When I saw the above comic, my jaw hung open on my mouth in shock. Then, I began giggling madly. And
then I immediately had to kick myself for laughing. Just to give you an idea of what sort of treat you're in for (and make no mistake, I love me some reactionary whiplash). Also, a fun bit of trivia: both of today's comics were forwarded to me be Seth, with the subject line "Uh... I don't get it". So if you read these and understand them, then you're Smarter than a Blogpony. That sounds like a great idea for a game show. Who could we get to host it?

I think the only reason why I got the first (Rarity), was because of the perspective the artist gave us, and the mannequin's place on the bed. It didn't show more than the hair and horn, which is normally off-setting.
The third one is indeed a sad image to behold...

1st: Rarity was showing love to a mannequin, leaving Sweetiebell feeling all sad and abandoned. So fine, I get that.

OK, after a second viewing, I finally noticed the cloud of bees in the last panel of #2. So I guess Pinkie is being chased by bees. The timing really doesn't make much sense, though. How did she have time to pause at the starting line without getting caught?

Second one: During runnings of ___, they usually abuse and mistreat the animals to drive them into a rage, then they'll line-up in front of the pens holding said rage, and then the whole point is to put yourself in the line of danger and survive.
In this case, Pinkie ticked-off a bunch of bees, thinking they were going to anyway.
The first one shocked me so much I had to go away for a few minutes before I could bring myself to do anything else.
The second one was funny.

So what I get from the rarity comic is: Rarity read to and kissed the mannequin. Sweetie bell has to share a bed with the mannequin. Sb cracks after Rarity tell the mannequin another sewing story and completely ignores her.
I get the first one. The little sister Rarity really wants, yeah. Poor Sweetie Belle, awww. Even has a little Rarity plush because she loves her big sister so much. :'(

I have a strange feeling that there is much more to the first one then we are seeing. I keep thinking that Sweetie made the mannequin so she wouldn't bother Rarity, Rarity becomes exhausted from work and confused Sweetie for the mannequin, and we get this incident. I really hope that is what happened. We do awful things to these ponies.

sweetie belle thinks she isnt loved by rarity so she acts like the rarity she wants, to the mannequin, and then thinks of the mannequin as herself so she feels loved. its sad but thats what i can pull from it.
