I really hope Luna is at least somewhat like her fanon in season two. I think out of everything (aside from trixie's return), that is my most anticipated thing about the end of the year when new episodes start rolling out.

I never got the appeal for Luna other than looking cute (like Fluttershy, but with less screentime; though Fluttershy does a damn good job at it). Celestia is one of my favorite ponies.

That's probably my pic on favorite OC in it. I'm pretty sure it was influenced by Ranbow Dash. The mane, tail and design look similar ( although it appears to be a colt and not a mare ).

I'd hug Celestia. She's not a tyrant, she's just misunderstood. It's not her fault that the two men that have been the greatest influences in her life are David Xanatos and Havelock Vetinari. If you don't know who Xanatos is then you've never ran into his (in)famous gambit on TVtropes before. If you do not know who Vetinari is, you owe it to yourself to learn. The City Watch stories of the Discworld series are a good place to start as are the Discworld stories starring Moist Von Lipwig.
Of course I'd hug Luna too but that goes without saying.
On the plus side, Fanon Luna is a result of many folks making two logical conclusions: 1) Celestia is close to Twilight because she reminds her of her long lost sister; and 2) Luna pretty much got shot forward a thousand years into the future and that's a little unnerving.
It's probably the most likely set of fan assumptions to be true.

Therefore this comic reflects the community given this fandom's obsession with Luna and our constant Trolestia jokes. This probably happened after Trollestia's "Fan" letter prank. Luna told Twilight about it in a Spike letter, Twilight spreads the word, and BAM! Hugs for Luna line. Also, a no hugging Celestia rule because of her prank!
