    1. Good crossover. I was smiling when "Saddie Pie" crushed Cupcakes Pinkie's windpipe. Fuck that psycho bitch and whatever perversions that spawned her.

    4. Just read through the first Silent Ponyville. With Silent Hill music on, nonetheless. And I'm just... I'm speechless... I came close to tears several times. I can't believe I didn't read this sooner. Jesus. This is one of the best fics I've ever read. So much psychological explanation, such great tie ins with other fics, and perfectly descriptive in every situation.

I applaud the author for the fantastic work. I want to keep praising this, but I need to read the other stories now =D

The one who rock here is you, Jake. And you rock really hard.
But, while reading the SP 2, chapter 4, to be precise, question appeared before me - where are both Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash? When they will be mentioned again?

      ReplyDelete
    8. Just read through Fluttershy's Silent Ponyville... Wow... This is... This is brilliant... O_O I'm speechless... I am kinda pissed that you've maimed and tortured Fluttershy, but that's just the fan-boy side of me lashing out. ^_^ Everything is just so descriptive, and you give enough infromation for the puzzles that you can stop reading and solve it before Fluttershy attempts the puzzle. All I hope is that when or if Twilight has a Silent Ponyville, all of the puzzles should be INCREDIBLY hard.

All in all, it deserves the 5/5 stars i gave Silent Ponyville 1 and I Met a God Today.

    9. @Ace2401 I think Jake said he has work today and tomorrow, though. :/

    10. I'm pretty sure trauma in the mind will carry over to the 'real' world, but can you imagine Twilight's reaction if it did? Especially after chapter 4!

Acually I wonder what happens if you die in your mind. Do you go into comotose? Do you just get ejected out of the spell no better off? Worse off? Or since this is going on only in their heads were Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie never in any danger? The way where you may fall off a cliff and die in your dreams, then wake up totally fine.

This warrents investigation! Quick, someone find an unrelatable, univeraly hated side charactor! I know theres one here somewhere!

    12. @Anonymous You've never seen "A Nightmare on Elm Street", have you?

The one giant plot hole in this story is how the 4th wall doesn't completely shatter, spilling out a thousand furious Fluttershy fans who immediately kick the living shit out of Slender Mane xD

    14. @Anonymous Also, in one of the 'bad endings' to part one, it explains what would have happened if Pinkie had died, so there's your answer

    15. That was very entertaining, I just hope I don't get handed a number if I ever get invited to a party hosted by Pinkie Pie

      ReplyDelete
    16. @elyk0956
You already gotten the number...as all of us did.*grim smile*

      ReplyDelete
    17. Well... Silent Ponyville 2 is disappointing. And it's obvious why, too. Letting Fluttershy's friends come with her took out the feeling of being alone. So instead of grimdark, it's just adventure. I also noticed that the excess of the word "carefully" in the first one has been replaced in this one with the excess of the word "gently". And lastly, many of the sentences don't mix well, like it's wavering between Silent Hill and a CSI investigation. You can't feel suspense or the pain in this one. You can tell Fluttershy's past wasn't as well thought out as Pinkie's.

Though, to be honest, this was a little expected =P
I'm sure you probably drained all of your creative juices on the first one. Following up a masterpiece like that is hard.

      ReplyDelete
    18. Okay, so I guess to be fair I have only read 2 chapters of Fluttershy's. But I'm... having a hard time continuing.

      ReplyDelete
    19. @Kujiiro
Heh, I was just about to address your comment with the simple reply of "someone hasn't read chapters three and four yet." It gets way better, trust me.

That being said, chapter four did have a lot of grammar/word errors, it seemed (hear instead of her, their/they're/there, lead the metal vs. led the past tense verb). A little nitpicky, perhaps, but it was a little distracting from what is otherwise shaping up to be an awesome story.

      ReplyDelete
    20. @Jordan

I'm sure chapter 4 might be better, but if three chapters in I'm still not hooked I'm sure you can agree it is a bit disheartening.

But maybe it's just Fluttershy. Or maybe I'm just more familiar with Pinkie's way of thinking. Or something. I'd like to figure out a reason why it's me specifically who can't seem to enjoy this story, since others seem to like it...

      Yeesh, look at me ramble.

      ReplyDelete
    21. @Kujiiro

Not everyone is going to enjoy every story I write. I put love and care into every story I write, and yea some error will slip through grammatically or words wise (I've caught the word 'hands' more times than I'd like to count) but that's forgivable and an easy fix. But if you're not a fan of the plot, I'm not offended at all =3

In fact it's still an honor you tried out my fic to see if you liked it or not. I'm doing my very best to capture the Silent Hill 2 feel (which Silent Hill 2 had companions in it, I very rarely felt actually 'alone' in it and its the inspiration for Story 2) but of course I never -ever- intended for Fluttershy to go through the story in a group, that'd just be silly ^_^

But if you do ever find what bothers you, please let me know! I love hearing what my fans think, both the ones who love it and the ones who don't. I mostly likely won't go back and make major revisions as I love what I've written, but I'll ALWAYS keep it in mind for future stories I write!

      ReplyDelete

Wait, so this world uses Nightmare on Elm Street rules?

The "Thousand Fluttershy fans to the rescue" Alternate ending would be hilariouse. Try the mental imagery of computer nerds, football players, Steven Colbert, and cosplayers all charging out of a rip in space weilding keyboards, footballs, revolvers and wolverine claws.

      No offense taken at all.

The 'there' grammar is one I personally struggle with still, and I would always hope my pre-readers would help me catch them, but I'm working on improving my personal grammar as best I can. Sorry that it bugs you, I promise I'll do my very best to correct it better in the future.

      ReplyDelete
    34. Right, totally meant to ask this in the first comment; are there going to be multiple endings? Because I'd love to read a 'fake' ending where they all come out of it alive, but end up in the wrong bodies. xD

Btw I meant to mention this earlier:

I'm honored my story moved you so much. And I'm listening to that song on loop now, it's inspiring me to write Chapter 6 of Silent Ponyville 2 X3

      ReplyDelete
    38. @Josh

I'll probably do a SP3 down the road, but I have another fic lined up after 2 that I'm going to have the most fun ever writing. So look forward to that :3

      ReplyDelete
    39. Okay, cool. If you do do a SP3, i'd love to see something with Applejack, but i'd also just love to see a 3rd one period.

      ReplyDelete
    40. @Jake Heritagu
Its such a fine ending, I cant listen to that song though without thinking of the last bit of the Truth now, still tearing up.

      ReplyDelete
    41. I'm sure by now Twilight is going to start having nightmares. She's practically experiencing these too, just has no idea what she's looking at right now... At least, until they start becoming clearer. In her nightmares. :O

      But yeah, poor Fluttershy.

      -From part 3, on DA, : http://jake-heritagu.deviantart.com/art/Silent-Ponyville-2-Chapter-3-247929062
      ~Nova225 5 days ago
Is the answer : A mirror ? (It could also be ''Eye(s)'', but it seems too obvious)
-I knew it ;) ! The answer was ''Eye(s)''. (I believe I found it first, right ? For that one at least. Just saying.)

... What does ''ER'' (in hospitals) stands for ? Emergency Room ? ...

      >loud crack was heard as the bone in her wing snapped.
-Oh now... again with the damned wings ! This trend is growing seriously old...

      Ponyville 2 Part 5 :

      >She’d managed to snap it back correctly.
-She ''snapped back''... a broken bone... really ?
I'm no doctor, but I seriously doubt that it's something to do when your bone is *BROKEN*.
Maybe if you have a dislocated shoulder/bone, but here it said ''broken bone'', not ''dislocated''.

      >There was a dirt road before her >just outside of Ponyville
-Wait, wait... Wasn't she in the Hospital a minute ago ? An hospital in Cloudsdale... in the SKY ?
In CH.4, it also says :
      >It was moving up, it was taking her away from the hospital.
-It's moving UP... from the hospital, so toward the roof logically... still in Cloudsdale.
How did she ended DOWN, on the ground, near Ponyville, after going Up in Cloudsdale...

There's clearly some confusion going on there. (to be logic, the platform should have been going down. That would prevent a LOT of confusion.)

      ReplyDelete
    43. @Nova25

You also don't put a cast around a misshapen bone, it won't heal properly if its in the wrong position. Even if Fluttershy is doing it wrong, she knows enough to put it into proper position before wrapping. She HOPES it'll still be useable, she's not sure at all.

Also, about your comments on being in Cloudsdale and moving up into the air:

You clearly haven't been following the stories very well or know Silent Hill very well. They have a tendency to f*ck with your mind. There's no confusion to be had. She went up a ladder, went to the Cloudsdale hospital, got on a platform and went up, and arrived in Ponyville.

Everything happened exactly as it was supposed to :3

      ReplyDelete
    44. @Jake Heritagu

Isn't Silent Hill great? I love that reversal of how that happened with James.

      ReplyDelete
    45. @Jake Heritagu
Well, in Silent Hill when you enter or exit a door, it usually follows the logic of how a building work.

Narrow tunels isolating you and making it impossible to know where you are going... yes, *that* confuse/desorientate the character and kinda explain how he/she can then be somewhere else completely.

But here, the platform is going *UP*, and she ends up *DOWN*.
It would make more sense to have it go *DOWN*... with still no way of knowing where *DOWN* is gonna be, it seems better, and she would still end somewhere else.
(''somewhere'' being, for Silent Hill, not where she thought the platform would have normally took her *DOWN*, which would have been below Cloudsdale.)

Silent Hill follow a confusing and tortuous, but still linear logic. Like an orderly chaos.

      Just saying.

      ReplyDelete
    46. @Jake Heritagu&@Ace2401

      Oh wait, I almost forgot.

      Jake, YOU MONSTER!

      ReplyDelete
    47. @Nova25

You clearly haven't played Silent Hill 2, where there is literally 5 sections back to back to back to back has James jumping down bottomless pits, never going back UP anywhere to make logical sense as to how at the end of jumping down the bottomless pits, ends back in Silent Hill.

He literally must've fallen a half a mile, never went back up a half a mile, and was still in Silent Hill.

Fluttershy's constantly going up, and ending up in Ponyville is inspired by these events.

      ReplyDelete
    48. Okay, just a quick thing, why are you arguing with Jake? Its his story. Not to mention that in the Silent Hill way of things it will screw with you, you can go into a building, and turn around step outside, turn back around and be facing a wall, emptiness, or the same room except destroyed. Its all a mind game in Silent Hill

      ReplyDelete
    49. @Jake Heritagu&@Nova25

I say he was a least a mile underground by the end of it. In any case, just walking back out to Silent Hill after that descent is one of the most subtle but amazing moments in gaming.

      ReplyDelete
    50. @Klaus

Don't forget that you can also enter a door and be teleported somewhere else entirely, even to different floors in a building. Basically, Silent Hill (and by extension Silent Ponyville) does whatever the frick it wants.

      ReplyDelete
    51. @Ace2401
Exactly, if it wanted to it could attack you with an army of cheese wheels that will roll after you with switchblades and bike chains wearing leather jackets. Now I doubt that would ever happen, unless who ever was there really had that kind of an unusual fear, but it could if it wanted.

      ReplyDelete
    52. Oh, You glorious cocktease, you. :D Now I know shit is about to hit the fan.

    53. Just finished the first series. Fricking heavy sh*t right there. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll be watching some FiM episodes to wash away the scarring in my mind. xD

    54. @Apostle of Hatsune

You should start reading Silent Ponyville 2. It's even better!

      Jake, YOU MONSTER!

      ReplyDelete
    55. @Ace2401

I dunno if I think it's better, but that's personal preference since I like Pinkie better than Fluttershy and don't care for shipping. That and I dunno if 'The Truth' can be matched...the entire events that surround what happened to Pinkie and Bellamina is soul crushingly sad for me. 2 is great though, and that spin-off Blood Chronicles is pretty enjoyable.

      ReplyDelete
    56. @Josh

Well, Fluttershy and Dash are top two favorites by miles, so I basically spend the whole time I'm reading the fic crying, lol. I'm usually not terribly found of shipping either, but SP2 made me declare FlutterDash as my OTP. So, I'm enjoying SP2 much more than SP1. And I loved SP1. I love SP2 so much than when chapter 4 came out while I was re-reading Past Sins after its big update, I dropped that to read SP2. For me at least, SP2 is the best, most emotionally compelling story in the entire fandom.

      Jake, YOU MONSTER!

      ReplyDelete
    57. Opposite for me, I was midway reading chapter 5 of SP2 when Past Sins updated, I dropped it to read that, then came back.

      ReplyDelete
    58. @Josh

:O How dare you abandon Fluttershy!

jk, lol. I was talking about that huge update with the revised version of the story, though.

      ReplyDelete
    59. I like both Silent Ponyville's equally personally. It's much the same way I feel about the Silent Hill games. Silent Hill 1 was scarier than 2 but was still a great game. Silent Hill 2 wasn't as scary but really hit that nice psychological spot better.

Each game had aspects I liked better than the other, and that's exactly the same way I feel about the Silent Ponyville series X3

My fans are more than welcome to enjoy 1 or 2 better than the other, but they're all special to me haha~

      ReplyDelete
    60. @Klaus
Last time I checked a dictionnary, ''this'' felt into the definition of a : *Conversation* :
      a) oral exchange of sentiments, observations, opinions, or ideas.
      b) an informal discussion of an issue by representatives of governments, institutions, or groups.

      ReplyDelete
    61. @Jake Heritagu

Well, you wrote them, so you can say that, but I will fight anyone else over how much better SP2 is compared to SP1. Really though, the reason I love it so much is because of how much more I love Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash over everypony else. They're both amazing, but I'm just much more emotionally invested in SP2. I don't think SP1 made me cry at all, but every second I spend reading SP2 my eyes are all watery. It makes me want to cry just thinking about poor Fluttershy. T_T

      Jake, YOU MONSTER!

It's kind of a running joke between him and I (and a couple of other people) since he's pulling on my heartstrings tons with this story. I swear I'm gonna get a sad tag added just for that scene with Rainbow Dash.

      Jake, YOU #*%$ING MONSTER!

      ReplyDelete
    70. As if a sad tag wasn't already ****ing needed long before that scene...

But seriously, it kinda does need a sad tag.

    71. Both stories are awesome. I haven't played silent hill but these are great.
On another note. Is it bad that I don't find it that sad when one of the mane 6 dies. I'm just all like "aw man that sucks." and moves on. But I do cry when an animal like a dog cries or something like that. I don't know maybe I have played to many m games and watched to many R rated movies. I'm only 14 too. Anyways keep up the good work and make fluttershy break the fourth wall in an ending. Also

Well, you said Pinkie was your favorite, right? Well, Fluttershy is my favorite, followed closely but Dash. Plus, Jake pulled something in today's chapter that if it were any other fic, I would hate it, but in this fic, it just makes me extremely sad. D:

      ReplyDelete
    76. Nah, Applejack is my favorite, Pinkie is second though. But when you take a child, mutilate her in the slowest and most painful way possible, then force the character who places the blame on herself (with legitimate reason >_>) and put her in hell to come to terms with her sister's ****ed up death when she's one of my favorites and is always so optimistic...yeah, not super fun time had by all.

      ReplyDelete
    77. @Streek471

Yes, but you also didn't know what her trauma was till the final chapter of Silent Ponyville. It was just a horrific trip through town until you got there, and that's when all the emotions and reality of the symbolism of the world came crashing down.

Fluttershy's trauma is going to be revealed next chapter. Then you'll be able to look back and see all the symbolism and trauma that occurred to Fluttershy through the world in the same light.

Will it have the same emotional impact? You'll have to wait and see X3

      ReplyDelete
    78. We'll see. I will say this, it'll be hard to top what you did to Bellamina for me. A child's death has MUCH more impact on me than a lot of other things.

    79. @Jake Heritagu

Right now, I'm actually more concerned about what you did to poor Rainbow Dash, with poor Fluttershy caught in the crossfire, so to speak. I mean seriously, that was a dick move. Please respond to my inane ramblings on DA! You crushed my soul! AUGH!

But the Wonderbolts and the loyalty and Fluttershy and AUGH!!!! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO PULL THAT CARD!!! IN SILENT PONYVILLE'S OTHERWORLD NO LESS!!!! YOU'RE TOO CRUEL!!!!

      *incoherent mumbling followed by sobbing*

I guess you already figured out what I was talking about when I said you committed the cardinal sin (as far as I'm concerned) of MLP:FiM fanfiction?

You could at least respond to the one that says you need to write the story of what happened to Rainbow Dash (and Pinkie Pie too I guess). Or just respond here. That's cool too.

      Jake, YOU #*%$ING MONSTER!

P.S That little signature of mine isn't getting annoying, is it? I would totally stop if you told me to. Ninja-Brad is also kinda mad it seems about me stealing it from him. I also might've had Trollestia send him to the moon for me over it XD

      ReplyDelete
    84. @Ace2401

lol, I assume you mean the 'having to choose between your friends and your dreams' card? Well that was always going to be a factor in the story haha.

As for writing about what happened to Pinkie and Dash, I don't have any plans to write out what happened to them. Much like the other characters in Silent Hill 2, what happened to them is meant to be purposely ambiguous for the reader to think about on their own.

Also no, your signature isn't annoying, I find it hilarious and Brad is just hassling you XD

      ReplyDelete
    85. @Jake Heritagu

Yeah, I know, silly Brad XD Now, on to our regularly scheduled whining...

YOU MUST WRITE IN THE GAPS OF THE STORY! YOU. DO. NOT!!!! PULL THAT CARD ON ME AND GET AWAY SCOT FREE!!! YOU MUST PAY FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!!!! THE ANALOGY TO THE SIDE CHARACTERS FROM SH2 DOESN'T WORK WHEN THE READERS ARE DEEPLY EMOTIONALLY INVESTED IN WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE CHARACTERS!!!! MAKE PLANS TO WRITE ABOUT THEM!! YOU MAKE ME FEEL LIKE I MUST SHOUT OVER THE INTERNET!! AUGH!!!

      JAKE YOU *&@$#^%ED #*%$ING MONSTER!!!!

*ahem* Also, did you see that suggestion for a joke ending on Ch6's DA page? That would be awesome. With me leading the charge of course.

      ReplyDelete
    86. I'd like a bit of what Pinkie's experience was like, other than running into Cupcake Pinkie again, but i'm fine with it as is now, so long as there's a happy ending for her. I didn't un-depress myself with that fan-fanfic only for you to do it to me again.

      ReplyDelete
    87. Hurray for the Evil Pinkie cameo, even if she was just a corpse on the floor. Hurray for the touching scene in which Fluttershy told Dash to be strong - in her very own words. Keep up the good work.

Finally we know, at least partially, what happened after Flutteshy’s disappreance. Dash played indeed the blame game and they split up afterward. In hindsight, this was a pretty bad idea and only makes it easier for Silent Ponyville to torture them

Now Dash, who probably had a normal childhood, thinks that she’s disloyal, leaving others behind and will abandon the mane six, too. Even Pinkie who already faced the horrors of Ponyville isn’t immune. Judging by her talk with Fluttershy she seems to blame herself for everything that happened. And that she lost Fluttershy again only makes it worse. Silent Ponyville is pretty good at breaking ponies.

If you aren’t sick and tired of Silent Hill stories after this one, I would love the read a story about RD, even if it’s just a one-shot or a two chapter side story. She’s in an entirely different situation than Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Unlike those two she didn’t end up in the town because of some childhood trauma cause by another person. No serial killer, no abusive (?) father. She only wanted to help her mare friend and is now facing her own doubts.

No pressure, however. I don’t want to give you the feeling that you MUST write another story. If you WANT to write one it’s great but don’t force yourself into anything. Nothing good can come out of it.

      ReplyDelete
    88. Flutterbuse followed by flutterbandonment? Jake, you're a bad person and you should feel bad.

Keep bein' a monster, dude, you're awesome at it.

I have to say I'm glad you don't try to prolong these things for like, a vigintillion chapters. Between five and ten seems the perfect length for this kind of fic, not counting the multiple endings, of course. Those are a major draw for me... I wish all fanfics had multiple endings. Even though it wouldn't make a lick of sense for most fanfics. :(

*starts chewing on lip and F5'ing for ending(s)*

      ReplyDelete
    96. Cupcakes Pinkie was killed three times? Either Pinkie Pie is a badass fighter or Cupcakes Pinkie’s plan was to torture her with an endless number of repetitive boss battles.

The puzzle is complete and everything makes sense: the nurse monster, the fear of dragons, and Fluttershy’s knowledge of sewing as well as may other things. One thing bugs me, however. It made sense to draw a connection between Flutterrage from the Gala and her traumatic childhood. But it doesn’t work for me. The situation with her mother was different, so it felt more like an attempt to squeeze the famous “You’re going to love me!” into the story.

In my eyes Fluttershy’s dad is worse than the serial killer. The colt just killed and ate his victims, while Fluttershy’s dad made it his new purpose in live to turn his own daughter into an emotionally wreck. Even if it turns out that he’s dying of cancer and regrets everything, I would have troubles to forgive him.

Unfortunately it seems there will be no real happy ending. Eventually the poor Rainbow Dash has to make a “your dream vs. your friends” choice and can only lose. Alternatively Flutterhsy breaks up with Rainbow Dash after the realization that she only became a fillyfooler because of her abusive father.

However the last option seems quiet unlikely. It’s not like that she can change her sexuality overnight. Otherwise people, who don’t want to be gay, would just stop instead of wasting money for those so-called conversion therapies. Future more she and RD are in a healthy, lovely relationship. There’s no reason to ruin that just because she may have been straight once.

      ReplyDelete
    97. I can't believe I figured it out listening to Room Of Angel. Even if it does fit part 7 more than any other.

      ReplyDelete
    98. I don't think that Fluttershy is going to break up with Rainbow Dash. In the end, Fluttershy thanks her father for the abuse, because thanks to it she was able to move to Ponyville and have the wonderful life she now has, so i suppose that she will only see her becoming a fillyfooler and falling in love with Rainbow Dash as another 'gift'.

      ReplyDelete
    99. Oh god, why must you make an already creepy canonical psychological breakdown even creepier? XD

      "YOU'RE GOING TO LOVE ME"

    100. While I think the pacing was a little bunched at the end (most of the heavy hitting memories in the last chapters, so it's less even), I admire the phychological thriller you have painted once again, successfully throwing me for foreshadowed loops all the way until the end.

Such a beautiful monster you have created.

Oh, please make Seth post the Google Docs endings. For both stories. Because Pinkie Pie.

That's actually how Silent Hill works, so to do it any differently would be to stray from the qualities that make this something special. Bits and pieces until the very end, which is when all the bombshells that the story has been vaguely hinting at are revealed. It really is much more powerful this way.

That's exactly why the end of Ch6 tears at me so much. I can't stand to see Rainbow Dash have to make that choice, and her relationship with Fluttershy makes the whole thing that much worse.

    106. Ponyville 2 Part 6 :

      Huhhh... I've got nothing ?

Well... Fluttershy was probably beaten by her father, because of some weird reasons, like he 'somewhat' feels it's her fault that his wife died, or something.

      It's a somewhat old-classic formula.

      -----

      Ponyville 2 Part 7 :

      >"Strike me! Love me! You're going to LOVE ME!"
-Heh... I kinda suppose that this phrase was the motivation behind Fluttershy's story ?

      >Her father picked up her mother's head in his hoof as he began to cry.
      >"I…I killed my mother…" Fluttershy whimpered
-(sigh) I guess this is what justify 'that' ? And the thing with her father too ?

Still... even if filly-Fluttershy was kinda conditionned to obey her parents, I have trouble believing that a child(foal) would have the ''strength'' necessary (both physical and morale) to do 'that' multiple times...

Normally, the guilt and terror alone, from what's occuring, are enough to make a child(foal) run away after the first hit, run away under their bed, anywhere that is far away from whatever 'horror' they just faced... somewhere where they would be safe.

      >Without warning he pushed her head down under the water.
-Well that was quick ? Already trying to kill her daugther... or maybe it's one of those murder-suicide thing...

      >"…No…no just killing you would be too easy." >"You need to understand the misery you've caused with your love."
-And, apparently his sanity just went coo-coo and straight to hell ?

Also... he was the doctor of his own wife, right ? Huhhh... didn't he note anything about the dengerously slipping sanity of his OWN wife, at any moment at all ?

He may not be a psychologue, but doctors normally have at least a little bit of experience/knowledge, when it comes to caring for or seeing the 'big lines' of the mental state of their patient, no ?

      >Fluttershy cried louder than she ever had before as her father snapped her wing.
-Ooookk... Stepping from 'lost sanity' to 'potential psychopatic killer'... when ?

      >He said before tossing his daughter across the room, her landing hard against the floor.
-You know... after what is probably multiple broken bones/members, enormous amount of contusions and bruises, various cuts and wounds... over the course of weeks and maybe years... it would take one HECK of a blind town NOT to pick up on, at the very least, some of those hints ?

      >It was cold. Rainbow Dash was dead, killed by the creature before her.
-*stern raised eyebrow* An illusion from Silenthill, isn't it ? Right ? Funny...

      >"It's okay Dash, this place does weird things to a Pony."
-It would appear so... A bit more than what I remembered from the first 3 games it would seem...

      -----

      ...tomorrow, the Endings I suppose...

      -----

      End 2 :

      >"Everything is over now. I may not have been strong enough to face my troubles before, but I have my friends by my side now."
-A ''all allies VS bad guy'' end fight ?
      This holds some interests.

      >"What am I doing over THERE when I'm HERE!?" Pinkie Pie cried out pointing to Rainbow Dash.
-Meh... I guess it's supposed to be the 'silly ending'; with those 3 being in the body of the other, right ?

      >I don't know how I messed up on the spell this badly but I'm sure I can fix it!
-Well... there's a few stories were she comes up with/find a body/personality swapping spell... She will surely find something.

... I guess the 'Silly Ending' isn't that bad ...

      -----

      End 3 :

      >"I think…it's best if…we stopped dating…"
      >Rainbow replied, "I don't think we're right for each other…and I'm certainly not deserving of love."
-Ending where RD gets all 'emo' or something and abandon Fluttershy for bad reasons...

      Meh...

      'Silly Ending' was more satisfactory.

Also, the 'Real' ending for the story will be soon, right ?

So far I'm loving your story more and more. the detail to the environments and creatures is outstanding and you're use of how each pony (Pinkie and Fluttershy) analyzed their memories, the puzzles, and each emotional situation has brought me many manly tears of happiness. Though you hurt Fluttershy (sorry fanboy side ^^;) I still give a million stars out of five.

-The bathroom has a window ? Quick, fly through it !

      >"Oh, what do I do? I can't just lift her out of the water! I don't know if I have the strength."
-Huhhhh... Me think she could at least lift her on the side of the bathtub, most probably ?

      >Thank goodness that bunny came straight to the clinic
-Thank goodness they all know sign language ;) (I wonder if ''Rabbit'' is an official language in their world ?)

      >He said that I needed to feel the misery I caused, so he abused me throughout my foalhood as a punishment
-*Narrator* ''And thus, the day after, 10 angry SWAT-Pegasi swarmed the Doctor's office in Cloudsdale with an arrest warrant. 1 Month later, he was sentenced to prison for life... On The Moon! -The End.''

      >Even if you can't forgive my parents, I thank them for what they did.
-I don't quite think that she should ''thank'' them(parents), but rather be ''glad'' that it got them(RD-Fluttershy) together. Little detail, I know.

      >Just because you learned an awful truth about your life doesn't mean it's not worth living anymore!
-Rainbow Dash has a point there, a good point.

      >Rainbow Dash even put off her dream of joining the Wonderbolts indefinitely to stay in Ponyville with Fluttershy.
-...I will never really understand why those things must ALWAYS be 100% mutualy-exclusive(incompatible together) in stories...

Anyway... I guess she can build some reputation in Ponyville(and its surroundings) and create something like a *training club* for junior and professional flyers. This would combine ''helping young and weak flyers'' (Like Scootaloo, plus bonus points with Fluttershy) and maybe even, with a good work from Twilight-to-Celestia, that some Wonderbolts would go there to learn some of RD's tricks (Sonic Rainboom, for professionals-only ?).

... With the lenght this has (and, well, rather 'well written' too), it could as well be the Official Ending, or at least of Official Alternative-Ending ...

      ReplyDelete
    120. @Nova25

      >-The bathroom has a window ? Quick, fly through it !
Yes, the bathroom does have a window, but flying through windows has not been proven to work in the show, but flying through doors has. Silly, I know, but I did do some research to back that scene up.

      >-Huhhhh... Me think she could at least lift her on the side of the bathtub, most probably ?
The idea was that Rainbow Dash had a lot taken out of her from the trip to Silent Ponyville, and she did need to get her all the way out to do CPR on her, which was what saved Fluttershy's life, or at least kept her alive till the doctors got there.

      >-Thank goodness they all know sign language ;) (I wonder if ''Rabbit'' is an official language in their world ?)
Yes, thank goodness;) Though it would follow that someone at the health clinic would recognize Angel if he tagged along with Fluttershy to get medical supplies.

      >Just because you learned an awful truth about your life doesn't mean it's not worth living anymore!
      >-Rainbow Dash has a point there, a good point.
      That's what I thought too :D

      >-...I will never really understand why those things must ALWAYS be 100% mutualy-exclusive(incompatible together) in stories...
I actually 110% agree with you there, and am glad you noticed that. I hated to have to write that sentence. Rainbow Dash can't join the Wonderbolts in this ending however, as it's not the "best" ending. I'm still going to revise that somehow, though.

Thanks for the feedback, and thank you for saying it was well written. That is only the second thing I've written,so I appreciate any boost to my confidence. :)

Oh, and Jake did declare this an official alternative ending, hence why I included an unlock description and that little piece where Fluttershy finds that picture while she's in Silent Ponyville still.

    127. End 6 : (The REAL ending)

      >Unlock condition: View all the memories and encounter Pinkie and Rainbow Dash in the Otherworld.
-So... This is the 'Real' Ending, finally ?

      >"So…why are we going to Cloudsdale?" Rainbow Dash asked
-*Cross my fingers...hooves?* Arrest Warrant, Arrest Warrant.

      >a soft sigh and smiling, "I'm going to see my father."
-(sigh)... Well, there's still the Alternative Ending for that, I guess...

      >"…What are YOU doing here?" The nurse almost hissed.
-What... did the Doctor also ''trained/asked'' other ponies to hate-wound Fluttershy too ? ...where's that Arrest Warrant again ?

      >Try to interfere with his life-saving work because of some bitter vengeance you want."
-I bet if she knew the ''whole'' truth, that she would wet her metaphorical ''pants'' in shock and shame...

      >"…Are you trying to seek redemption now?"
-I believe it's the father that should seek it, but again... he's in almost complete denial of the horror HE did... on MANY years.

      >"…What? Really? You're not going to smear his name?" The nurse said surprised.
-Can a pony in the assistance buck her in the face with steel shoes ? Thank you.
Also... did this nurse knew -everything- ? That would mean that she's an accomplice by keeping secret this crime... (We will need a second Arrest Warrant)

      >if I hadn't listened to her, then she'd still be alive today.
-Huhhh... She just said, not even 5seconds ago, that her mother would have died ANYWAY eventually ?

      >After all…you don't argue with the best doctor in all of Cloudsdale
-Yeah, it's not like he was partially insane or... oh wait, he was.

      >I deserved everything that happened to me.
-This is a seriously debatable statement, if I ever seen one...

      >You could never hurt a fly unless you were given no other choice, no other option!
-Yes, listen to the voice of reason... or at least the only pony around here who's not currently coo-coo crazy ?

      >"About…your dream to be a Wonderbolt."
-Let me guess... Pure-100% or Pure-0%, with no form of compromise whatsoever in the middle, right ?

      >Rainbow Dash blinked.
-*Falls of my chair in flabbergasted surprise*
A choice that is NOT in the Ultimate-extremes of possibilities ?! It's possible ? ...well, that's new.

      >"B-But…what…I…I can't' give you a child!"
-Weeeeeeeell... That's not entirely true, really... Following a magical and/or scientific approach, or a mix of both, there's nothing preventing this.
But, I suppose that it might be an expensive or long procedure... yet, considering that it's in Equestria, devellopments in this domain of research must be rather high, you know ?

I guess adoption works too... But the Magico-scientific approach would make things more personal between them.

... Even though Fluttershy's desire for a foal seems rather 'sudden', at the end of the story, we can guess that it's not gonna happen until a few years, most probably ...

... Well, Silent Ponyville 2 ended in a better way than what I was expecting (though no arrest warrants... lazy justice system), it's a good thing really ...

      -----

      End 7 :

      ... Throwing a pokeball with a pyramidhead inside : It's from *Linkara*, right ? ...

      >The dark creature seemed to open its eyes wide in shock as it watched the horrendous creature dance before it.
-Pretty sure I would also be ''in shock'', seeing anything dance on that music. ;)

      >"Oh, something that'll make the fans VERY happy!"
      >Brad sat atop a huge cannon that somehow he had managed to fit into the hallway.
-Well... I would have gone for the Big SWAT Team, and the banishment To The Moon (but mostly the SWAT team)... but I guess a cannon does the job too.

    128. I know why the story ended the way it did, and I think that Fluttershy's forgiveness was the worst thing she could do to her father and the nurse (for some people, sincerely telling them, "I forgive you" will hurt worse then if you break every bone in their bodies) -- and it's only made "worse" for her dad and the nurse because Fluttershy meant every word of it. Fluttershy loves the world and everything and everyone in it. I don't think she KNOWS how to hate.

But even so, given all that... yeah. Her dad and the nurse deserved some jail time for what they did. But I'll settle with the idea that he broke down after Fluttershy left his office and confessed everything and did his time.

And to the author, I love your story sir, even if poor Fluttershy went through hell in it.

    137. I did not like the Fluttershy story. It was like the first story but with extras that could have been removed with minimal plot changes.
What I especially did not like was the return of evil Pinkie and how it got resolved with Fluttershy. In my mind, that scene completely undermined the victory over evil Pinkie in the first story. In fact that scene alone makes what other complaints I have for the story trivial, and so those complaints will not be in this comment.

No but seriously, that's perfectly alright XD. I don't expect everyone to love my story, thought I do love the praise it is getting, so it is nice to see a bit of contrast along with the praise ^_^

And I'll completely forgive you for not understanding that part of the symbolism of Cupcakes Pinkie Pie is Pinkie's inner torment about her killing other ponies, especially the ones she cares about. (PS. Which is why she appeared, because she believed she had killed her friends by letting them get brought to Silent Ponyville :3)

Personally, I really wonder if the 3rd Story will have Twilight mentioning the *Apocalyptic-Nightmarish Nightmare of DOOM*, that 3/6 of the Bearers were victims of, to Celestia ...?

That would be a logical thing to do from her part.

    145. @Nova25

All through her childhood she was forced to believe that she entirely was at fault for her mother's death, and that she constantly had to be severely punished for this. Silent Hill (and in extension Silent Ponyville) brings out and strengthens harsh emotions. The already depressed Angela becomes even more depressed and goes off to die.

James (the protagonist), in one ending, decides to kill himself after he killed his wife.

    146. "Are you done ruining my story?"

Have I told you yet that I absolutely adore that you write multiple endings? These are bucking brilliant. In the (I'm assuming) canon ending, when Rainbow mentioned maybe asking Twilight about a pregnancy spell, I couldn't help but imagine Rainbow busting into the library and yelling "TWILIGHT, I NEED YOU TO GET FLUTTERSHY PREGNANT!", no further explanation. I lol'd heartily.

      ReplyDelete
    148. @Ace2401
It was fantastic. Reading your haphazard comments, I didn't know you could actually write well, lol (seriously no offense meant). I didn't realize ending 4+ was written by you and not Jake until after I'd finished reading it, and I think you'll agree that that's a great compliment. :D

      ReplyDelete
    149. @Cedric Bale

XD None taken! I don't blame you, lol. I obviously love the crap out of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, so Silent Ponyville 2 made me... excitable, to say the least. And yes, that's the best compliment I've heard so far :D

Wasn't it funny how similarly Jake and I wrote our respective conversations between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash? I seriously felt deja vu reading ending 6 the day after posting ending 4+, lol. I guess that just goes to show that the FlutterDash dynamic is pretty solid.

      ReplyDelete
    150. @Ace2401

Have to say, though... I prefer Jake's resolution for Rainbow Dash's whole Wonderbolt issue. But considering you wrote an addendum for a bad ending, I like that it still didn't end super-happy for everypony involved.

      ReplyDelete
    151. @Cedric Bale

I 110% agree with you there. If I had did what I really wanted to do, Rainbow Dash would be a Wonderbolt SO HARD. I HATE IT when Dash is prevented from joining the Wonderbolts in fanfics.

But that would have taken away from the piece as whole, so I managed to justify it to myself a little by reasoning that Fluttershy was left somewhat emotionally unstable from her experience. After that, she really did need Dash to stay and be her emotional anchor.

Which brings up another question: did you read my ending post edit? I added a paragraph at the end to explain that more.

      ReplyDelete
    152. Ending 5 is canon. I don't care about the others, the conon ending is Enging 5 with elements of the cannon ending in the background. :3

    154. Such despair and sadness in Game Over...

A confusing and unexpected predicament in Something's Not Right Here...

Followed by a bittersweet conclusion in That's Just How It Is...

Significantly bitter in Was It Inevitable?...

Subverted by an equally excellent Was It Inevitable?+

And a substantially confusing and demented conclusion with UFO...

Not to mention the blatancy of the face-melting self-insertion apocalypse brought about by And That's When The Meteor Hit...

    155. @Ace2401 (Woah, I messed up my spelling in that last comment)

You're welcome. 4 and 4+ were the most emotional out of the lot of them and, while 6 was the most complete, the sudden "I want a child" bit at the end put me off a little. I suppose it depends on what people like to read though.

(And Jake, YOU were supposed to be the monster, not Fluttershy! XD)

      ReplyDelete
    156. @Jake Heritagu
Okay I admit I missed that. Still, that reasoning sounds like the sort of reasoning done to put Pyramid Head in Silent Hill Homecoming. As for "inner torment", I don't agree with that kind of symbolism. Perhaps I would have been more accepting of it if there was better hinting that evil Pinkie couldn't be completely defeated in the first place. Like maybe in the first story. You know, instead of implying that she was completely removed from Pinkie's psyche for good.
Of course, I still say that Pinkie could be removed and improve the story that way.

      ReplyDelete
    157. @Ace2401

    160. Read the whole thing in two days. That was amazingly executed.

The first one left me a bit disappointed at first, cause Pinkie was being such a generic character, then I reasoned, well that's what happens when you take her main defining characteristic away, so hey it made sense.
Plus the story was compelling, the atmosphere riveting, and the story really did feel like a game, and a good game at that.
The plot was an excellent take on Cupcakes, and the endings were all very thought-out (except...you know... the UFO one LOL XD).

Then came the 2nd story, and I was expecting a team effort among the three... and instead I received a Fluttershy-only adventure.
      everythingwentbetterthanexpected.jpg
The story was absurdly well done, and Fluttershy herself... I can say I've never read a better executed Fluttershy than this, it seems just so hard to pin down for some. But this one, it just fit. And it was glorious, believe me. Manly tears were shed, especially at the endings. Man do you write FlutterDash well :')

Ace, your ending was very sweet (if partly bitter still, but that's a good thing for an alternate ending, isn't it?), and Ninja, I LOL'd at yours XD

Definitely a brilliant job, Cogwork. I will be definitely awaiting expectedly your next releases, whatever they might be. ^^

    162. >In my eyes Fluttershy’s dad is worse than the >serial killer. Even if it turns out that he’s >dying of cancer and regrets everything, I would >have troubles to forgive him.

While I posted that comment I really thought that the twist in the end would be that Fluttershy’s dad is either dying or looked away because he went down the road to insanity. Turns out that I was wrong, but that’s ok. The actual ending is far better and less a of cliché. I still hate that guy. The only thing that has changed is that I hate nurse Soft Cure – with that name she must’ve heard many bad puns during her childhood – even more.

You tried to show us that they are ponies with good and bad sides, too. It was a good attempt but in my eyes it failed. The fact that Strongshy saved so many lives only makes him looks like a monster that uses his good reputation to avoid suspicions. And the nurse looks even worse. I’ve got the impression that the only thing important for her was that Strongshy "works", no matter how many corpses are in the basements. There are hints of redeeming qualities but not enough.

If you would’ve showed us some of the patients Strongshy saved or show us more of Soft Cure’s conflict between covering a crime and saving lives they would’ve become more three-dimensional. But all we got was a nurse that acted like an utterly bitch and a child abuser who isn’t that bad because “he’s realy a great doctor.”

Mind you, I’m not complaining about the behavior of the characters. Story wise it makes sense that Fluttershy forgives them and that Strongshy acted the way how he acted. And the rest of the ending was pretty good. The part between Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash was awesome. Stories like these are the reason why Flutterdash is my favorite ship. Bonus points, for the fact that Dash wasn’t forced to make a “Your Friends or your Dream” decision.

Fluttershy as mother is certainly an interesting scenario. Especially with Dash as her marefriend. I foresee a lot of potential for slapstick while they trying to raise a little pony. Fluttershy would probably be always nice and kind like during that one scene with Angel-bunny in Dragonshy and Dash would do all kind of outdoor activities that result in bloody knees and scratches. Then both would argue about the right way how to raise a child. That’s good fan fic material. Not sure if I like the idea of a possible magical pregnancy, however. After reading a story about a filly called Midnight, I’m biased in that matter.

The non-canon endings are good, too. Ending 2 was funny and unexpected. Ending 4 was also a real surprise. It was obvious that Fluttershy acted strange. My theory was that the Strongshy-demon controlled her and she would stab Dash any moment. Again, I was wrong and the actual ending was even better. Therefore it’s no surprise that I don’t like ending 4-1. I was never a big Fan of Fix Fics and since it’s not even the canon ending there’s even less reason for a retcon. The best alternative ending, however, was ending 7. What’s not to like about Strongshy gets blown away by a cannon ball?

All in all, it was a good story and I’m looking forward to your next one.

      ReplyDelete
    163. @Yonasomun

I wrote ending 4+ before the canon ending came out, and ending 4 was so much of a downer I couldn't take it. Saving Fluttershy was all I needed for an excuse to write that since I was too sad to wait for the canon ending. So that's why I wrote it. Also, I just want to clarify one thing. My ending wasn't a retcon since ending 4 never explicitly said Fluttershy drowned. It is a continuation, not a retcon.

With that said, it's fine for you to hold the fact that it is a fix fic against it (I'm surprised more people haven't done that, so far you're the only one), I just hope you decided to read the whole thing before judging it. It still has a bittersweet ending, and it does fill a purpose Jake left open in his other endings.

    164. Great series. Expect to see more :D

Having played the SH1 and SH3 (Saw walkthroughs of other ones), it really was terrible yet tremendously satisfying experience to read your fictions. All the monsters were pretty much dead-on of their original form to pony-fied ones and riddles were not half as bad as the original.

One thing that's been bothering me was how it was the "snow" that fell in the Silent Ponyville. I think it's more accurate if it was "ash" like that terrible movie adaptation (Only liked it for "ash" element only).

    166. Honesty, I would like to see a fic from Strongshy's perspective, maybe insert some redeeming qualities in the colt. To me, it would give a sense of completion to Strongshy, maybe try to reconnect with his daughter and move on (yeah, yeah, I'm a sucker for happy endings like this). Great fic though! I would love to see you write more light hearted fanfics, but I'll always be a fan for something psychologically dark as Silent Hill :)

      ReplyDelete
    167. @LastOfLancas

Ooooh, the "Ash VS. Snow" debate! I LOVE this one!

I personally agree with theory that the "snow" in SH1 WAS actually ash in the beginning- or, more accurately, it was an ABSTRACTION, or rather, what a child might interpret ash being. This theory coincides with the belief that the "fog" is really a symbolic representation of smoke, and the siren is an exaggeration of the sirens of firetruck.

Basically, it's the idea that the primary power of Silent Hill comes from the second half of God that was trapped in Alissa's horribly burned body and forced to live in torment- the fog world being what the world looked like to her immediately after being rescued, and the Otherworld being a manifestation of pain and torment.

Sure, it's only a theory, but it's one that explains why the fog and siren are always the same, even though everything else in Silent Hill seems to change for whoever's currently experiencing it.

    180. I dunno.

I LOVED stories 1 and 2... but so far... 3...

It's filled with a lot of details that make me twitch. and not the "oh-god-that's-so-gross-and-wrong' twitching.. but details like the stubborn insistence on suffocation being likely. Or the... "And Twilight pulled a clipboard out of nowhere SOMEHOW... and then he used his own hammerspace spell to put the thing away." .. as well as the whole "Hey, I don't remember this door being here, in my library and home where I spend all my spare time, being here either." .. or the"I was home schooled and don't know AAAANYTHING about basic elementary magic principals likw raw magic. BUT I went to University :D" ... not to mention the not-right characterization of Twilight...

I mean.. maybe it gets better, maybe there are explanations for some of this stuff, but so far, Notagoodusername360's writings are not enrapturing me in the same way that Jake-heratagu's did.

Jake monster is best monster, to twist a common phrase used 'round here XD

      ReplyDelete
    183. @uneko

Actually, I CAN explain ALL of those.

      1. The Hammerspace spell only works when the item in question has been acquired and tucked safely away into a state of non-being. Twilight didn't use that spell to get the clipboard- she used cartoon physics- Pinkie Pie-style. :3

      2. The door WASN'T there before. Alternate realities, man. They mess with architecture

      3. Demitri WAS home schooled... after nearly stabbing a bully to death one day at school. His parents were earth ponies and didn't know much about unicorn magic, but they DID teach him everything he needed to learn at that age. The university didn't cover it because it was specialized in medicine. Plus, it's not like the average person remembers every minor thing they learned in elementary school...

      4. Twilight's characterization is deliberately slightly off because she is HIGHLY uncomfortable in the alternate reality. This incarnation of Silent Ponyville is confused by her presence, knowing only slightly more about her than Demitri does, and as a result ends up being unsure whether it should be tormenting her as well as Demitri, or should use its influence to use her to disturb Demitri. And yes, the town IS alive.

    184. @Jake Heritagu Except for SH4... and the original release of SH2.

I'm afraid it didn't. In Ending 5, it's Twilight and Pinkie Pie that help Demitri find closure with his past... it's part of the symbolism of those two endings.

Of course, since IMO both endings are equally canon, there's nothing stopping you from making it that way in your head-canon. ^_^

    186. Fluttershy's dad needs an EXTREME beating. Despite saving tons of lives, its not enough for me to sympathize with him. He needs to go into Silent ponyville himself and get torn apart by Pinkamena.

    187. Blood Chronicles :

      ... holy hell-cow of Diablo 2 ? 20 parts ?!
Hummm... I will... put it somewhere in my backlog ...

By the way, was it made by the same author of the Main Story ?

uneko here -- just logged in on my google account this time :P

      Oh.. I think we had a slight misunderstanding in what I didn't like... ^^;

      1. Hammerspace wasn't something I had a problem with, but hammerspace and cartoony physics should be visually indistinguishable... and probably wouldn't have confused Demitri as much,, that said--I DID like it as an explaination for how he was carrying things around :) Though I might have called it something less anime then hammerspace. :) Anyway :3 IT was a minor quibble, though this explanation does make that make a little more sence :)

      2. Oh yes, But my thought is more. .Twilight LIVES there. She wouldn't go "gosh, I don't remember this door either.." She would, very clearly, remember a lack of door there. A line more like "...That's because there WASN'T a dooor there before!" would have made more sence. You know the place you live. y'know?

      3. That's fair enough, but I would figure that any college would have enterance examinations to make sure their students have all the basics--ie, a 'high school diploma/GED as wel las any examinations.... And honestly 'raw magic' seems like it shold have been brought up at some point during medical studies... since the impression I remembered getting was that raw magic backlash could cause harm to the person in question. Being able to identify, understand, diagnose and treat something like that would seem to be important. Even if it wasn't his speciality, y'know? It just seems like it should have come up, if even in a 'in passing' sort of way that might have made him go "eh? what's this raw magic thing?" and look it up on his own. Anyway, I understand the POINT behind mentioning it like that... So that he reader would understand the plot point involved and not jsut go "whhhhaaat?!"

      4. Fiar enough.

Anyway, I went ahead and finished the story and I DID enjoy it--thank you for writing it :) Please don't take my criticism too much to heart. There are few people who can really impress me as a writer ^^;; and I did enjoy this story quite a bit. I particularly did enjoy the endings. THe oooonly other major quibble I have is that some of the puzzles were way too complicated for a simple minded pony like me and they weren't "explained" well enough XD I'd love to see the DA artist comments expanded to explain the answers of the puzzles.

additionally, I was REALLY impressed with your poetry and puzzles. :D

Oh, trust me, I LOVE criticism- valid criticism, anyways. I'm quite the critic myself, and I've always believed in pointing out what's wrong so that either it can be corrected or cautioned of.

Anyways, I have a few more comments on your (all equally valid) concerns:

      1. Well... yeah, I suppose. But since Silent Hill is mostly realistic (except, of course, for the bottomless inventory in several of the games- although SH2 at least proves that James' inventory clearly weighs him down), and MLP isn't, obviously the realism of the combined universe of the two fluctuates equally. I just thought it would be ironic to NOT take artistic license in the one place where the realistic side of the crossover does- by giving it an explanation from the other world. XD

      2. I'm pretty sure that the fact her house had suddenly barricaded her in with a complete stranger probably distracted her from the change in architecture itself. :/

      3. Raw magic backlash is highly uncommon... it's only primarily a concern for foal unicorns, because they're more likely to lose concentration when casting a spell. It's also not nearly as dangerous as you'd think... it takes more than the amount of energy required for a teleport to replicate a spell as complicated as a shared mind delve... I never said Twilight's explanation was correct, after all. Nor did I ever say that Demitri's experience with Dr. Pavclop's mind delve was ANYTHING like Silent Ponyville... The raw magic was only the spark that ignited the blaze. Whatever actually caused the transition to Silent Ponyville is DELIBERATELY ambiguous. ;)

Oh, and as for the puzzles? The only way to understand them is to solve them yourself. Silent Hill style. >:3

Anyways, thanks for reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed it! ^_^
