Second comic makes a LOT of sense if you stop to think about it. Imagine just how repressed those upper class ponies are, if their biggest social event is just the same old thing, year after year. An event so monotonous that Princess Celestia goes out of her way to try to liven up through underhanded (underhooved?) methods.
So, I don't see it as a stretch at all that one of the repressed ponies, when exposed to the utter excitement and sheer fun that is Pinkie Pie, even if it is just a brief contact high in a, ahem, sensitive area, would find herself wondering just what the hay happened. I don't think she's slipped into the 'shipping zone' as it were, but I bet she looking back at how dull and stiff things have been for her lately, and wondering if she needs a change of scenery in her daily activities,and if that pink pony is the one who can help her find some fun in her life.

Yeah, the comic made it! I love that Pinkie/Surprise comic so much, the artwork is fantastic and the premise is just hilarious; nearly spit out my drink when she began transforming.
Second comic was good, not sure what sparked that though. Seems shipping is necessary for everything in the show :\

It makes so much sense, that first comic, because Surprise's colour scheme does look like a Super Saiyan version of Pinkie!
I wonder how Rainbow Dash reacted after that comic ended, I mean, Pinkie just sprouted wings, changed colours, altered her Cutie Mark's colour, and displayed an abundance of magic despite lackng a horn. Pinkie Pie flies (no pun intended) in the face of everything everypony took as fact.

I like your idea on the second comic. Not EVERYTHING has to be about shipping. I'd love to see a fic written based on that idea.
Sadly we won't even get a part 2 of the comic. I've found the artists deviantart page, and they said they didn't plan to go anywhere with it. They just wanted to draw that one comic. :/

The second comic is a fanfic that MUST be made. In the wrong writer's hands, it would spell disaster, but in the right ones (Butterscotch is a good candidate, methinks), it would be a masterpiece.

People like these, who over-analyse things, are part of the reason why this fandom is so creative. People like these helped create Derpy Hooves with their love of speculating and imagining things. So don't say they're over thinking it like it is a bad thing.

For anyone who doesn't get it. Pinkie pie was originally supposed to be Surprise,the white pegasus with golden hair. Who was a character in g1. However Hasbro lost the rights to her due to that we got Pinkie Pie instead who was also supposed to be a pegasus.

It doesn't have to be outright shipping even. If you put yourself in the same position of being at some big fancy formal event and outta nowhere some wild chick runs up and bumps up against your ass a few times while trying to change the mood of the whole setting, you WILL be thinking of it later when you go do bed even if it's just from the sheer random craziness of the event itself.

The first one is awesome, I really like the designs for the G4-versions of the G1 ponies that Lauren Faust did. However, a flying Pinkie would be a terrifying thing indeed!

I really needed someone to comment on that scene. It's a kid's show and Pinkie pie's just started a "PARTEH!" by starting one of those night club musics, and then, she shoves her head up this random chick's butt going "Uhn! Yeah! Mmm!" And I'm just "Umm...dude, wat." and being all kinda uncomfortable with all this sexual innuendo flying all over the damn place out of fucking nowhere, and I'm just wondering if this seriously is intentional or No, it couldn't be. And this scene goes for about 2 seconds and I'm just all, Ok... that's kinda awkward... and then I just forget about it.
First was a hilarious kind of creepy.
