I couldn't watch it so I stared at Google's Lunar Eclipse.

...That's just as good right?

supervanman64 said...

I'm in America, so yeah no lunar eclipse for me.

Saurian said...

I wonder if being on the edge of NA will give me a fighting chance to see it (Alaska)

Curse my living in North America!
Still sending Luna lots of love though!

Freaking Luna. Why would she exclude North America? I mean, I love her as much as any European!

Oh well. I'll love her anyway.

Gozerian said...

did I already miss it? I was watching Harry Potter

Roman500 said...

Curse you Northern Hemisphere blocking my view of the moon. I guess i'll have to wait till december 10th to celebrate Luna day or night.

Fenix said...

No lunar eclipse for me in the United States, but I did see full one I think two years ago when driving home from school.

Crimson Valor said...

Welcome to America. :(

Anonymous said...

Don't be sad Luna I will pay you for the hugs its fine. Perfect compensation for not making the eclipse visible in North America.

Kruger said...

@Brett Turner I live in Texas also. But like wise, I dunno if I was able to see it. Hell, I didn't even know there was one tonight. And the post was written in passed tense, so I think it already happened.

Ivan2294 said...

@Brett Turner

You are Texan therefore you win.

Complete cloud cover where I am. Only got to see a dull grey sky.

I blame Celestia. I love Luna too much ^.^

Durnit... Missed her. Oh well. How often do we get Lunar Eclipses?

Anonymous said...

Already happened here. Was cloudy all night and no moon in sight. I always knew why I don't like you, Luna! Back to the moon with you!

Anonymous said...

Yes I watched the livestream... for a minute. I'm sorry I'm just very jaded concerning eclipses I saw the last total one over North America and well yeah. I'm sorry Luna don't send me to the... sun?

Slapshot said...

I saw a giant yellow orb floating in the sky in Virginia myself... good enough?

Terrible Fanart Brony said...

Sorry I couldn't see the eclipse, Luna. I really would've liked to, but I live in the U.S., and we can't see it here.

Anonymous said...

I didn't watch because I don't caaaaare!

Shanaar said...

Saw a lovely cloud cover over here, had to watch it online.

Anonymous said...

Lunar Eclipses are more common than Solar Eclipses.

Anonymous said...

Went out for a ride. Saw the full moon beaming over Mulholland just before it disappeared into a thick fog.

Emerald Page said...

I watched it live today at work on my computer. It was cool. But it was even cooler when I saw it rise into the night sky. I'm looking at it right now and...

She is so beautiful...

Pinkamina Diane Pie said...

I'm sorry Luna! I would have watched, but I'm in Nebraska and couldn't see it. D:

Can I still have several thousand hugs? I'll pay for them if you want me to. You are the best pony ever, after all!

I wuv u! :D

Blue fox said...

Was not able to see it because somepony did not move the storm cloud's out of the way.

James Corck said...

I did see it, but because the sun went down so frigging slow it lasted for only 12 minutes. It was cool anyways, I've never seen the Moon like that before.

CommunistPrime said...

I got off my shift in Afganistan (I'm currently deployed) and immediately went out to see it! I only got 6 hours of sleep but it was totally worth it for Luna ~<3

Duskfly said...

*waves across from the U.S*

I'm sorry Luna. I couldn't attend to your magnificent eclipse.

Still went out and watched the full moon (it was gorgeous btw, Thanks Luna). laid down in mah hammock and chilled to Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. I don't think I've ever been more relaxed.

I just watched the eclipse on all its astral glory, cant be disappointed even when the cloudy weather was a menace to its sight, cant be disapointed by the cosmic dance displayed above my head.

Anonymous said...

ARGH, I wanted to see it, WHY AMERICA

Ewyndall said...

In Hungary, I was watching it from the balcony :)

Moon was very low in the beginning (not to mention it was barely visible) so couldn't see it from the street. Just stood outside, turning around, confused

"Where the hay is that F*beeeep* Moon?!"
"Is Celestia trolling me?!"

But yeah then I got to the balcony and saw it. Was interesting indeed :) Thanks to Cereal who posted about it a few days ago, otherwise I would probably have missed it.

Kujiiro said...

I watched the Google eclipse. Which I found to be quite awesome :>

Anonymous said...

I tried to, but the weather Pegasi had cloudy weather scheduled and wouldn't negotiate...

Forseer said...

lol, I got up at 4:00 to see it, but was blocked by a huge ass hill... :(

David said...

LUNA I'M SO SORRY ;_____;

Flygon16 said...

@Ivan2294
I find your logic quite...logical.
Texan bronies ftw.

Anonymous said...

I got up and watched it, but only saw the first 5 minutes before it got enveloped by clouds
Celestia why do you always get the pegasi to ruin anything your sister does?!

Didn't see a lunar eclipse, but I did admire the perfect full moon for an hour...did a lot of thinking..

Anonymous said...

Netherlands here. Clear skies and perfect vision.

Clear Skies said...

Looked at it before I went to bed. Quite cool :) The moon was also generally awesome and bright. Luna knew we would be watching.

Pinkie_Pie_fan471 said...

I can's see it here...sorry Luna.

Anonymous said...

Moon was quite hypnotic tonigght, very clear here. Wrong hemisphere for the eclipse tho =/

Outline said...

There was too much cloud cover to see anything :(. Where're the pegasi when you need them?

Anonymous said...

I got trolled by celestia. She left the sun up until just after the eclipse ended.

Anonymous said...

My lunar eclipse experience went something like:

>Hear about eclipse
>Attempt and fail to convince others to come out at 5am to watch it
>Go out alone to see it
>Find others all crowded together, viewing the eclipse
>Make new friends
>Go to bakery afterwards at 6am, acquire cupcakes

I'm sure there's an MLP episode plot in there somewhere...

Anonymous said...

I couldn't seen Luna in Poland but I seen on page with online moon. Eh I would like to see lunar eclipse in December. I'll be waiting for it and I have hope that sky would be clear. Because yesterday sky in Poland was been cloudy : (

Solid grey clouds for my part of the UK last night. Looks cool on Google though.

Don_ko said...

No Luna for me ;_;
It's a cloudy rainy day of a cloudy and rainy month.

Don't worry we have chance to see luna eclipse at December.

That is the cutest Luna pic I've ever seen, lordy.
Also, missed it because Virginia :(

I'll catch your next one, I promise Luna.

Anonymous said...

I went out walking for about an hour yesterday night to go catch the eclipse.
It was cloudless night here except for a ridiculously long one that blocked out the moon for several hours <.<

GrapePie said...

Saw it. It was amazing! I could have sworn that I saw luna`s face up there...

Firleycat said...

Went out during my break from work, all excited about the eclipse, only to see the whole sky covered with clouds. What the hell Ireland? It was clear and sunny all day until about 7:30 and then BANG, wall of clouds.

Sorry, Luna. Next time for sure.

Rohit Eligeti said...

Luna for Me! what a beautiful eclipse! :D

Don_ko said...

^ Same here. Yesterday it was all shiny and good, then suddenly today it's super rainy.

Yeah, the December. Better clouds should not be on the sky or I'll banish them in the moon!

Don_ko said...

Wait a minute.. IS IT PAINT BUCKET FROM TF2 ON THE BANNER? But how?

C-Puff said...

Yaaay! I saw it! 8DD all the way here in South Africa! It was amazing!

Jason said...

In North America so no luck.. but on an unrelated note.. god I love Luna.

Matva said...

I suspect Trollestia was somehow involved! The Moon was not visible whatsoever here :(

Aluzird said...

Only managed to see the end of it.

*tackle-glomps Luna, since she needs the concentrated love directly injected into her soul*

Anonymous said...

Cloudy weather in the UK fuuuuu

DavidReinold said...

Pertaining to the picture, I'll take you up on that offer.

*hug*

Lupinator said...

Looks like I'm one of the few that got to see it. There were clear skies in Kraków, Poland.

Lily Xute said...

I didn't go out to see it. The moon would be hidden and that would not nice on Princess Luna.

Also complete cloud cover helps

Anonymous said...

Irish brony here.
I would have seen it, if it WEREN'T FOR THE CLOOOUDS!

Anonymous said...

In the banner, Twilight acquired a Peculiarly Drab Tincture paint can
And I never saw the eclipse since the UK was covered in cloud. Sorry Luna :(

Anonymous said...

Poor Fillypino who didn't see the eclipse :(

At least we're the same :)

Anonymous said...

i couldnt see it and i live outside U.S. and i stayed all night :(

Vythe said...

Didn't stay up, couldn't see it... Celestia trolled the whole US... and aparently Ireland and parts of Poland... I would congratulate you, Trollestia, but I'm too busy plotting my revenge...

Anonymous said...

I'm sure that the whole North America not being able to see it was part of Empress Celestia's plot to make us hate Luna. It ain't working missy >:I

Anonymous said...

Stationed over in Iraq at the moment, and the night was relatively dust-free, so I had a nice view of it.

The eclipsed Moon doesn't go totally dark; it reflects a little diffuse light that works its way around the Earth's rim. The result is the Moon appears a different color each eclipse due to differences in the Earth's atmosphere at the time. I've seen them come in copper-red, orange, dirty yellow, and even purple.

This one was a dark yellow, almost green--quite unusual, I thought.

Anonymous said...

South America here. Couldn't see a thing due to the rain and clouds. I so sad.

Anonymous said...

Bloody North west England with our cloud cover and tall houses

Somber said...

Sigh. There won't be an eclipse like that till 2141. But in north America we should have a shot at seeing her on April 15,2014.

cameronstalker said...

I went outside to see it, but the lazy pegasi in our area didn't clear the clouds in time

Checkmate said...

English brony here. Got all ready to see the eclipse only to discover a layer of cloud completely blocking the sky. Only got a glimpse of the end of the eclipse.

The pegasi over here are such slackers. Can't even keep the sky clear for one measly night grumble grumble

Bananizen said...

Couldn't see it either. I'm too far up north, near the polar circle. so the sun barely goes down and the moon is barely over the horizon. so no eclipse for me.

Anonymous said...

I wasn't able to the the Luna eclipse from where I was. ;_; I had to enjoy it from the Google logo.

Kill me, I'm a PONY said...

Silly Twilight, that's not a hat

Marcoooootje1 said...

I live in the northern part of the Netherlands, I asked my cousin to come over and then we went to watch the eclipse at the beach close to my house, it was really fun, even thought we couldn't see much of it cause of the clouds blocking our view.
Like cameronstalker said, the lazy pegasi did a lousy job that night :P
The sky was clear all the rest of the week, so I am disappoint.

Anonymous said...

Cloudy, so no eclipse for me

It was a clear night. However, due to my locale, I enjoyed the standard full moon instead of this wonder.
