For those of you that are into the whole dating sim game thing, a Friendship is Magic one has been in progress for a while now. Following the trend of all the other major projects, they have started up a website, and released a bunch of new information based on a survey they did a while back.
You can find it all below in one big pile of copypaste goodness. And I guess I'll toss the image down there too...
We now have a website: http://gentlecolts.weebly.com where we will post updates and stuff, so make sure to bookmark it and check back once in a while! It's new and still under construction; the current look is temporary until we can fix something neater (anypony out there skilled with design and CSS?).
On the first page of that website is a survey about male characters. Please fill it out if you are interested in romancing males. You are to vote on a scale of 1-5 how much you would be interested in the following characters: Spike, Big Mac, Braeburn, Soarin, Hoity Toity, Prince Blueblood, Caramel and Steven Magnet.
Please note that even if Spike becomes a romance option, he will ABSOLUTELY NOT HAVE ANY RULE 34, EVEN IN THE ADULT VERSION. You'll get like, a hug at most.

Dating Sims always make me laugh since most players (and I use that term with a straight face) are just looking for the sexual bits.
I've always thought about putting story behind shipping in order to give things more emotional weight, like what Buttersc0tch did with Swayback Mountain. But this is Emil's game, and I respect whatever he decides to do.
Trying to encapsulate somethibg like Romance on a human level from a non-human origin is a diffficult task. At least, it's difficult to not screw up.
As... Intrigued as I am with the prospect of building, maintaining and advancing a relationship with the cast of the show, I hold my excitement until the game's completion.

There are many people who do not enjoy pony rule 34. They just ignore it or say that it is not their thing in a respectable manner.
However, there are a few people like you that are implying that, if you had the power to, you would destroy all forms of pony rule 34 and keep people from making it in the future. This kind of thought makes me dissapointed but I will never keep you from having your opinion.

I have Javascript enabled (and I just tested to make sure) but I cannot take the survey. It just displays "null". After the first time, it also displays a message box saying I've already taken the survey, but clearing my cookies gets around that part. I am using Firefox 6.0.
Continuing from above... I had no luck on IE either, but I was eventually able to take the survey by completely disabling CSS. Before, I could see that it was unhiding the survey when I clicked the link, but it would immediately navigate to a new page.

Glad that the 300+ comment debate shrunk to an extent from the last time this game was mentioned.
Looking forward to this and glad to see it's still making progress. I always do enjoy a good story, especially when you get at least 7+ different ones at the same time.
I admit that continuing the story past dating and into marriage/parenthood would potentially make the story even better if done well enough. That was one of the reasons I liked Clannad.
Just talking out loud, not forcing you to put anything in, it's your game and so far it seems to be doing fine. Keep up the good work.

I don't know why but I kinda don't care about the dating sim. I know I should care more and honestly I should be all like, "IT'S A KID'S SHOW! IS THIS SERIOUSLY WHAT SHOULD COME OUT OF A KID'S SHOW?!" But for some reason I have no opinion of it.

I just don't understand the concept of this. If it's a dating sim game where you pick a character and then try to hookup with another character then that's cool. If there's an adult version does that mean R-34 is in effect? If so then why not allow Spike and Rarity to hook up and have an R-34 moment? That would be Spikes greatest fantasy realized.
