^

Recommendation? If you are at all of a squeamish disposition then don't look at the rest of the comics from the first source.
The second one should've been Applebloom showing her mark off to Applejack. I just can't easily imagine such a reaction from Rainbow Dash.
That first one was just so sad then it was so dawww.
The second one was....oh gosh it'll take weeks for rarity and rainbow dash to recover from this prank.

I just can't get over how awesome that first comic is. The scenario is really believable for the characters, as if it came write off one of the writers' desks.
I really think the simplistic style adds to the mood, too.

D'awww doesn't cut it for the first one, it's just too sad to be d'awww, but at the same time it has a hopeful message at the end. So many manly tears being shed currently.

I was trying to figure out why the cutie mark would be a pony skewered by a spear, when I finally put 2 and 2 together and realized they were "adult entertainment" related. Lol.

I've seen his *cringe* "art" before and was unaware it was by the same person until the source was added. Now it feels tainted.

Agree, when I clicked the link to his deviantart account... well, all I can say is he has "disturbing" stuff there, disappointing.

OMG, the first one made me cry a little today... at lunch... in McDonalds. Strange looks were received this day.
Seriously folks, just because an artist has a weird sense of humor doesn't mean all their art has to revolve around it. I have much more respect for an artist that can expand past a single subject (socks, sweaters, meme of the hour) and actually branch into art that appeals to different groups.
I watch Gavalanche because his artwork is well done and there is the occasional artwork I do like. But for the most part I don't like his subject matter. I am not going to go all hate-filled on someone because of what they draw, nor do I think it somehow "taints" the artwork from them that I do enjoy. I'm going to enjoy the art I love and ignore the art that bothers me.
That is all, sorry for the long-winded post.
I approve of Gavalanche's sense of humor in his other works...mainly because I don't take shit too seriously.
