The diction and pacing is right, but the odd line comes off in the same tone Twilight used on Spike about him being "a widdle baby dwagon" that really needs to not be there. Bring it down half an octave, though, and it works beautifully.
As for the 'more derp', I personally feel Derpy is more of a dumb blond, not a mentally challenged idiot. And she's capable of being smart and even normal when she tries. I really don't enjoy making her completely stupid/braindead like some people want her to be. She's shown many times in Ponyville she functions just fine >:[ I don't know why she sounds too young to people though, since Pinkiepie's voice is an even higher pitch than what I used. I might try a more mature Derpy later on though, just to see how people react. I was basing the voice off her "Muuuuffiinnnsss" line that was spoken in season 1.

Note the difference between filly Pinkie, and "mature" Pinkie. And more derp doesn't necessarily mean mentally challenged or idiot, or a combination of those two. It just means, moments of omgwtfbbq. The occasional mangled sentence. Quite intriguing how most people all talk for Dinky. I think I'm one of the very very few people who routinely see's Derpy on the same sort of age and standing as the rest of the mane cast.
To me, this sounds spot on to make a very unique and animated voice for her.
To the people who think it should be deeper, there are adults in our own species, especially women, who still speak with the same voice they did as a child. When you're female, that "deeper voice" thing can go out the window. Plus a peppy cute voice is what she needs if she's going to be silly, goofy, and spaced out. Every dumb blonde stereotype on t.v. that I've seen has a high peppy voice. It's not anime to do. There are people out there who actually sound like this.
I think I can even imagine the Pinkie Pie actress attempting this. Instead of a new voice actor to pay, they may just have that actress do the lines.
(personally, I want Catie Wayne to voice act Derpy in her Boxxy voice but I don't think that will happen)
I recommend to you all to visit BaldDumboRat's actual Youtube page. She has several more Ditzy Doo attempts up there, without the cold hampering her sinuses. You'll probably all find those clips to your liking, as the pitch IS noticeably lower.

Well, this is uber cute... but mature up the voice especially if she is the Dam of Ditzy. Good job of VA though.
To the people who think it should be deeper, there are adults in our own species, especially women, who still speak with the same voice they did as a child. When you're female, that "deeper voice" thing can go out the window. Plus a peppy cute voice is what she needs if she's going to be silly, goofy, and spaced out. Every dumb blonde stereotype on t.v. that I've seen has a high peppy voice. It's not anime to do. There are people out there who actually sound like this.
I think I can even imagine the Pinkie Pie actress attempting this. Instead of a new voice actor to pay, they may just have that actress do the lines.
(personally, I want Catie Wayne to voice act Derpy in her Boxxy voice but I don't think that will happen)
I don't like it. It's for the same reason I don't like Pinkie Pie's voice: it gives me a headache.

Actually...I retract my previous comment. After letting the voice sink in a bit, I could see her sounding like this in the show. :D
Nah, this voice is way too high and sounds like Pinky Pie. It's very annoying actually.

It could do with being a little deeper. The chief problem with fan characters is that they never sound like each fan thinks they should sound like

I recommend to you all to visit BaldDumboRat's actual Youtube page. She has several more Ditzy Doo attempts up there, without the cold hampering her sinuses. You'll probably all find those clips to your liking, as the pitch IS noticeably lower.
That said, great stuff! Am looking forward to more from her. ^^
This should be the voice actor for Dinky. Derpy's voice needs to be a tad deeper.
