This is unrelated to the nightly roundup but I thought some of you ponies may be interested to see how The Great and Powerful Seth handled the initial ridicule that came with watching our beloved ponies! I never knew much about Seth before but this speaks volumes for his brony pride and his ability to love and tolerate the $*** out of any neigh-sayers. Use our Great and Powerful Leader as a role model for what it means to be a brony, though we are criticized publicly, sometimes even by those we thought to be friends, there's always a Luna hiding within each hater, they just need to realize that friendship is magic.
P.S. I tend to make things a bit too epic and I believe this is one of those times, but, I thought it was cool to see one of our most prominent representatives struggle like so many of us did while trying to spread the word of friendship.
What a great cake! And I suppose that means I must post my Lyrabon later today. =P

Unfortunately, that reference was made only due to a request by someone at PAX East to put a My Little Pony in the comic they were drawing live. So Gabe just loaded up the first hit for "My Little Pony" on Google Image Search and drew a Pinkie Pie, but it was from Generation 3. Nothing FiM-related.
That said, a couple weeks ago Tycho made a tweet that looked promising, but no followup yet.

Hating on the guy who gives us our daily supply of pony just because he *might* be part of one of the Internet's biggest subcultures?
And here I thought bronies would be above accepting general misconceptions and intended misinformations as truth. And yet, every time the possibility of Seth being a furry comes up, you all throw that whole "love and tolerance" thing out the window.
You all know what the neighsayers of the world see bronies as? Raging furries. Most, if not all of them, have at one point or another thought of all bronies as the same thing you're all criticizing Sethisto for right now.
And just like all of you, their evidence is based off of false perceptions and the occasional poorly-worded saying.
Sure, there might be reasonable evidence to point to Seth being a furry, but does that mean he's a stereotype case? Not by a longshot. The phrase "I am a furry" doesn't mean "I jack off to pictures of animals who look like people." Not by any means.

You seem to think my post was focusing entirely on you.
I'm not saying *you* hate furries specifically, I'm saying that the general opinion of them is a bad one. Perhaps I could have worded what I said better, but when it comes right down to it, the accusation here - not necessarily from you, but from plenty of people who have mentioned Seth's possible affinity in the past - is that he's missing the entire point of the fandom just so he can clop to ponies.
And while I'm not trying to say whether or not that's true, what I'm saying is, anyone who assumes that is missing the entire point of the fandom themselves just because they'd rather hate.

When you have such power over a fandom people will want to know where your bias lies. And when these people maybe have a tendency to do sick things and perhaps will expose us to those sick things, then yes its a good reason to hate them. The "point" of this fandom is to love the show. Not to turn a blind eye to those that would destroy of defile it. Its time to stop using "Love and Tolerance" As an excuse for apathy. I think Love and tolerance is used more often by clop fiction arthors and Rule 34 artists

But that's just it, he *hasn't* tried to expose you to clopfics or anything of the sort. Sure, there was that brief period when he included the saucier images in drawfriends, and there was that one DashXPinkie comic from a week or two ago, but the saucy pictures dropped off rather quickly, and that comic was taken down in no time at all.
Sure, Seth might occasionally goof up a bit, but he still stays up day after day making sure this place remains updated, so the occasional slip-up is excusable when there's between 10 and 20 posts a day.
If you'll notice, Seth made that thread back in January, when he as well as the rest of the fandom was rather new. So he might not have picked his words that carefully back then. Does that mean that he's "evil?" Not at all.
At this point, I'm just going to go back to what I was doing, because it seems like this entire argument was just me misunderstanding what you were saying. I'd rather we not waste time just failing to see that we agree with each other, so I'll end it on that note. Hopefully you can forgive me for being a bit irrational in my comment.

Regarding the Tesco display, I work for Tesco (superstore stock controller) so I thought I should let you know that that is just a promotional display. We call the off fixture displays and we usually get them when we have a promotion (you'll notice the yellow labels on the left side of the display) we are trying to push or a new line that a contractor has bought premium space for. There is most likely more toys (although not necessarily a greater range) in the toy fixture.
I want a season 2 episode with Luna doing that exact thing.
If you're around the University of Sydney brony folk, that picture was mine. If you ever see a guy walking around with what appears to be a samurai sword (it's actually an umbrella) or wearing my rainbow dash shirt (colour of her coat, cutie mark on the front left side), that's me, say 20% cooler.
