Why all the hate on the humanized ponies? As long as it's still obviously based on existing ponies, humanized art is FiM art. Therefore, it should be allowed in the drawfriend posts.

Human ponies are fun because it's seeing someones interpretation of how a pony would look as a human. It's amusing to see how many people are positive that Twilight Sparkle wears a sweater vest.
So called "anthro" ponies are silly, because ponies are already as anthropomorphic as they need to be.

Here's a recipie for a OC pony that will recieve Seth's approval that I've formulated from the last few that slipped by:
1 Celestia sized body, fresh
4 cups of death spikes
one set of premium grade-A intimidating armor
20 gallons of black food coloring
3 1/2 teaspoons of canned evil
a few pinches of salt and pepper
Pour all the ingredients into a large bowl and mix with a wooden spoon at 4500 rpm for three minutes. Banish to the sun for 1000 years and let cool. Serve with Honey and Jam.
On a more related note, Moe does really well with his scenery; I wonder how long it takes to do each of his pieces?

27- pardon me if i'm slow on this, but in the episode, didn't the poison joke mess with what they valued the most? e.g. Twilight's magic has, for most of her life, meant everything to her, right up there with studying and the princess, so her horn was screwed with, and Rarity values her appearance, so she turned... well, hideous.

I have no problem with ponies-as-human, as long as they're drawn well.
What I DO have a problem with is anthro - that's getting into furry territory and I just don't like the style. Even #8, where Luna/Nightmare have unicorn horns on their foreheads is really pushing it for me.
It's just my taste, really. I don't usually like human characters to have "accessories" like wings or horns. It just seems... off.

I mainly wanted to play around with it, anyway, and I had a ton of fun drawing it! But I did try to put some meaning behind them xD
This is what I wrote for the drawing description.
Twilight Sparkle: Insanely long and fast growing hair. For someone who works with books, papers, magic, potions, and overall more delicate things, having your hair all over the place and in your way can be a huge problem.
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, this was just an excuse to draw Dashy as a human! <3 I already drew and colored a human version of her on paper, and I wanted to try my hand at her again on the computer.
Fluttershy: Since she is so shy and never draws attention to herself, being a bright neon blue walking light isn't the most inconspicuous. I'm sure all the stares she would get would be rather uncomfortable.
Pinkie Pie: Well, besides breaking the fourth wall as usual, her brightly striped eyes with the green spots around it makes her even clumsier then ever. She can't see very easily because of it, which explains herself getting lost outside of the panels!
Zecora: Is there to just be awesome.
Wow. Most of the humanized ponies I've seen are amazingly well done, and the artists should be proud. But instead of encouraging all sorts of creativity, I have seen a lot of distaste and just plain rudeness towards to the drawings!
I don't think that is very love and friendship filled, do you? Exploring creativity should be a fun filled and happy experience! :D

I don't see a big problem with the humanized ponies. it's when people start drawing them in that "furry-anthro" style it creeps me out.
As cartoon characters they already take on semi-anthro movements when necessary. Making them even more so just detracts from the character for me and makes it almost seemed forced upon "just because."

You know what would be fun, if someone drew the ponies in the clothes they are usually drawn in when they are drawn as humans.
For example...
Twilight in a sweater vest
Fluttershy in a turtle neck sweater that is 2 to 3 sizes to big or a sundress
From what I notice the others vary wildly. I know Applejack either wears jeans or daisy dukes with either a solid orange shirt or a flannel shirt.
Rarity wears either a full dress or a kind of business get up with a black skirt and button down blouse.
Rainbow Dash wears various forms of track wear.
and Pinkie Pie... wears pink
