Apparently ponychan is down, and has been since 3:00 AM.
It was probably just derpy breaking things or tripping over cables again. Hopefully it will all be up and running soon.

A 502 can't be caused by a DDOS, but rather by a grave soft- or hardware failure. Maybe the company providing the root server has some proplems with the power...

There was an attack, actually it wasn't even an attack. Some troll from /b/ just made a thread going "hurr durr you guise are gey", he got banned in like a minute or something, so it couldn't have been that. Hopefully the website isn't in any drastic danger.

Newsflash: It's all a matter of perspective. In my opinion, ponychan frequently IS weird. Just not necessarily the BAD kind of weird. If you read something you don't like, just ignore it. It works MUCH better then trying to convince people over the internet that your opinion > their opinion.

I lurk ponychan sometimes, but I stay away from /oat/ for the most part. I can appreciate the whole "love and tolerance" spiel, but some people on ponychan just go way overboard with it. Honestly, I'd just like to find threads where I can discuss the show, and the newest fan art/music, etc. The "love and tolerance" demagoguing just isn't for me.

Ponychan is great to cheer you up if you feel down and stuff. I know this sounds pathatic but it's actually ture. The only thing I kinda mind are the guys who are actually buying brushable ponies that don't look like the ponies from the show at all. OK, I just orderd the Twilight blindpack from ebay, but she actually looks like Twilight.

Ponychan is kind of a huge hugbox, bro, and not everyone likes that; you should be accepting that by now, if you're so tolerant and stuff. Meh, but that's just my opinion.

I frequent /fic/ and /collab/ on Ponychan, and occasionally /media/. I don't see the hugboxes. I don't see the crazy "I love you you love me happy family" crap.
I'm sure that's only on /oat/, /pony/, and other places in Ponychan. I'm content where I'm at.
I agree on the /pony/ remark, that's where I am the most often. As far as the love and tolerance comments, it's obvious to everyone here that we're nicer in pony threads then we were in other threads before MLP showed up. I like that. But, I was around for that alleged "raid" last night, and the two things that stick out in my mind are the rainbow buttfucking lions the "raider" posted, and the thread dedicated to forming an "action team" to help sad people. I mean, COME ON.

Well Rarity Does have a clothing store whatever you whatever to call it but it is possible Twilight wanted to support Rarity's shop or a mission from Celestia or something also possible that another friend (such as cheerilee) asked her to fix a dress for her but was to busy or something a lot of possibilities i could come up with and i do not want to have to keep making up even more so ill just leave it at this

/oat/ contains almost all of the negative stereotypes about ponychan. Sad/suicide threads, meaningless threads, immature people, attention-whoring, and occasionally hugboxing all occur there. Want to talk about ponies without dealing with "HURR DURR THIS IS THE (Popular user's) APPRECIATION THREAD, TELL ME HOW MUCH YOU LOVE ME HERE!"? Go to /pony/.
Ponychan is one of my favorite websites and I spend tons of time there almost every day, but I'm not touching /oat/ with a 10 foot pole.
Also, what's everyone's problem with people being friendly? I, like many other bronies, personally don't believe in the whole "Love and tolerance no matter how much of a dumbass the other guy is", but this shouldn't mean that we get to act like a douche whenever we want. I'm sick of people saying "Love and tolerance is retarded so that means we don't have any good reason not to be dicks"
P.S. Why can't we just acknowledge that other parts of the fandom that we don't like exist and deal with it instead of whining about it? I always see ponychanners complaining about how everyone that faps to ponies is a sick, disturbed fucker and bronies from all over the fandom complaining that ponychan is filled with weirdos.
