While not as large scale, my friend had to do this because he was caught trying to sing it to his other friend, it followed awkward silence and then the teacher congratulated him on his singing skills.

Ha ha, I'm going into 9th grade in a few weeks, the problem is everyone here is an asshole even if they fake nice. Although I would still sing this song to them.. if I had a partner. I was in chorus 7th and 8th grade and I hated it. I was in 8th grade chorus against my will, due to many different things, but I could do it if I was singing with someone! Or, I would plan it and faint right before singing.

If someone did this at our school they would be socially crucified (which is really sad that they can't be accepted for who they are). I got embarrassed telling my closest friend. This is one of the bravest things I'v seen next to the guy doing a high school presentation on the Sonic Rainboom :)
