And in other news, Know Your Meme has upgraded bronydom from meme to "Subculture". We are now on the same size level as furry! I hope you are all proud. Me, Cereal, and Phoe need ponysonas, it is now your job as artists to make us some! (I think I'll stay a cube actually, I haven't gone THAT far yet.).
Brony Wins TF2 Competition
Over on TF2's Saxxy Competition page, it looks like a brony has won the award for "Most Inventive Kill". It's not really pony related, but he has a pony avatar, so that is totally worth reporting.
The Meaning of Love and Tolerance
And if you travel over to Ponychan, it looks like a bunch of bronies have come together and written what they believe "love and tolerance" actually means! You can find the massive compilation of responses in this google doc. They sure do think of everything!
Pony ARPG
While you are there, a new game project has started up in /collab/. This one is aiming pretty high, attempting to emulate an ARPG style game (Think Kingdom Hearts). Someone really needs to convince a professional game company to just roll with something like this already! He is looking for pretty much everything, so if you want to join the team, check out this thread!

Say what you will about the story of Kingdom Hearts, the combat system was the absolute gameplay of the gods. A pony game using that would not only earn an ALL MY MONEY, but I would ROB SEVERAL BANKS, so I would have more MONEY to ALL MY with.

Personally, for all the one line they gave her, Luna is my favorite. Dashie is a close second. Rarity and Trixie are near the bottom of the list for me, right above those two snooty fillies from the first Cutie Mark Crusaders episode.
I totally voted Trixi. Between the two, shes the closest thing to Twilight there is. Nuf said.

Trixie is a great character for many reasons. Most important being that she's not clique. Yes she's a braggart, but she's no Major Man. She actually has impressive magical talent. She also is no coward, attempting to fight off the Ursa Minor despite being terrified of it and uncertain that she would succeed. This makes her the best kind of villain, a competant and redeemable one. She's not evil, she just loves the spotlight and it makes her feel good about herself when she can publicly prove to everypony that she's the best.
Rarity is great for the same reasons. She has real talent, but also flaws. It's not like Rarity can't be a big of a jerk as Trixie, Look Before you Sleep shows just how nasty and vindictive she can be. Episodes like Sonic Rainbow and Green Isn't your color show that she can also be Jealous and attention grabbing.
Her positive traits shine through though. She doesn't want to make everything around her beautiful so she can enjoy it. She wants to make everything beautiful so others can enjoy it. She's by far the most tolerant of ponies towards pinkie pie's randomness, Twilight's eggheadedness, and Rainbow Dash's boastfulness. She's a drama queen yet so even keel at the same time. I also relate to her love of creating art for the sake of beauty and respect of one's craft. Her finicky perfectionist attitude and constant all-nighters resonate with experiences I've had many times before. I like Rarity because she can be the character that recognizes Rainbow Dash needs help and then make things worse in the same episode. She's not boring or predictable.
If Trixie could gain the self confidence and purpose to put on magic shows for the sake of entertainment instead of for self gratification, I'd like her a lot more. But I'm not really supposed to like Trixie, which makes her a fantastic villain, but she's just not deep enough to be my favorite character.
Trixie is great but with her 1 shot episode she remains 1-dimensional, having failed to learn her lesson by episode's end.
Rarity is a great mix of positive and negative traits to make her interesting. Trixie doesn't have that going on yet. Most of the mane cast have pretty straightforward personalities and mannerisms. Pikie Pie is going to be weird and funny. Twilight is going to be socially awkward and over-analyze things. Applejack is going to tough things out. Fluttershy is going to be timid. Rainbow dash is going to be bullheaded. But Rarity? Everyone's favorite episodes are when a pony goes against that grain. It's great to see weak Fluttershy yell at a dragon and stare down the cockatrice. Rarity does this constantly. Rarity is my favorite because she goes against her own grain all the time. Is she going to faint and be useless or is she going to kick the Manticore in the face? Is she going to selflessly cut off her own tail or beg Fluttershy to let her exploit her good looks to advance her fashion career. You never know, and that's drama!
Rarity isn't perfect, but she's trying to be, and failing. Just like a real person.
I can't decide between Trixie and Rarity. Obviously this means I must vote for Lyra.

I don't get you guys. The less screentime a char gets in MLP the more popular it is online. Why? Rarity has plenty of fantastic moments in the show and she is a fully developed character. There is no contest here.

Wow...seriously, an ARPG via community strength? I applaud his ambition, yet there is an extremely painful truth. Even we from the pony MMO team are barely making ends meet when it comes to continuable development, networking and work. And we are doing all three constantly.

In the Rarity Vs Trixie battle, I vote for Rarity, mainly due to the fact that Rarity is overall a better developed character than Trixie, whom appeared in only one episode, aside from that, despite the flaws that Rarity have, she learns from them, as evidenced in the end of the Rainboom episode in which she apologises to Rainbow Dash for "stealing her thunder", whilst Trixie just keeps her boastful nature for fake deeds, also, I fail to see the reason to humiliate the cast after they have shown their skills when they haven't phisically done anything to the blue unicorn.
Also, forgive for any mispell, english is not my first language.

We really shouldn't be arguing over who our favorite pony is. It is called an opinion for a reason. Ponies are ponies, and we shouldn't play favorites. I'm a little sad so many people seem to think Seth and Cereal's hilarious "best pony is Trixie no Rarity no U!" edit wars are a serious argument or some kind of insult to "my own personal favorite pony", and give them 2 stars, when they are extemely funny and deserve 5 stars.
If you're a little over-anxious, it's OK, we KNOW you like Dash best, or whoever, so just sit back and enjoy the banter. If you're gonna insult Rarity, make it FUNNY. And if you REALLY "hate" the ponies, maybe you should calm down and stop watching the show???

Everypony knows the only reason why people pick Rarity is because she hangs with the popular kids.
It's an underlying motivator and what not; the thought of hanging with one cool filly gains you access to the others.
