The Ponemon mod is making leaps and bounds in terms of progress, with full on custom sprites and dialogue changes.

I like how if the main character picks Charmander, it'll be a dragon battling other animals with a dragon.

Spike uses Flamethrower :/ it's super effective.
So many games being modded with ponies...
But do any of them actually get finished?
If you go on the blog, there is a download link to the ROM. You just need a GBA emulator to play it.
Also, if you pick your character's gender to be female, you can play as Twilight.
Oh geez. If only you played as Trixie(that's a suggestion by the way), or at least be able to finish the story alternately by being defeated by the G&PT. I mean come on.
Not a big Pokemon fan these days, but "Ponemon" looks like it's coming along well. Plus, ponies. Yayy~ Not to mention Trixie! "Spike, you will never have the amazing show-stopping ability of the Great and Powerful Trixie!"
So my guess is the female character is Twilight Sparkle?
Either way, looks interesting. Too Pokemon'd out after having to restart my Pokemon Black about 5-6 times partway through, but maybe I'll try it out depending on how much is changed.

i think it would of been more entertaining if the ponys were the Pokemon seriously someone should mod heartgold/soulsliver and swap Ho-oh for Celestia and Lugia for Luna

This looks AWESOME!! But I think that copyright is going to have your head for this....using Poke'mon and the such.....Are you going to change the sprites or do you already have the legalities straightened out? Because I'd hate to see this thing shut down for some stupid copyright law.

Hi, I'm the guy doing this game. I'm scrolling through here reading everyone's comments and trying to use them to better the game.
First: Some people don't like spike's sprite? I was fairly pleased with it, but I'm going back and changing sprites all the time. What is the problem with it. It can change.
Second: Yes, Spike is not a colt. I know.

Yay. Ponies, and I was tired of everyone doing Emerald edits. Firered needed this.
But spike as main player? Playing as a pony has more possibilities.
