This is unrelated, but I need help with something and don't know where else to put it.
I'm writing a fic, and the word "Manned" as in "The person manning the counter" has come up.
But it's about ponies.
What is the pony substitute for manned?
Should I go with the obvious translations, like stallionned or ponnied?
Or should I go with a pun, like maned?

I'd suggest 'none of the above' Go with something like 'behind the counter' or similar.
Just when I thought there was a fanfic for every possible pony...
This is great. I could not stop grinning throughout the story. I love how you set up a ridiculous premise and then have the characters all take it seriously.
@Anonymous-I'd suggest "ponied", since it fits best with the show's conventions. "Mared" could also work if it's gender-appropriate. Or go with "staffed" and dodge the issue.

At first, I wasn't quite sure what I was reading. I mean, the Quill and Sofa pony? Really? But then I continued it, and I laughed like crazy at a lot of the story. Especially at Spike's '"Oh man..." even though he doesn't know what a man is', and how Rainbow must be Equestria's reigning Rock, Paper, Scissors champion with how much she abused the system there to cheat Spike out of a win.
Penultimate paragraph was priceless! Keep up the great work

That was fun, I could certainly see this as the plot for an actually episode.
This does bring up the question of how ponies play Rock,Paper,Scissors with only hooves. I assume only they can really tell the difference between the signs.
That was really good felt like something for the actual show which is really nice. The premise was kinda silly but it made up for the really good writing.
The Rock,Paper,Scissors and Lyra being thrown out of a chair made me laugh pretty hard.
I like it when fics feature two characters who rarely interact with eachother. Spike and Rainbow Dash having a rivalry has so many potential, especially in sillier stories like this one.
Very funny! Poor Lyra, just as she was getting used to that nice sofa.

No modifications necessary. The pony manning the cash register can hand over change, even though it's not a man and doesn't have hands. That's just English -- trying to modify the language for ponies is really awkward.

As a person who had a sales job earlier this Summer Dash and Spike came off as a little too strong for their sales. Spike had the right Idea while talking to Lyra but blew it when he lacked the proper knowledge about the Sofa.
Either way it got some laughs from me.

Some really nice ideas in there. Ponys playing Rock Paper Scissors? Lyra trying out Sofas? Slowpoke the turtle? Just perfect :)
But the story should be marked complete, it is finished after all and I nearly didn't read it because of the incomplete tag.
