I'd love to contribute to this... unfortunatly I'm not that happy with my 'short-comic"writing skills. Im good with the art but I've always found it tough to come up with a short enough story..
Only good short-comic I made on my own involving ponies was only 1 page long!
If anything, i think i'd have to find a teammate brony for this!!

Confused since I saw this yesterday. Would like "Standard A4" format clarified and I'm sure others would too. I've been doing print comic books for...longer than I'd care to admit here. I usually work in 10 X 15, 300 dpi. I'm guessing that it's just a web format size thing. Eh, probably a good thing I'm confused, since I've actually got paying work I need to be doing right now instead of hanging around the pony corral, as it were...

The thing is, said format isn't aimed for printing, but for digital display.

If they're a pony artist, they'd probably be willing to team up without much persuading, especially for something like this that can only mean more publicity.
so if i wanna write something involving an OC pony... is it okay if I use them as a one-time character that plays a role in the "moral" of the story? Like Gilda, Trixie, Braeburn, Strongheart, and all those other characters were? (He) would be a pretty big part of the story, though the focus would be mostly on mane cast, especially twilight and rainbow dash.
Oh man, I've been stumped on my own comics and have wanted to do some kind of fan comic for a while. Didn't know what, but this is definitely something I'd love to get involved in.

Seriosly,how can you write a good story with such little space. A good comic must be at least 26 pages,for Celestia's sake >.< !

I'm just a week away from finishing my creative writing degree. How perfect! Now if only my art was a tad better, especially when organising comic book layout... unless somepony's willing to do that side for me?
No OC ponies? Thats a huge disappointment. Part of the charm of these kinds of supposed anthologies lie in the fact of expanding a world view, in this case. equestria. Nothing expands and broadens a scope more than by exploring side themes. different characters, and different situations.
We'll see how this goes.

I Know thats a decision that wont please everyone, but i'd rather keep it centred on the actual cast of the show for a start, even if only the fanon ones. You still can expand the the universe starting for these characters what can include OCs, like lets say Rarity's parents. However OC centered stories usually dont end very cuz even if some writers can actually manage to make they seen interesting and fit in the universe perfectly, most of the times this dont end so well.

After popular demand, the page limit was expanded to 25 pages, but even then keep in mind this isn't a golden rule, its more of a guide line, and its open to exceptions.
Woot! I would like to be a part of this, but I'm only a writer! My art is, er, barely passable, and only at a kindergarten level. ;)
