So so many custom ponies lately, my goodness. And some of them sell REALLY well. It never amazes me just how much some sell for.

I think Scootaloo's name is misspelled.

Hmm...so tempted to go for the Wonderbolt Rainbow Dash...probably better to wait and see for awhile.

Anyways, I've done some searching on ebay and found a new Derpy Hooves custom - http://cgi.ebay.com/My-Little-Pony-Friendship-Magic-Derpy-Hooves-Custom-/150640177098?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2312daafca

Looks very well done. I'd go for it myself, but I already got me a Derpy Custom ;P

@Anonymous

Silly brony. That's not how you spell Scootaloo.

The correct spelling of Scootaloo is Chicken! :D

The correct manner of calling said chicken is "Scootaloo, Scoot Scootaloo"

I built an "N" scale 1970 Dodge Dart and Dodge Super Bee, WITH DASHBOARDS and seats... that's 1:160 scale. A 50 foot train segment is only about 3.75 inch, or about 9 CM. I can paint with a sewing needle...

WHY THE HAY AM I NOT MAKING CUSTOM PONIES YET!!!

James Corck said...

I'm amazed nopony has already tried to make removable costumes and clothes for the ponies. I am planning on doing a Rainbow Dash with a Wonderbolts outfit you can put on her.

Dat Rainbow Dash.

I'm speechless.

Hell yeah.

@Octavia The reason some of the blind bags are selling well is because one of the sellers is having serious money problems and I guess some people are just nice enough to want to help. I don't think the other people realize that.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous
Well, some people also just like customizing miniatures and enjoy helping people who can't do that get them. For some people it's not all about money.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous

I have another theory;

Fans want to pay more for awesome repaints than mediocre ones, and you are the person having "serious money problems" brought on by the fact that you wasted 2,000 dollars on the picture of winged Pinkie.
Sorry, but you can't be the only one doing customs.

Stop trying to guilt people, it's trashy and lame. EVERYONE has money issues, but most of us haven't got there by spending thousands of dollars on a sketch we couldn't afford. If anything, "she" (you) deserves -less- patronage.

@Anonymous When you need money to survive it's not about money in the least it's survival. Some people work 6 days a week and are still unable to even eat bread! Others it can easily just be greed and a quick buck. Who's to know anyway.

I do like that Rainbow Dash wonderbolt though.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous I'M not the one wish problems, I'm just responding from what I've seen in the past. I'm just a third party.

LadyDraconic said...

@Anonymous Firstly Mike shouldn't be speaking on my part, I've told him many times about that.

Secondly, when was donating money to charity considered a waste. Shame on you, that could very well have helped someone. That money was from the sale of a collection, not from work wages. It's a moot point because that collection was originally not going to be sold, so that money would have not existed otherwise.

My debt comes from a person asking me to charge something onto my credit card as a favor for them, a birthday gift for a family member of mine. However they refused to pay me back causing the interest to add up. That's where the money trouble comes from. Sorry for trusting family, maybe I shouldn't do that. It wasn't much of an issue until my home life was threatened unless I pay it off by the end of August.

I don't give two craps if someones doing customs. I know the reason why I'M making them and I wouldn't be if I didn't need to. Mike's right about my working six days a week, the rest of the time I spend on making customs. And I know some people just plain enjoy painting.

Sorry about Mike overstepping his boundaries. I told him many times to shut up.

So that's the end of that.

Anonymous said...

@LadyDraconic

Do you spend money exclusively in the thousands? If I was one credit-card charge away from the poorhouse, I wouldn't go giving 2,000 bucks to charity. I thought that would've been a no-brainer.

The severity of these money issues sounds roughly proportionate to those suffered by many people I know.

Generosity is fine unless you do it so recklessly that you end up in a position where you have to post anonymously on a message board to discourage people from buying anyone's wares but your own.

Most of us have been on the internet for way too long to believe that "Mike" exists at all. (In the extremely unlikely event that I'm wrong, you'll probably want to kick Mike's butt for several hours, because your credibility in this matter has been severely compromised).

But yeah, it's just you samefriending.

LadyDraconic said...

@Anonymous
You're welcome to check IPs, you'd see they're different.

As as I said before (which you obviously didn't clearly read). The money I donated came from a collection that I wasn't planning to sell anyway. So if I hadn't wanted to donate I'd have not had that money to begin with, hence it's MOOT. What was four months ago isn't the same situation now. Who really cares if I end up being left for this whole mess right?

Also I don't post anonymously, I've always used either this, my DA or my LJ.

I had thought I'd ended this bullshit, but you seem willing to extend the argument. Hence my saying "So that is the end of that."

You want to go yell at Mike yourself? Go bug him, his names GriobhBan on youtube.

I don't have time for this, I have work for the next six days straight and I have things to do. Go take it up with him.

Anonymous said...

@LadyDraconic

Because you declaring something is over automatically ends it, and saying that you don't post anonymously when I suspect you're being deceptive will convince me otherwise.

So you work a full time job; why are you trying to make it sound like such a big deal?

Everytime I hear about you it seems like it's something to do with getting sympathy and trying to make people buy your stuff over everyone else as though having financial woes and a full time job somehow makes you unlike the other people who do customs.

It's unfair, and it's gotten old.

@"Mike"

The easiest way to combat the issue of "greed" -

(Which, isn't someone raising funds to pay off debt actually a LOT more greedy than someone who wants to share their work and whatever people pay is gravy??)

Anyway...

The easiest way to fend off the greedy others is to become better! If LadyDraconic wants to make money, she should *probably* try harder and make a decent product.

Just saiyan.

Anonymous said...

@Anonymous Her stuff's a lot better than that garbage other people are putting out.

Greed is making something and putting it straight onto ebay, not even wanting to keep it for themselves. It's called putting LOVE into your work. I can see love in a lot of these people's work, but not from the one that just makes it to shove it onto Ebay.

Look who else is being Anonymous. How about you use your name then hmm? You're the one dragging it out. Some people have already gone to sleep!

Not a way to treat a lady in the least.

-The Mighty Griffon

Anonymous said...

Oh and a full time job is 5 days a week, not six. If it were legal some people would be working all seven days.

Hope Loneheart said...

O.O What ever happened to "Love and Tolerate" you guys?!?

Busoni said...

@Anonymous

That isn't greed, that is called requiring food and such and needing the money to obtain such required items.. I honestly made the Rainbow Dash custom because I love MLP and it makes me happy. The fact other people like it too has made me so happy; the fact I also get to feed my family made my day/week/month as well! It is a blessing that I did not expect.

So if wanting to feed your family is greedy, you can call me that but I would say you're wrong.

Final note: If you think you can do it, get up and do it instead of wasting your time only saying you can, silly!

I NEED that Rainbow Dash..
