Lol, I liked it... But since when did Spike have wings?

@anonymous

its just fanon. since the dragon we have seen had wings, it is assumed that as spike ages, he will developed wings. or he could really be a wingless dragon. who knows?

All the dragons had wings; assumed they come with growing up.

Honestly, this doesn't need a shipping tag; randomly tossing Soarin'/AJ together in the first page doesn't really constitute anything.

It also felt more like a normal, with just a heartwarming reuniting of friends and a fun little event going into their daily lives.

Also, this is one thing that annoyed the hell out of me: APPLEBLOOM IS NOT GOOD AT CARPENTRY. Proof of this is in staremaster. She fixed up the clubhouse, yes, because she's good at design and colors in general; she knew how to use the dress fillies in showstoppers, and knew how to not mix paints. She's closer to a designer or color coordinator, but strict carpentry isn't exactly her specialty.

But besides that, that was short and sweet.

@NinesTempest I argue your validness of your proof with how Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were "helping" in Staremaster.

But really, what difference does that make?

@Zarkanorf
I just don't think she is remotely limited to woodwork when there's lot of evidence for her overall ability to work with colors and design clothes even.

Couldn't help but make Spikes voice incredibly deep and menacing for no reason. Good story though.

spike's a creeper...

@ NinesTempest:

Look at the state of the clubhouse before and after Applebloom. She definitely knows how to use carpenter tools. And obviously she is also good at interior decorating.

Anyway, whatever. I personally understand the shipping tag. Story was entertaining enough. Especially the beginning, very recognizable for anyone who sees old friends again after a long period of time.

A short and sweet story that brings smile to my face. Yeah, it works.

That could´ve become very porny.

Very cute and very fun to read!

Anyone knows the source for that pic?
Jezuz! The CMC aged up to like 12-15 or so
Wold be awesome if they actually aged up in season 2 xD

I consider Applebloom's abilities to be more in line with a typical "Handyman" or handypony as it were. She can patch things up, design, color things, anything around the house that needs fixing she's got it covered.

And I also agree with the point that the disaster table in Stare Master was severely hurt by Sweetie Belle (Who's been shown to NOT be good at those kinds of things) and Scootaloo ("We were making a table?")

The notions of cutie mark speculation aside, I thought it was a cute read, though the tickling might have been a bit overdone.

Then again, adults tickling other adults usually implies... a strange relationship.

dawwww that was cute :) there needs to be more spike fics i think

Nice! Love how you easily skirt the cutie marks and not tell what they look like.

The tickling was a little... weird, but still a good story.

@Anonymous

Indeed it could have xD

This was a very cute story, and I'm definitely glad that image of older Spike was there. I can never picture him older, and same goes for the CMC. Need some kind of visual reference for them too.

In my mind, I gave Spike a kind of a raspy teenager voice (like Spyro) that echoed through the cave.

Anyway, great story!

Wait, is that top picture supposed to be CMC grown up-ish? I couldn't tell at first.

Yeah, kinda off topic, but I really hope when-and-if the CMC get their cutie marks, it's not the ones from 3.5. After all, half of the mane cast got remakes from their concept versions! Anyway, Scoots having a butterfly would be weird, considering the butterfly schtick is already taken.

...dude, if Hasbro was on the ball, they could take a page from those weird draw-on teddy bears and make CMC dolls that came with water-soluble markers so you could draw on temporary cutie marks. That would be kinda badass!

That was nice, I liked it 5/5.

I read the first few paragraphs and I was like "OH YES THE RETURN OF THE APPLEJACK/SOARIN' SHIP!"

(because Applebloom did mention that Soarin' was her brother-in-law)

Nice story~
Though I'm not sure if I was confused the whole way or I wasn't really concentrating on the story, but I really enjoyed it!

But it is hard to imagine the CMC as grown-ups
I prefer them to be cute little fillies instead :3

Oooooooooh man...there oughtta be a bonus pun hidden in there somewhere...like the title, you know..."Neeeeeeiiigh (horse whinny sound)-bours"!
