Its too late for that. I live in the valley of the desert, and sound carries some distance out here. Normally it's pretty quiet, only the sounds of the coyotes hunting and the snakes slithering through the sand interupt the peace. But something is out of place tonight.
The coyotes and snakes are silent, in their place one sound remains. The sound of fingers biting keys, slashing across a keyboard in mad arches. Something I ain't ever heard before out here, but my grandpappy told me of once. It's the sound of fanfiction being written.
He showed me, a long time ago, how to tell by the sound too. And this one's an easy one to figure out. No subtlety or hiding here. Sounds like two men making it.
