• Pony Billboard Sighted!

In the immortal words of Twilight Sparkle: SHIT YEAH

Okay, she never said that. But she would have had she seen these. It's up! And this time Seth didn't steal this news post from me! Ha!

Three more shots from Helio Pause after the break.

    1. I wouldn't bet on it staying up more than a month. That particular billboard seems to change often.

    2. Yes, it's real!
The strange things is that when I went to work today (I work in Pasadena live in Garden Grove), I was trying to guess where the billboard might be. LA is a BIG place... but I thought of the 101 freeway corridor by Barham Blvd., which is the street that Warner Bros. studio is on, as well as an entrance to Universal City... an obvious place, but likely a VERY expensive site.

Then I saw the first picture, and even though I couldn't see a street sign, I knew where it was! I headed over there, and while I was taking pictures, another Brony showed up on a bike! He had a RBD t-shirt and gave me a high-five Brohoof! We took pictures for each other, and went our separate ways...

      I love this community!

    10. no shit THE FAUST disaproves, they're turning her beautiful "high quality little girl's show taht anyone van enjoy" into "girly-looking southpark".

next thing you know cupcakes is canon.

    11. Did they do this just for the fans? I mean, it dosen't really adveritise the show directly. It just creates AWESOME hype for the comunity.

    12. so awesome doesn't come close to how awesome this is

    14. I love that Hub/Hasbro have done this, such epic win.

My only question is, why don't they have some kind of accompanying web coverage to go with it?

If you type "Bridlemaids" into google (who still does that?), it comes up with a number of items, none of which link back to Hub/Hasbro.

Maybe it's only meant to be a shoutout to Bronies; but in the interests of recruiting more Bronies, wouldn't it have been better to have google search return something useful?

Perhaps an enterprising Brony could get onto this...

At any rate, let's see more Pony billboards! Much love to Hub!

    16. Actually, if you type in bridlemaids on google, the first two links clearly are about My Little Pony. I think Hasbro knew fans would create the content online, anything from their part would have been completely unnecessary.

    24. Looked at it on G-maps but it was only Transformers Prime shit. This is cool though.

      ReplyDelete
    25. @Anonymous I do believe your presumptions should be quelled. This doesn't affect the Animation nor the quality of the show as it is. Lauren is confident in those who still left at studio B. This was simply just he marketing team doing their job.

Cupcakes becoming canon? Please...Choose a more believable hyperbole next time.

      ReplyDelete
    29. that looks like it's just by Universal Citywalk...
going to see if i can see it this weekend

      ReplyDelete
    30. I demand one of these be placed in Times Square NY! Hell, scratch that. Make a 30 second clip of the show to be placed on one of the random building screens!

      For pony world domination~!

      ReplyDelete
    31. But will it do its job: that is grow the local audience measurably, such that Nielson and thus the studio execs can see it?

      That aside: "HUMAN POSES!!! AAARRRRGH!!!"

      ReplyDelete
    32. Does anybody else get a "Sex and the City" vibe from the billboard?

      ReplyDelete
    33. Unfortunately I drive a 72 foot long commercial vehicle, and that doesn't look a street I could even hope to squeeze a big truck in.

Nevermind I haven't been to the west coast in years.

Put one in San Antonio! Please!

      ReplyDelete
    34. Dude. Whoever drives past that everyday must be very lucky.

      ReplyDelete
    35. OMG, I thought that the image on top was shopped.

    38. @Anonymous

Wise brony is wise? Dude, I think you're the oldest brony here, and I think that's awesome.

      Ponies know no (age) limits.

    40. *Crazed Laugh*

That is fucking cool. I mean, holy shit, if I saw that Billboard, I would shit myself.

      ReplyDelete
    41. An ad like this, might be the first time they started actively marketing this show outside the target audience. Can I get a "Woot woot!"?

      ReplyDelete
    42. I saw this pic before, and i thought it was fake. this show is just THIS FREAKIN' AWESOME!

    47. Hey guys, guess what! Yesterday, we actually went to see this billboard! We were in California, and had nothing to do, so I thought, "Why not?" Believe me, that billboard is REAL. I've seen it for myself.

I'd like to thank Crimson Valor for putting up the address to the building. You made this possible for us, Crimson. Kudos to you.

    48. Ponies are above Valhalla.
If I were a religious man, I would look deeper into that symbolism.

    49. *REPEATED JAWDROPS*

...I just read about this. Now I know where that image comes from (the lineup of five serious/angry-looking ponies, plus Pinkie.) Holy...shite. The amazingness of this show and its creators and fans will never cease to astound me. EGAD. Pony billboards are needed along all the highways of the nation, plz.

And funnily enough, I just happen to be wearing brick wall-printed socks at this very moment. xD

    50. Amazing...another shout-out (really, how many kids are going to, or should, get that?!) Lovely spot for it, too, except that...I live in New Jersey. 3'= Otherwise you know I'd be there snapping photos of myself gleefully pointing at it like a little freak. And though I am road trippin' to Colorado next month, I doubt my ability to convince the rest of my posse to add Cali for that purpose. xD Bah, the folks in those vehicles don't know how lucky they are to have set eyes even fleetingly upon such ponilicious glory!

      ReplyDelete
    51. Yeah, I do get a sort of 'Sex & the City' vibe as well. 8-) Actually, I wonder whether the film itself has that feeling. I'm looking forward to seeing it.

      Amazing billboard!! O___O *w*
Now if only there could be a series of them à la South of the Border, leading us down the road towards Equestria...+0

    53. This is the most awesome thing ever! Even more awesome than the mysterious pony-related thing I am going pull of this year! If you ask me, they should post billboards of this in every state of the US and every province of Canada!

      THERE MUST BE PONIES EVERYWHERE
