I'm seeing Derpy's popularity fall in bit in fanfiction lately and move on to comics.
This is actually awesome. The comic relief version of her personality works great. I don't really know why she spawned a pile of sad stuff.

A friend linked me to this comic on dA shortly before this post. I have to say, it's totally awesome. Derpy and especially Dinky are just so adorable.
...Also, what's utterly horrifying in retrospect is that Scootaloo's got an ahegao expression at the end. I need to go inject brainbleach now.

The art's good but I don't much like the comic... :P Derpy is overrated.
It's cute, but it makes me think that the fandom is turning her from an awesome character into a Mary Sue.
@Clementine Yea, even I think the fandom is just starting to cram the abilities of the mane six into Derpy, turning her into a Mary Sue, and I love Derpy.

YES!!! Her character has changed so rapidly. I think her mysteriousness also used to be part of the fun but now she's been squashed into so many stories and comics ect. IDK, nowadays she just gets on my nerves :P

Yea, and what I think bugs me the most about it, is the flimsy, paper thin excuses the fans give to try to cover her sudden abilities. Like with comic, Derpy gets her sudden Rainbow Dash like speed because of "muffins." And in another she suddenly gets Pinkie Pie like, physics defying randomness because, "she forgot it was impossible." And in another one, she suddenly becomes a Twilight like genius because, "she was hiding it." Really, I think it's a slap in the face to Derpy for fans to think she needs all those abilities to be an awesome character.
How da hek does she pull that/those booms off??
