I think Hub noticed that concern of ours, and has been slipping us these little treats to keep us interested and waiting for season 2 with baited breath.
I mean, what other reason would they have? These ads are probably not all that effective on little girls who have never owned an iPhone, become Katy Perry fans yet or seen ads for "Bridesmaids". These ads have gotta be for *us*.

Yeah, but at the same time the ads are also pink, colorful, and feature the ponies. Plus, they've seen their parents on their cell phones, so they know what they /are/.
That said, yes, a good chunk of this is probably for the Bronies. I mean hell, Rarity's secret? That's one of those references designed for when the kids grow up and watch the show again. Which I absolutely LOVE about MLP.

Did some research (google, wikipedia, bing, etc...). Nothing really interesting or related to the show or MLP in general. Must just be a set of random numbers if I'm wrong.
Also, am I the only one having trouble downloading the .mov file included in the post? It finishes in 1 second, as 0 KB. It shouldn't do that. I'm not blocking anything and I've tried this in firefox, chrome (my main browser) and IE.

Hay Ninja is likely the pony version of "Fruit Ninja", where you swipe to slice as many fruit as you can. It's a fun game, I have it for Android.
Honestly, this ad was just plain of awesome, I would totally buy "Angry Mare"-video game! Too bad people will probably freak out that they have already lost the game and are doomed watching Luna laughing for all eternity.

Am I the only one here ho isn't a fan of this promo? First of all that isn't a reference to Cupcakes at least I don't think it is, but if it is the commercial pisses me off even more. Having things like Equestria Girls is nice, the Bridlemaids billboard was pushing it, and this? Makes me seriously question if I even want to watch season 2, I thought this show was dedicated towards everyone not the internet. I love this show but throwing in little shout outs like this is making me question whether or not I want to watch it anymore.

Hmm.. was there new animation in that spot? I don't ever recall seeing Rarity in that red and white dress in season 1, or that scene with Fluttershy gathering flowers. Not that it's season 2 footage, but If they went as far as to reference Derpy, Equestria Daily, "secret butt fun", and possibly Cupcakes, then I wouldn't be surprised :)
