    1. Some spelling mistakes here and there (like using "insure" when "ensure" was the proper word), but overall it was an obvious D'aaaaaaawwwww fic that didn't disappoint.

Not sure if the shipping was necessary, but it didn't seem to do any harm to anything. Nice fun little story.

    2. [SPOILERS]

Very decent story. A tad risky to give Scoot her cutie mark, but why not I guess. You take a lot of liberties, but why not.

    4. Very good story. I was D'aaaaaawwwwing the entire time I read the fic. You choose the generation 3 Scootaloo for her cutie mark I see. 4 Stars

    6. This was adorable and a great read! I think this was an overall feel-good sort of fic that's simple and cute to read. We need more of those! 5 stars here, I hope you write more!

    9. It was a good read. Perfect relaxing night-story, especially for somepony who's getting ready to go off on her own too.

    10. At times I felt like the dialogue dragged on unnecessarily, as if it was just filler. Otherwise, a nice read and a touching story. 4*

    14. Thank you Jesus! Thank you so much for this fanfic! Everything was perfect, the writing, the story, the characters, Rainbow X Pinkie, EVERYTHING!

    15. The shipping sort of jumped out on me seemingly out of nowhere.
I didn't expect it, but it didn't hamper the quality of the story, so no worries.
Interesting, though. I never really liked Scootaloo, but looking at her with her relationship with Rainbow Dash (especially here) she's quite all right with me, haha.
Totally five-sies, it was certainly enjoyable.

    16. HHHHHHHHHHHNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGG MY HEART IS BREAKING FROM ALL OF THE DAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW

Five outta five. Loved it. Great characterization, loved your portrayal of Rainbow Dash's more maternal side.

    17. Wow, I'm actually a bit surprised with the amount of positive feedback. This story kind of stemmed off from the fact that Scoot's parents never appear in the first season, so I figured 'Heck, why not do this?'

There may be some side-stories going along with this one, maybe not (I'm thinking of doing a story on the Autumn Moon festival I briefly mentioned in the story), but we'll see. Working during the later hours of the day kind of throws my time for writing off a bit, then again, most of my ideas come to me in the middle of the night. Thanks to everyone who read this! I'll continue with the fics when I can!

    18. That was really really good and i shed a tear at the end there :( you got a talent and honestly if you were to write a long multiple part story i think people would REALLY enjoy with your kinda talent. 5 stars

    19. Good story there! I think bitter-sweet would be a good term for it. Suddenly, I'm thinking Bitter-Sweet would be a good name for a character...

    20. I actually cried. I haven't cried (reading) since 7th grade. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, thank you.

    21. Amazing tale. Very, very touching and I really mean that... Defenently one of the best fanfics i've ever read. 5*

    22. The last part nearly made me cry. This was the only fictional work that nearly made me cry because of something that didn't involved death.
I've read quite a few fics here, but none of them touched my soul like this one. My most sincere congratulations to the author.

Also, i listened to this during the ending, it really boosted the effect to me:

    23. I liked it. I usually prefer more canon-like stories and less shipping, but this was good none the less. 4*

    26. This is a story like one of a kind, that you can only approve and like... all the way.

(*whisper* I have to admit that I had a recoil of surprise, on THAT one word, when Pinky Pie mentioned the ''...brushes, clothes, X...'')

    27. It was nice, and I was really into it, but personally, I think the romance with Pinkie Pie was kinda out of nowhere. Seriously, the most buildup it gets was that we see a letter to Rainbow from Pinkie Pie and we're supposed to just sorta accept that they're an item already and have been for a while. Actually, not just an item, but already physically intimate with each other.

Not to disparage PinkieDash shippers, it's just that the entire element of their romance feels like it should have had it's own separate buildup, perhaps even it's own story/prequel, like it was just tacked on just so Scootaloo would call Pinkie Pie the equivalent of a dyke (filly-fooler, of course) and cause drama.

      Well it was heartwarming nonetheless.

    28. @Nova25

Condoms, well that came out of nowhere, made me LoL hard xD

      Pinkie you so naughty!

    29. @Sharkman

Actually, I like that it was handled offscreen. The romance isn't the focus of the story, after all, the family is. It was only really mentioned because of how much it affected Dash.

I really enjoyed this. Serious levels of D'awwww.

    30. Did anypony else hope for Scootaloo to call Rainbow Dash mom at the end?

      ReplyDelete
    31. Not bad. Not a big fan of Dash and Pinkie as a couple, and Pinkie saying "Condoms" made me a bit grossed out, but overall, good job

      ReplyDelete
    32. I started off going, "Agh, but Scoots isn't Rainbow Dash's sister!" but then you pulled that rug out from under me, and I am chastised. Baby Scootaloo is, like, the cutest thing ever. The idea that somepony trusted Rainbow Dash enough to babysit once frightens me, just a little.

Nooo, Scootaloo gets a tragic backstory! I am shedding manly tears here, poor Scoot. (At least now she can become the Batmare.)

I actually really like this familial setup. Making Rainbow Dash responsible (gasp!) for her is a great thing, somehow.

I love Pinkie as an authority on health food. That makes so much sense! Also, I love that you were able to fit PinkieDash into this without losing the main story at all.

You know, the structure of this, back and forth in time, flashbacks and dream sequences, could be really confusing, but somehow it isn't, and it works very well for telling this story.

ZECORA AND BIG MAC? My jaw, it is hanging open. That's a new one! ...This is the cutest PinkieDash scene ever. Though I agree with above about the condoms. Doesn't matter, I loved this. Such a rollercoaster of emotion, and a great story of the passing of time.

    33. That was adorable... I loved it.

    34. It started out okay but two things bugged me:

      1) Giving Scootaloo a cuite mark. This is almost definitely going to be covered in the show so it's best to stay away from it.

      2) Staight Dash is Best Dash.

    35. Some tears came and went while reading this, at multiple points.

    36. I'm a sucker for sad fics and/or Scootaloo, so this was a must read for me.

Gotta say, it was a very nice read with such a happy ending. The relationship between Rainbow and Scoot was adorable and easily relate-able to real life, which was something i enjoyed.
-Though the cutie mark thing was definitely a long shot, I found it fitting to the story.

But, there was one major thing that bugged me.
Why the shipping between pinkie and rainbow? That really shot me down when you kept with that ship. At first it seemed kinda cute with the letter, but... it got bad.

Overall, 4/5 (Keep that shipping down!)

    37. That was really cute!Though, a Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie story wasn't expected in it lol. gotta love Scoot though <3
