They haven't announced a release date for them yet. Unfortunately these are hanging out on that chinese Taobao website right now. Judging by the sticker, they will be a Toys R' Us exclusive, so at least we know they will finally be heading to the states.

My mane issue with the mini-ponies is not the forehead but the cheekbones; They fine from the side, but by god they squirrels storing nuts from the front.
Speaking of which, I am quite glad that I held out on buying that Rainbow Dash; That means that I'll only have a duplicate Rarity when I scoop this up like a madman, and one can never have too much Rarity.
Yeah, the BBs (and these) are mostly just recolored versions of the same 4 poses.

What are the names of all the recolours? They're not apart of the Blind Bag series, that's for sure. And my eyes aren't good enough to read that incredibly small print...
These aren't the same as the blind bags, with the exception of the six main characters. The other six are not available in the blind bags and are exclusive to this set. It's hard to make out all the names, but there's definitely Peachie Pie, Sky Wishes and Coconut Cream. All were originally G3 ponies.
I'm definitely picking this up as soon as I see it, but I already have Rarity, RD, Pinkie, AJ and TS (I got them from Big Lots) so I'll either trade them or try my hand at customs.

Wow I have seen more convincing looking recolors on DA where the author used MS Paint.
It looks like some of these are recycled characters from the G3 line. Coconut Cream is exactly the same and they just changed the species of Sweetsong and Gardenia Glow. The Hasbro toy department is so lazy it scares me. :/

I'm actually excited to see the G3s done as FiM style Ponies, especially Skywishes!! I've always loved her color scheme, and it's nice to see she got wings.
And Coconut Cream looks very cute in AJ's Pose, I love her white body and then bright colorful mane...Now if Only Hasbroken can get off their lazy bums and fix Celestia's toy colors! White and multi-color looks soo much more pretty than the pink which washes out Celestia's hair..

I'm also still hoping for legit blindbags in the US. This is only half the blind bag set, and it's not cool if they call it quits half way through. I really don't see the other 12 blind bag ponies being released together, unless hasbro makes 3 more 4-packs, with each 4-pack containing one of the three sparkle versions (Twilight, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash)) and 3 more of the recolors. I want that one that's easy to mod into Derpy Hooves/Ditzy Doo at least, and I can clearly see she ain't in this set.
I'd be cool with no blind bags, of they did 3 sets of new 4-packs to push the sparkle ponies. That also leaves room for 3 more 4-packs in the future, and they could do sparkle versions of AJ, Rarity, and Fluttershy. That opens the door for there being either a new mold or two, or even some more (9 to be exact) simple recolors, but hay, I'll takem.

So 12 of the 24 are in a set, 6 of the 12 are mane charters.
The remaining 12 that are not in the set consist of 6 Sparkling versions of the mane, so I wonder if there will be a second set.

These are the same as the blind bags and the 4 pack. Dashie is an awesome little pony. Perfectly sized if you want the keychain thing. I tend to pocket my Dash. If I ever die, I'll be remembered as a brony!
These toys are tiny, but they are nice. They have acceptable level of detail, and actually come in a wider variety of poses than the 3 inch scale. I wish Hasbro would pull off twice as many molds, and do even more recolors. The number of mold styles is enough for many mods, provided you ware willing to work. I think it would be amazing if they doubled the mold count to cover more hair styles and poses.
I still want the other 12 blind bag ponies, including the sparkle versions. I hope they bump the total blind bag count to 48 from the former 24. that would rock.

My problem is, the '5 character' gift set with Celesita, Applejack, Twilight & Pinkie Pie (and Spike) doesn't have an equivalent yet for RD, Flutter, and Rarity (and Luna). So the full-plastic sized ponies are only half complete.
This looks like exactly the type of pony figure set ive been looking to get. i have no other figures, and it may seem very odd to friends and relatives that these toys for young girls are piling up on my computer desk...I plan on getting this still, but I have to ask. I have yet to see a Applejack figure with a hat. Why?
