I thumbed it up! I'd love to see them make an MLP Epic Rap Battle of History.
The thing is, though all the matchups are made by the people, the matchups the makers tend to actually create are the very contrasting, different, almost random ones. Examples: Hulk Hogan vs Kim Jong-Il, The Easter Bunny vs. Genghis Khan, and Justin Bieber vs. Beethoven. To have two cartoon characters from the same franchise do a rap battle? I don't think it's likely to happen.
But don't get me wrong, I seriously hope to see this come to light!!! >w<
This just being on EqD completely guarantees its win. That is, of course, implying that these 'rap battles' are as unpopular as I think they are. Honestly, I have no idea, but most of the things to vote for on EqD win. Also, I think we could definitely pull off the 10,000 LoL recruits.
I hate how youtube comments are still nigh impossible to find. The top rated comments age now so no matter how popular they get, they into the multitudes of comments anyways. our best bet is to keep voting up the first one and also vote up any new ones that pop up to keep their attention.
Only thing is, he generally doesn't pick people/characters from the same show/game/whatever.
But seeing him dress up as Rainbow Dash is too awesome a thought to just pass up, so I voted anyway.

As was said before, it seems that characters that are very different (besides personality) from each other have the best chance to be made into a rap battle. So if this little campaign we're doing fails, I'd suggest trying for MLP character vs. someone/something unrelated, next time.

Gave my thumbs up. Also I think the League of Legends thing is a great idea, but instead of a raffle since we have a pretty large LoL population on Ponychan we could have a tournament instead. Victor wins the right to be the referer. Granted I have no idea how we would determin a single winner in a game where its either 3v3 or 5v5, but this is just a though of the top of my head.

I also don't think he'll do it. All his stuff has always included Liveaction stuff. While it would be epic if NP put on a pony costume or just dubbed over a few clips, it's unlikely he'd even do it at all. Still, it's something somepony should make happen.

Here's hopin' it works. As was mentioned, it doesn't necessarily seem to go by popularity, but more by whether they like the idea, so this month (they seem to be about monthly) we should upsell the RD vs. AJ possibility and if that doesn't pay off maybe we should have people suggesting the ponies vs. more contrasting characters.
Either way, I wouldn't have known bout these if not for this, so since ponies have drawn attention to these guys it makes sense for them to try to appease that new market segment, at least just this once, and potentially get a ton of new subs from it.
Here's the order of how i became a brony
PONYCRAFT 2! was looking for Starcraft 2's trailer to check the views and went over that one, i was like how good is this show to fit in the material perfectly?!
Then after that i saw the FlutterGuy video where everyone is asking her what the hell is wrong with her and i sure wasn't expecting a Deep Black Man's voice to pop out of FlutterShy o_O that made me love the show for how they officially parodied themselves
Then i met DJ-PON3 And Eurobeat Brony and couldn't believe how frigging good the remixes where especially for giggle at the ghosty
After that i watched DragonShy i always start with 1 middle episode then go to the beginning, i enjoyed the Equipping Montage like from Charlie's Angels(possibly even something else)
And then went to the Pilot Episodes, wanted to jump directly to Part 2 just like HP, but unlike Harry Potter i actually stood and watched the whole part 1 that's how addictive it was, i could barely skip through it.
Why i love this fandom? Because of how addictive and powerful it is

With all due respect, I used to read the Sonic comics a little over 10 years ago (around the time they hit issue 100), but nowadays that fandom scares the FUCK out of me (and I actually like the Cupcakes fanfic, so...). I hate to be a neighsayer, but I really don't see this happening.
Nevermind that Dash and Applejack are from the same series, I think people are forgetting one other very important fact: All the people being used in these videos are either well known cultural icons or legendary historical figures. In other words, people that the average person on the street would know. And as much as we may not like to admit it, despite the size of the fanbase, MLP:FiM is nowhere near as well known as someone like the people being parodied in these rap battles. Sure, people might know of My Little Pony as a general franchise, but unless you're a fan of the show, the names Rainbow Dash and Applejack will most likely be lost on you. This would have a better chance at happening if it was, like some people have already suggested, something like Twilight Sparkle vs Edward Cullen or Rainbow Dash vs Sonic The Hedgehog, but even then I just don't think that these characters are well known enough.
I'm not saying it's 100% impossible because that's not for me to decide, but I just figure the creators are gonna see all the Rainbow Dash vs Applejack comments and just give them a big "Wtf? ...nope.avi".

Dash and Sonic are also both cocky show-offs who favor rock and roll, and wish to be perceived as cool. They're not all that dissimilar. (I'm going with the SatAM Sonic since I'm familiar with that incarnation.)
I'd love for this to happen, but let's face it: there's really no way this could be well-executed. They do their epic rap battles in live-action, and most of the time, there's only guys in the videos. Unless they can somehow get Flash and mimic the style of the show and impersonate the voices really well, then I don't see this coming out exactly as the bronies want it. Now, if there was an OFFICIAL one, then that would be awesome.

Hmm...unfortunately, you have good points. :/ Even if our idea wins (which seems inevitable) and they decide to try and pull it off, I'm not sure how or how well they'll be able to it. What a disappointing thought.
This is totally going to get ignored but they've already got the Rap song recorded and now they're just doing the video for it.
They writers of the raps choose who they want. If you've paid attention to the first few Epic Rap Battles, the comments they choose are only a few days old (when the next video pops up, it's well over a few weeks) and they may or may not have thumbs up next to them.

Has nobody noticed that it's "Epic Rap Battles OF HISTORY" and that one of the rappers is invariably a historical figure, versus a modern one? It's not just "two random characters". Applejack and Rainbow Dash makes absolutely no sense and is just a retarded attempt to make everything about ponies.
If you really want it, do your own rap battle.

This couldn't happen, they don't use two people from the same series. If we suggested Twilight Sparkle for one, the chances would be WAY better. How about Twilight Sparkle vs. Edward Cullen (The Sparkler from Twilight)?
