I stopped doing them for a while, but I'd like to start regularly posting them again.
They will now fall hang the bottom right of the blog under the archive. I figure that's less annoying and doesn't get in the way of the NO FANFICTION button. Sure it might be less obvious, but everypony will scroll down far enough to vote once at some point.
Anyway, I'm busting out a favorite pony poll for the next day and a half (Since this is always fun to see how it evolves over time with different episodes/fan fictions influencing it), then rolling with suggestions.
Also I get asked a lot why I don't use "everypony" every time.
I honestly don't know!

Dude, that's not how you spell "Rainbow Dash".
You could do a "What's your favorite episode?" poll. A bit generic but it is one that would have changed constantly while the series was on, So now is the best time to ask.
This, I imagine, is what a parent feels like when asked which is their favorite child.

Not a suggestion for polls, but a suggestion for a change in text colours on said polls. After you vote, you can't see the number of votes or percentages of votes unless highlighting because the text is the same colour as the background.

Actually. Now that the fanbase has grown quite a bit, and Equestria Daily is having way more visitors and voters. How about we do another poll asking if the visitors are male or female.
It'd be interesting to see if the overpower of us Bronies has started to falter due to the extreme popularity of the show. Maybe the girls are trying to take back what once was theirs.

I think the poni community has needed this for a long time: to poll on the OFFICIAL name of Doctor Whoof/Whooves. It's so confusing!
Pros/Cons of Whoof:
+ It differentiates from Derpy Hooves
+ I's easier to say
- It may be confused with the occasional /dog/ Doctor Whoof... as in "woof."

Heh, I was a tough decision between Luna and Fluttershy for me. Even with her very very brief appearance in Season 1 Luna's became a very likable character to me IMO ( like many others I suspect ). But I had to put the vote in Fluttershy's favor, she's just a smidgeon cuter IMO.
Of course next season the tides might change since Luna's getting more love then. I so cannot wait!
I like them both because I've met a few women with similar personalities. Once you get past that shy side of theirs there almost always a blast to hang out with. The skiddish part of Fluttershy, and most definitely her role in the best night ever was what really makes her Shine. While Luna is just all around cute no matter how you look at it, I expect great things in the future!
Well, that and they're both really really adorable lol.
My favorite is number four. She just seems like such a nice pony.
Rarity doesn't get enough love. It's tough, because Pinkie Pie's so !!!, and Fluttershy's so Fluttershy, but I think Rarity's consistently the most funny character. Especially when it comes to reaction shots.

Yeah, if we're going for favorite pony from a artistic and/or writer perspective I'll agree with Rarity as the best, 100%...but not many folks want somepony unabashedly obsessed with their looks for a real relationship, and it's my suspicion that MOST people (myself included) chose their REAL favorite pony based on who best embodies traits they'd love in their perfect mate.

I like this idea for a poll! Obviously /b/ and /co/ would be the top two answers (I think so anyway), but the discussion comments of the poll would be cool...
For instance, I first watched the ep, Dragonshy after David Willis (the webcartoonist) linked that episode in his comic "Shortpacked!" (after a comic with his OC pony, Sodomuffin). It was then a pretty funny and drawn out series of circumstances that brought me to full blown fandom...I think folks would like sharing their 'introduction to pony' stories with each other!

I suggest a poll on who has gotten into fanfic and shipping because of MLP. That is, not just to find out how much of the readership reads fanfic or likes shipping, but who was lured in by the show (confound these ponies).
