Byrpheros is the pony who's making Equestria Tales, by the way. You may recall our posting of some demo work of his engine a while back. I'm talking months.
In this little interview, he talks about making the game, the challenges of a cell-shaded game in particular, and teases us about a beta. You can find the interview in Docs format here.

Definitely make it modable if its not too much work. I know how to mod some games and I'd mod the heck out of this if I could.

Hmm, something tells me that the person who made the Pinkie Demo isn't the same person working on THIS game. I could be wrong, though.

This is looking cool. I anticipate the news of further development. Definitely try to make it modable and accessible.
Coming from a TES fan, modability is the life-blood of these types of games, and as it is in this community, I have no doubt we would see some amazing things, if you are able to allow them to happen.
Whoa...I thought the only cool pony game being made was Fighting is Magic...I love being a brony!
Though I like the idea of pony games, something, just SOMETHING about this one makes me cringe and makes me feel like it won't end well, anyone else have that feeling?
If only Bioware got hold of this plot...
