you could just be like me and not read shipping. XD there is shipping for pretty much any show. This show will be no exception. If you do not like it, do not read it.
Shipping does not equal 'omfgsexandhotkissing', as much as it seems to be the norm these days.
Shipping is a tag you use on stories where two individuals creates a bond. It could be a deep friendship. A hate-love friendship, love or obsession.
I'm sure that all the supper 'furry'-shippings are on Darksideofequestira, if you want them there. Of all the shipping stories I've read, theres only been very few that I would consider close to clopfiction :I

Sees instant one-star in response to instant five-star. Takes the time to READ the damn story, and settles on a four-star for a very good, but not quite spectacular, beginning of a story.
Good read. One question: is Octavia already playing a cello? It said a stringed instrument, but either I missed something (likely to my own embarrassment), or it wasn't elaborated on.

This was a nice chapter (and I'm quite glad to see that this is still going). I particularly liked when Octavia came to the sudden realization that treating Scratch like Octavia was treated growing up basically scared the shit out of Scratch.
That being said, some of the story seemed a bit rushed. It honestly felt like there was a scene missing after Scratch's disastrous practice session in class and when Octavia tried to confront her about it, because it seems Octavia went from bitchy to sympathetic too quickly.
Also, I'm not sure I entirely get why Scratch was playing so poorly in the first place. Does she have some sort of dependency disorder or something? That would explain why she completely went to pieces when she tried to reach out to Octavia and was rebuffed (and would better explain the scene Octavia tried to force Vinyl to practice like her father would and Vinyl basically had a nervous breakdown), but I don't want to assume that is the case if it is something simpler than that.
And Jazz seems like a colossal asshole, though I'd be lying if I said I hadn't had teachers in my life who were exactly like that.

And, yes, there was a part missing. Octavia's walk in the garden after storming out on Vinyl's "practicing" will feature in part three. I want to experiment with a time lapses a bit. The small one in Part 2 didn't seem to turn out the disaster I was dreading so hopefully Part 3's will work out just as well.

Really glad that this is back going. Always liked it, and this chapter doesn't disappoint.
Also noticed that Sonata is pretty Dumbledore-ish, it seems. And Jazz is being built up to be more of an interesting character than I originally thought. He still seems like an asshole, but now he seems that way because of his own shortcomings rather than just because he's mean.
Allegretto is so interesting! I mean, he's a dick and everything but it seems like he really does care for Octavia. He just doesn't know any other way how to show it. I like that he's not just a bad guy with no real reason for it.
The same with Jazz. I want to know why he's so grumpy all the time.
Vinyl is adorable! I just want to hold her and squeeze her forever! I can't wait until she grows up and shows them all. I hope there's a grown up chapter at some point. Like an epilogue years after they finish school and stuff.
