ReplyDeleteI LITERALLY have maybe a few minutes a day for myself. That mean I can write MAYBE a sentence or two a day.
I'm sorry but I'm just really busy.
Now that the war is over, the Marine Corps is stepping down, which mean if i'm not performing and kicking ass 24/7 I have a chance of losing my spot. So any small bits of free time i HAD are now being spent on PT and proving my moto.
I also have a full set of college courses.
I'm double majoring so I have twice the work. I HAVE to maintain my grades or I get shit on by my OSO, then dis-enrolled.
I also have to keep bills paid, so I need to work a part time job.
I'm sorry guys but we've been over this.
I have commitments that take priority.
I will get the story out as soon as I can, but it's not going to be any time soon.
There are tons of other great stories on this site that go unnoticed. Go read a new one, try something new. And rest assured that the next part will get here... eventually.

Just don't abandon the story all together! I don't mind waiting, as long as it, you know, finishes. I hate when authors abandon partway through. I still occasionally find myself poking to see if "Full House" ever puts up a chapter 7 >.<

Read the teaser you put up on ponychan and i must say the new chapter(s) is looking great, even unedited it was fantastic. The imagery is good, the dialog is well done and pretty hilarious at points, everything about this story is great and i really can't find fault with it. The first chapter was a slight bit iffy, but that is understandable. I still can't believe how long the chapters are, despite the legnthy gaps between updates, when they finally come its always a huge update.

ReplyDeletePlease refer to Muppetz's and my previous comments. He's currently dealing with a lot of shit. This fic is SUPER-LOW Priority compared to a Double-Major College, maintaining his position in the real US Military, and overall Real Life.
ReplyDeleteHe has maybe 2 sentences of fic time a day, so it's recommended you go read something else in the meantime.
Muppetc that's honestly amazing that you can have so much self-discipline to keep up a work schedule with that many different responsibilities. I have to agree with everyone else here, as with everything on the internet, real life trumps Internet life; well unless that's your job :). I hope that all your hard work pays off and you can finally get some free time, not to work on this story, but to enjoy all that you have done. I patiently await the next chapter and will hold out until it gets here. *salute*

ReplyDeleteThis... This is the work of a great mind. I actualy just read the whole thing in about 4 hours (I'm quite used to waiting for updates, thank you, I finish EVERYTHING aggravatingly fast. I'd there a cutie mark for speed reading? I digress-) and am incredibly impressed. A story colored through the eyes of a professional and a realist, with a beautiful grasp of not only the show, but how people think and act in strange situations. I don't care how long it takes, take your sweet time and make it good (maybe keep dropping comments do we know your still breathing and all), we don't need to hear your excuses. Your a member of the US military, and none of us can possibly give you enough respect.

ReplyDeleteI know I use this excuse a lot, but the military is in a bad way right now, and every branch is feeling the heat.
As much as I love working on this story I have to put the real world first. Believe me I'd like nothing more than to sit at home and weave a fantastical tale for you guys but I just can't afford to right now.
Dont worry though I will never abandon this story. I have way too much fun with it. Plus school started back up. Which ironically enough might give me some time to work on the story a bit more, during my breaks between classes.
But I'll keep you guys updated as best I can.

ReplyDeleteI just about given up on setting 'standards' for what I read (besides romace and clop fics because romance generally bores me, and clop fics are just misguided affection that I do not encourage). trying out new genres has repeatedly surprised me, my original standards limiting mostly anything that was interesting, and now I can more enjoy the art form that is MLP fan fictions.

ReplyDeleteHe has about 5 minutes a day to write this so we all need to shut the hell up and read something else while we wait.
Plus he's probably going to have to go on Active duty next month.

"I don't normally read HiE stories, but", "I usually don't look at ponified human stories, but", "I don't really like PoE stories. but", "I'm not normally one to read ship stories, but"... Whatever the kind of story it is, one of the first commentators will always announce how they don't really like that type of story and this is the exception. Anyone else notice this recently?
