Kinda reminds me of the character of Ritz Malheur from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance. She was born the same way, and wanted to stay in Ivalice where she was finally normal the way she was, instead of having to fake it all the time.

Quite liked it. Everyone was well in character, the story was funny, and the conclusion was heartwarming.

Well that was enjoyable. Like others have said, I think this could pass for a real episode, but I don't really like the idea of having canon!Rainbow Dash have white hair. I prefer it to be natural.
I was imagining the scenes as if it were a real episode as I was reading this. The story is just THAT good.

Interesting story, but it just feels too petty. Nothing in the show has lead me to believe that anyone would care about their, or anyone else's hair, that much except for Rarity.
It's a pretty good story. I could have seen this as being in the actual show as well, though I doubt that will happen. I mean, Rainbow Dash dying her hair? I doubt they'll bring it up.

I dunno, it's more gray than pure albino white. I can't see Photo Finish's mane 'catching the light' to the degree that it almost glows.

That was very cute. The writing was a tad stiff, but it was not a large detriment.

That was awesome (even though I usually say it about all good Rainbow Dash fanfics)! How could anyone do not like it? Because it's not some kind of shipping (I think she was already shipped (does such word even exist (I'm truely sorry for these brackets)?)) or sad story, exploiting some kind of "deep" emotions (accent on EMO). Just like somepony said: it's good story that even deserves to become an episode of show.

I liked Rainbow Dash's characterization and re-interpretation of her origins. That single drawing had a lot of potential to become a full blown story.
The revelation towards the end made me shed a few tears, but by the end of it I could only say one thing: "DEEEERPYYYYY!!!"
Reading this was like watching an official episode or even better! I did not even realize that I was actually reading. Amazing!

I was impressed first of all that knowing what Rainbow Dash's secret was beforehand didn't keep me from enjoying this. I was even more impressed at her friends' solution to her problem; first in what they did, and then in what they said. All those secrets were spot-on, including Applejack's! All your characterization and dialogue were fantastic. :)

I really enjoyed this story. It flowed a lot like an actual episode with all the characters fitting their personalities pretty well. I really don't see what's the big deal. At least white hair is better than GREEN hair; what an awful color!

I had an epiphany recently. If the show does do an episode like this, it makes for a good stand in for the issue of coming out of the closet. Just replace dyes hair with likes pussy.

I've been reading Fics for about a month now. This is an old story and I doubt many people will read this. Oh well!
I was really hesitant to read a Pony fic. 'I'm already obsessed with a little girls' show. This would just be ridiculous. These people are just weird for even writing stories about ponies,' I had thought. Then, about 3 stories later, I was hooked. Now I check EqD daily just to see if my favorite stories or authors have put out something new.
So Mr. (or Mrs?) Sword_of_Squirrels, I thank you for writing a wonderful story and getting me into pony fiction. Many wishes of magic and friendship to you.
This is such a well-done story. The characters' personalities feel right and the plot itself sounds like it would work just fine as an episode of the show. Five stars, easily!

I didn't like it no offense. I mean her name is RAINBOW Dash. That alone proves she has a naturally rainbow colered mane. Also she's a tomboy, and she's lazy, she wouldn't bother dying her mane because well she's to lazy to. So it's naturally Rainbow colered.
