New Album: "Drinks On Da House!" Released!

A while ago I posted these alcoholic beverages inspired by each pony.  Someone named Silva Hound over on Bandcamp took these one step futher, and created house-style music to go with each one.  Whether he did this while actually consuming said alcoholic beverages remanes(can I do that? Can I misspell that with mane?) to be seen.

Anyway, you can find the entire thing streamed on the page below, as well as for sale!

Music that corresponds with drinks? Pony drinks?
Why haven't I heard about this before?

lol @ the "Invisible Touch" sample in Pinkie Pie's, that's great. Spike's has a really nice guitar riff in the middle. Scratch's takes a while to get going but let it get started and watch out.

I... might just get this. I'm kinda digging this.

This is good drinking and gaming music.

Lol $4 for a few songs. I think I'll download for the price of somewhere in the area of... $0.00. Thank you firefox cache and thank you bandcamp for foolishly putting the entire songs up as a preview.

Good job Sef, now I can't stop picturing dead bodies with pony puns.
They don't mix be tee dubs...
But I am sure this mucik will clear that from my mind!

I'm broke to even afford it. :(

Oh-hohoho! (devilish laugh!) This is pretty sweet! Songs based off of alcoholic beverages based off of ponies? *squee*

@Sun Ray

...Seriously? The least you could do is not lol right in the comments about how ~*smart*~ you're being by pulling out the songs like that.

@Sun Ray
Considering the average album from a brick and mortar store would run you about 8 bucks, these are REALLY good, and vaguely pony related, i daresay you are an enormous dick

Sun Ray said...

Yes they are good, but I'm too poor to afford. I need to save my remaining $60 for rent =(.

Nightmommy said...

@NightmommyOn a less virulent side note, ALL OF MY MONEY
TAKE IT

Anonymous said...

Do I spend my last few bucks here?

Yes.

Yes I do.

@Sun Ray
Bandcamp's not being "foolish" for streaming the full songs - they and the bands who use their service know perfectly well that there will be people who will save the streams. They're basically counting on there being enough people out there who respect the work of the artists (i.e. repay them for their efforts monetarily) to make it worth their while.

BUT PONIES DON'T DRINK!!!

@Sun Ray

Quality music deserves support.

@Nightmommy

Ahhh but they are so good, I'm too OCD to play them in my browser!

I love these, but how many of them are just mixes of pre-existing songs? that would kinda dampen my enthusiasm. Not too much, i mean, these still kick ass.

BronyMike said...

Too bad the ALBUM isn't "On Da House"...

Anonymous said...

Love the album, even if I'm sober XD

Anonymous said...

I'd also be interested in how much/little is taken from the non-mixed songs, as i'm quite sure most of it is an original effort from him.

Sun Ray said...

I'm just kidding. I haven't downloaded anything yet, though I do steal many other songs off bandcamp.

These are ok, but after listening to them all 3 times I've decided I don't really want them.

Anonymous said...

Torrents are way its at it. If you're gonna steal, steal in bulk.

Sun Ray said...

Ok, I "might" steal the Rainbow Dash one. Not sure yet LOL. Still trying to figure out if I like it enough.

AliceInChains said...

How do you steal it with Firefox Cache?

This is all assuming you have firefox 4.

1. Go to the page with the music and stop it

2. Tools > options > Advanced tab > network tab > clear cache (this is to make finding your files easier)

3. In the address bar type in: about:cache

4. Under "Disc cache device" (not Memory cache device) click "List Cache Entries"

5. play the song

6. Edit > find > type in mp3 > play the mp3 file

7. File > Save Page As > type in whatever the hell you want > click save

@Sun Ray

If you're using Chrome you can do this:

1. Go to the page with the music

2. View > Developer > Developer Tools (Command-option-I) on mac anyways, probably something similar for windows

3. Click play on a song, "track" will appear on the box at the bottom

4. Click track

5. Copy the "Request URL" (it's the very top thing) and open that in the URL bar

6. File > Save Page As, etc.

@Anonymous

Oh it turns out at step 4 you can just double click "track" and it opens in a new tab. Handy.

I had no idea about the alcoholic beverages, glad someone came up with the idea (even though I wanted to come up with some myself :( )

Overall, not a bad album.

Now all I need is a drinking game.

I was skeptical at first, but DAMN! This brony got skills.

i agree and to also contrtibute; im a brony on a budget. its hard for me as im sure as some of the other lurkers (i think thats the brony wat to say it) that cant afford these songs but would like to. I love free downloads and i hope we can get these for free. Id be down for if a bunch of bronies went on tour and we across soithern california for instance. i would pay 10-30 bucks to see them. for now, lets have some free songs please

@TGPFluttershy

I have a folder called "Pnycholic" with 4 seperate pony drinking games in it, I'm sure you will find them easily :)

Pretty cool album. The first 2 songs would kinda be a hit-or-miss for most people, but it gets much better after those. (not saying that I think those are bad, imo, but if you don't like them, I recommend skipping to song 3)

Hardbeat Acolyte said...

This is a very cool album :)

@Anonymous WOAH! Are you THE Lauren Faust?

DJ Crossbones said...

I love Renard for creating the drinks, and Silva Hound even more for making songs for each drink.
I now have the elements (drinks and music) to have a very brony New Years.
