Between Ponychan and MLP Arena, a bunch of new merch has popped up, primarily from that Taobao site. In this new wave of stuff you can find a bunch of these new keychain versions of the blindbag ponies (Though some of them are new ponies altogether), along with a brushable Celestia, and fashion style Rainbow Dash. Too bad Celestia is STILL PINK!
They even have a papercraft line coming out, though I'm pretty sure Kna has us covered with that!
It's a shame that the molded set supposedly didn't do too well. Brushable is neat and all, but having the realistic Rainbow Dash haircut out of the box would be amazing. Thanks to Angela for the heads up on all of this.

I don't understand what's all the fuss about Celestia being pink, ok I gotta agree this might bit too dark of a pink, but she IS pink in the sow, just a very light shade, but in some episode the pink color is more than obvious(also her outline is dark pink) the only "white" ponies Ive seen are the royal guards (grey outline) even rarity is a very light grey(grey outline) yet not pure white. I even tried picking my colors for a fanart directly from screenshots of the episode and I never got something close to white(except for the eyes) anyway I might try to get that fluttershy.....yay

keychains? bah. i've been MAKING those out of pocket ponies for months, way easier than trying to hunt down which store might end up carrying those.
and dressed up dash looks a little excessive, but ALL the pocket ponies when covered with all their accessories look a little excessive, so i'm not that upset. just means she'll only have the shoes and glasses on when i set her up out of the box.

Wow, I am actually sort of stunned that Hasbro didn't put Rainbow Dash in a flowing gown. Stunned but happy. Love the sunglasses and the Mercury shoes.
I prefer the brushables because they are most like to the ponies of my childhood. Brushable Celestia would be cool, but also not digging the pink. How have they not fixed this by now, lazy I swear.
I actually got brave and gave my rainbow dash and a couple other ponies haircuts to make them look more as they should Still need to figure out how to style them a bit better but overall happy with the results:

Personally, I'm not a fan of brushable hair. As a (anime) figurine collector, I like my collectables to look crisp and accurate to how the characters should look.
Still waiting for a normal-looking Celestia (and a Luna) figurine to come out. And a decent-looking Rainbow Dash.
Speaking as someone who grew up with the ponies, I'm a fan of the brushable hair. I know some bronies in the communuity prefer show-accuracy and that's something I can totally respect (I have several statues and anime figures gracing my desk and shelves) But in my head, ponies are for brushing and plastic pink Celestia was a double letdown. Now my plastic one is painted white! I'll probably do the same to the brushable one.
Rainbow Dash looks....she needs Rarity's help, stat! However I'm excited there is a pegasus base now for the styling ponies for the modders to mod. I think we just had pinkie and rarity before, so yay!
