It is on the official MLP Facebook page, which I am given to understand is actually run by the show producers. I suppose it's possible that they're trolling us, but it seems relatively reasonable to take this at face value for now. C'mon, really, we're all bronies here, we don't have much use for cynicism. And name-calling isn't terribly nice, either.
Anyway, personally I love the look on Fluttershy's face best, maybe because it contrasts so directly with her usual demeanor.

I won't say your trepidation is unwarranted, but so far the fanservice has been almost exclusively confined to ads, which is exactly where it should be, in my opinion. Now, granted, there hasn't been any canonical content released in the same timeframe, but the show creators have been aware of us for a good while--remember Derpy Hooves?
Bottom line, I say let's just keep the faith and trust that the producers are smart enough to leave the fanservice out of the show. Not much more we can do.

That is so amazingly epic. At first I looked at it and thought "that's some nice fan art". Then I noticed the link and was all "Oh My GOSH! It's real! It's Real? This is official? This is official!" Then I realized what it was parodying and starting laughing like a Hyena for several minutes.
This is going to turn many heads on the road. They all have have this smug look about them, well except for Pinkie Pie, but then again she's Pinkie Pie. This billboard will defiantly create many new fans.
Hasbro/The Hub wanted to know fan reaction, and from what I've seen so far it is overwhelmingly positive. It is stuff like this that will help change the way people view MLP.
I hate when ponies are in human poses. Twilight and Rarity look really freaky. I'm glad they're reaching out to their older audience, but I think this is misleading. The show is not like this.

I know where you're coming from - one of the reasons I love the show is that it's NOT full of ironic references - but I think Hub is doing the right thing advertising this way. They need eyeballs, and seeing as the adults are still largely the ones in control of the remote, those are the people they need to target.

Someone NEEDS to submit a photo to Equestria Daily of this ad on an actual billboard once it goes up. This is amazing and awesome.

And really well-thought out as a parody, too! Not only are the ponies actually positioned like the women in the film's poster (link to image), but - having seen Bridesmaids myself - the characters are actually paralleled pretty well too! Rainbow Dash as Megan: the straight-talking, no-nonsense one. Twilight as Rita: a shut-in, disaffected mom that wants to get out and socialize more. Fluttershy as Becca: the naive, shy and repressed Disney movie nut. Pinkie Pie as Helen: the party-planner. Rarity and Applejack are the only two, in my opinion, that don't quite fit the Bridesmaids characters, but for two very different productions (a "little girl's" cartoon versus an R-rated comedy) the parallels that do exist were very well done!

I don't see how this would ruin the show. Of course, if they started putting in obvious fan service into the show then it would be ruined, but that isn't what they're doing. You have to remember, the marketing arm of MLP:FiM is completely different from the arm that actually makes the episodes.
This is awesome, I didn't think this was real at first! Unrelated, I think that there should be a post about Funnyjunk . com, because that website has officially converted to ponies as well (I helped a little)! The Admin of the site changed his profile name to Princess Celestia, and is now holding a poll to get suggestions on a site name-change. About 60-80% of the suggestions are something along the lines of ponies.
I would watch this if it were a movie.
It would have been cooler if they had been able to work out a normal (for ponies) pose while getting the feeling of the original poster across. The only pony who should be on two hooves is Pinkie.
That said, it's funny. But I still hope that any future posters will translate 2 legged poses to 4 legged poses (as was done in the show, like during Fluttershy's photo shoots).
Funnyjunk is fucking terrible. All their content is stolen from other, much better sites. The admin is a homophobic retard. The less publicity that site gets, the better.
About the poses, I think Rarity has her front left leg stretched behind AJ and Twilight's hind leg is bent back at the knee (not the ankle) with her ankle joint straight.
It is a common misconception that the knee on the rear leg of quadrupeds (dogs, cats, horses etc.) bend backwards. What people think is a backwards knee is actually the ankle joint. Horses have a knee joint on the rear leg it is just position high up on the leg relatively close to the body compared to the foreleg. On the Ponies it is just below the Cutie Mark. Look carefully at how Pinkie's hind legs bend in the billboard. Back then forward. The thigh is just short.
Search for "funnyjunk oatmeal" to learn more about how Funnyjunk is the worst thing.
This seems to cool to be official. I like this trend.

We don't have to worry about adult fan service working its way into the show. This is simply advertising. It's purpose is to grab people's attention and make them want to find out what this is all about. It is no different then the fan made YouTube videos (why do you think Hasbro allows them, it's free advertising) only official.

*Laughs!* Sorry, I didn't mean to "harsh your pony buzz". I just finished up in the Artist's Training Ground Event and have been studying FiM pony anatomy for the last month. I drew some ponies standing so I have re-watched episodes and stared for hours at how they are drawn. I have not seen that particular pose before in canon art.
