I just feel it's over used. I love it in 'Progress' since that's where it began, but I just wish people were more original in their interpretation of her.

    5. I know Progress gets a lot of love around here, but this may be my favorite interpretation of Luna (and Celestia) yet. The chess game in particular was an great scene.

    10. I love how your making Luna's personality and hope she might be something like this on the show next season. Great story so far and am waiting for more!

    11. This is a fantastic story, I love how it makes Luna likeable and fun-loving while at the same time retaining those aspects of her personality that Nightmare Moon embodied - she's no meek penitent. Celestia's well written too.

And I loved the truth behind Canterlot's founding. :)

    12. This was the first interpretation of Luna in a fanfic that really made me hope that the Luna in season 2 will be as awesome as her fanon.

    13. I am apparently employee #23. Great. Good to know.

I really liked this fic. After that last Luna one I screened I really wanted happy Luna. Pranky Luna is just my favorite interpretation of her So bonus! Good job nifboy!

    14. THIS was fun. And we actually get to see the 'goddess' side of the goddesses a good deal more than you sometimes do in regular fics. The gargoyle-sculpting, the casual hugging-even-though-she's-on-fire, and of course, the chess scene. I think the chess scene sold the fic as a whole.

      Excellent work.

    15. Very cute, with some goddess level magic prankings. Loved it.

That's what I love about this story. Luna isn't just written as a shy, retiring waif who's nervous about everything...you see a little awkwardness here and there, but you also see intelligence, determination, and a wicked sense of humor. "I can smell your fear" indeed.

      ReplyDelete
    17. THIS is how Luna should be written, damnit.

    18. This was not quite what I expected; it's better. I loved the relationship you developed between the sisters, it was an almost perfect balance of seriousness and light-hearted fun. Pranky Luna is an awesome Luna.

    19. The moon-cheese speech and the chess scene were the best. I imagine what must have been going through that one guard's mind upon seeing the board and lol.

      ReplyDelete
    20. What's best about the chess scene is that Celestia goes along with it too. I about lost it when the guard walks in while she's creating a miniature guillotine and humming funeral music. Admit it, you can see Princess Celestia getting into a game of magical battle-chess complete with the most ADORABLE public executions.

      ReplyDelete
    21. Heh. I really have to say that it wouldn't surprise me to discover that Celestia's oh-so-stoic royal guard are just there to see what it takes her to make them lose it. :)

      Awesome!

    25. Luna: 'Did you just move your pawn forward two spaces on the same turn?'
Celestia: 'Screw the rules, I'm a goddess.'

    26. Prank Luna is so... adorable.

I have to admit, as much as I love a shy/secluded Luna, this Luna is... I dunno, healthier? If I have to choose which I'd rather see in an actual episode, this would probably be it.

    27. "I can smell your fear, you know."
Oh man, I lost it. 5/5

    28. @BlankFlankBrony CURSE YOU! now my morning will be consumed by that black hole of a website.

      ReplyDelete
    29. THIS is the Luna I love the most! Willing to share her feelings openly. I imagine that, being immortal (we assume), this personality fits her most, other fics show her as a dark and depressed, social-reject, but after thousands of years of life, she will know that it gets you nowhere.

So much like her sister XD
      Trollestia and Trolluna, together forever.

      ReplyDelete
    30. Ehehehe, if this is what becomes of the canon Luna, I'd be so happy. If there's a Luna episode I'd like to see her transition from the sad Luna which came just came back from the moon, and then into this Luna.

QFT. This story had so much win...

    33. As much as like the Luna in "Progress", I also loved this one. Shy Luna works best if you assume that Nightmare Moon was more of a split personality. But you can tell that this Luna suffered a lot, and she hasn't magically forgotten it after the whole Elements of Harmony thing. I hope to see more of this version her.

    34. I like the truth behind Canterlot's founding. It's not Tyrant Celestia, it's just that the fricking pony's won't let her quit.

And after that killer game of chess I want to see the sisters play something else. Goddess level Risk would be neat.

      ReplyDelete
    35. The chess scene was great, had a mad grin on my face reading that.

      ReplyDelete
    36. Hah, and that's how Canterlot was made.

      LUNA CAN SMELL YOUR FEAR

That chess game, what the hell.

This was very cute, and I would compare it favorably to other Luna fics like Progress. Never before have I seen both Trollestia and Trolluna in one place. Good work!

      ReplyDelete
    37. This was quietly funny and clever rather than being LOL material. Which is not bad at all, I quite enjoyed it. And the ending was very touching. Good work!

    38. It's a sweet story, but I groaned at one point: an Earth Pony who "everyone else called Rock, but I called Press Lee?" I suppose he wanted to be the King too, KnowwhutImean?

    43. I linked to this story from "The Game of Princesses". As soon as I did, I realized I had already read it. But it's such a fun story I decided to read it again! :D

      Thanks for you're great work.

    44. Pretty interesting story.

The humor was of an also interesting kind...
I especially liked the 'chess game' part and when Luna hugs Celestia, while on *Fire!* ;).

      ''I'm on fire ? Doesn't matter, let's hug !'' ;)
