That was awesome for a first chapter, the writing is fluid, characterization is interesting and has a great sense of humour, almost comparable to Terry Pratchett's own. Besides, I loved the gags. Keep it up!
I am digging this. I know people like Mort, so this makes it a lot funnier. Also, Spinal Clop was funny, but, well... "clop" is in the name, and I simply can't take it seriously.
Why do I get the feeling that one of the ex-drummers was turned into cupcakes?

My god this was brilliant. I don't read a lot of fics but this one caught my eye and did not disappoint, somepony already mentioned it but this really did remind me of Dead Like Me, cannot wait to read more. Also makes me want to see some fics in this same vein regarding Famine, War, and Plague.
As a fan of the DEATH series of Discworld novels, I must say that I am eagerly awaiting the next chapters of the story. Favorite moment? Probably Celestia connecting 1 and 2 to get -_- about who died. :D

Oh blast, it was only a first chapter! Well, it was certainly cute, and I like the idea that there are other supernatural entities in Equestria that only the princesses can see.
I actually found this surprisingly entertaining, in an intentionally dry sort of way. Reminds me of British humor...which I'm guessing is what you were going for.
Hope that cliffhanger gets elaborated on soon.

La petite mort is a euphemism for an orgasm. I don't know if it's actually French; so many phrases are in French just because it makes them sound fancier. 'Mort' is unlikely to be confused with that though.
Anyway this is a great imitation of TP, and I can't wait for more!

@Aquaman52 Why shouldn't Mort be a nice pony? He doesn't kill ponies, sickness, other ponies, and giant fake skulls kill ponies. He just collects the souls after the fact.

I'm perpetually impressed with just how well realized this fanfic is. It's one of the few fanfics I've allowed myself to read that don't have the "Complete" tag, even though that always leaves me hungry for more when I run off the end of what's been published.

As to the story itself: Excellent. Just what I'd expect if Pratchett were writing about a Death from an extremely idealist universe.
Hmm. That opening reminded me of "Dead Like Me". Anypony else ever watch that show? I think it had like, two seasons and a movie. It wasn't half bad, and had some really nice black comedy. And some of the best ways to die and the victims' reactions were often priceless. I half-expected a Graveling to give the final push to that support rod...

Well, he uploaded a journal entry on DA on April 23 saying he finished some rewrites, so MAYBE. Not getting my hopes up though. Looks like this is doomed to the unfinished fanfic graveyard.
