It's a fun idea. While I don't necessarily want it to be taken too seriously, after some consideration and some points raised by others when I knee-jerk called it my new fanon, I like the comic.

For the record, I'm the Stargazer from Ponychan (for example, http://www.ponychan.net/chan/art/res/23052.html )and have been since at least February, and I post here as Stargazer from time to time as well. Not saying I somehow own the name or anything silly like that. Just wanted to give a head's up.
That was my first thought when I saw Boast Busters. TGAPT and NMM had such a similiar modus operandi. Wonderful fanon and until season 2 nothing is set into stone.
Until we see a pony disquse themselves as another Pony in the series, we have to call this off I'm afraid.
Granted, Twilight might eventually try something like this to help one of her friends out. Some sort of the "Being in 2 places at once" sort of deal...
That, or Zecora's knows how to brew Polyjuice Potion.
I'd like it if Luna kept a bit of an edge in season 2. She got pissed off enough at Celestia to turn into an evil superbeing with her own war gear, so it wouldn't seem OOC to me if she still had a slight spiteful streak now all is forgiven.
Luna could just be trying to cover her tracks. Who would suspect a pony to be the same pony they just tried to disprove? That or Sethisto got the commercial email before this comic.
I like it. Whether I like this being fannon or not, I'm sure this will end up making great stories in the future.

Me, I've always liked Luna as a bit of an artist and trickster. Bookish Abacus Luna is cute and all, but it doesn't quite fit my idea of a moon goddess.

Well now that my head is back on, this does make sense as Celestia may have been trying to show her that her self-centeredness is what caused everypony to hate her a thousand years ago.
There really WAS a Great and Powerful Trixie, only she NEVER ACTUALLY MET Twilight Sparkle or ever been to Ponyville, with the Trixie who DID actually being Luna-in-disguise? (With the real Trixie being just as haughty (if not more so) than Fake-Trixie was).

Even so, it is disturbing how easily the producers could devastate the fandom by making this canon. All those Trixie fics– *fwoosh* –just like that. And it could conceivably work. This is mind-blowing.
Celestia is basically a pony goddess so luna has just as much magical ability maybe enough to alter her appearance and maybe even disguise her mark I play dnd a lot and sometimes gods like to throw random things at their subjects to teach them things "testing" them Luna troll'n every pony was actually a test to see how they would react to a big loud mouth and luna being behind most of the problems in Equestria would explain how celestria seems to know everything before it happens. And it fits her charactor She is the moon rising every night shadows and stuff like that seems to fit her personality.
