Nothing wrong with OC ponies at all. People should be judging the quality of the picture/story itself, not what it is based off of.
For people to hate OC ponies just because they are OC ponies is the same as others not liking MLP simply because it is based on ponies and not, for example, human beings.

As for the question, I don't have anything against OC ponies, just as long as they're done well - not on a pony generator. A good example would be Starlight Spark, a very well drawn and interesting OC that you can find here http://www.ponychan.net/chan/art/res/16661+50.html#17791 as well as her other OC ponies. Frankly I would love to see an OC pony edition.

I don't see a problem with OC ponies, really. Maybe put them in their own drawfriend post separate from the usual one, for those who ~*cannot abide*~ OCs.

I don't have anything personal against an OC Pony Drawfriends. I probably wouldn't bother looking at it, but that depends on what the opener is.

As someone who draws OC's I wouldn't mind an OC drawfriends. Though I'd expect it to be well done and not full of Mary Sue characters being shipped with the main cast.
(Like I want to see nothing of that one guy from DA that ships his alicorn sized earth pony with Celestia, and by ship I mean there are pictures he drew of them getting married. All of my hate)

Characters are much more compelling if we have some proper story and traits to go with them. For the main characters, that's no problem, and most of the background characters have enough unified fanon that we feel like we know them.
For OC pictures to be comparably compelling, we need to know the characters involved. It might be best to post images of a particular OC pony several at a time, or with a link to relevant character information/fanfiction.

'Drawfriend' is what it sounds like - a friend who draws (and lets us see the results). We don't literally need to know them to think of them as friends, of course.
It's an evolution of a less friendly chan-board term for artists who post drawings on the board.

On that note, I think this whole "no fanfiction" and "no OC" crap is a slippery slope. We can't create a cliché, a "core" brony group that is somehow better or more "pure" than others. We must be as welcoming of new ideas now as we were six months ago.
