How many people are going to make RPGs? I mean at this rate the MLP fanbase will produce more pony RPG's than the entire works of Square Enix (Total Exaggeration)
Single player My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic RPG made in RPGmaker that will contain everything from comabt to stats and even get to interact with the other ponies EVEN though Season 1 is the only season out there!? Somepony pinch me, for I must be dreaming!
Oh come one, having spent most of my internet life in forums dedicated to games development I know that the more enthusiastic the person or team is, the more likely it is going to fail.
Making games is hard. A few things are easily achieved and tend to have quite an effect, but at the end of the day it's about the art of putting it together and finishing it.

Yes, making games is hard. That's why I'm trying to put together a team of people with either talent, experience or dedication. It would be futile to try and complete the project on my own. RPGMaker is being used for this to avoid having to make everything from scratch.
Hey, at least this won't have bishie ponies with spiky hair, moping and emo-ing about their amnesia.

The reason theres two pony MMO's in the work in two completely different engines/language is because both of the people in charge of the two have different ideas and how they want to go about putting those ideas into an mmo. Both teams already have a good amount of people helping out in both, so more people wouldn't be all that helpful and might actually slow down some things unless they were able to work together really well.
On the topic of THIS rpg: If it's pony related, I'll play it. Sadly I already have my hands full with pony projects of my own and helping out another friend with his pony project, but I'll certainly keep up with what's going on with this one. Good luck Darth, hopefully you'll be able to do everything you want with it.
Hm. I'd personally use RPG Maker VX instead of XP, but that's just me.
XP just reminds me way too much of ye olde RPG Maker 95, I dunno. :/
Meh, RPG maker XP graphics look so bland, i hope that if the game is further in development it wil have an original feel to it, as most RPGKMXP games feel the same, it's the main reason is use 2k3
I wish someone would use RPG maker 2K/3. They got better graphics and ressources and are better to handle. I know a site for a lot of good chips and chars.

I challenge Darth or either of the MMO developers to come up with an RPG system that doesn't focus on violence. Will probably be harder for Darth since he's using RPG Maker, but having the ponies kill or KO anything would just seem... wrong.
Perhaps they should settle things with children's card games. :D
Human sprites make me not interested
Eh... Not sure if want. RPGmaker has few strengths, and its combat system isn't one of them; it's pretty mediocre as-is and if you have the time/patience/expertise to do any heavy modification to it there are better alternatives.
That isn't to say it's a bad tool, but it's more suited for something that's more like a visual novel than a combat-driven RPG.
One thing that turned me off from RPG maker for my own evil plans, was the 4-character party limit. Doesn't seem right to have to leave 2 of the mane cast on the sidelines.
Looking forward to see what comes of this project though.
So, I appear to have competition. The good news is that this means we might all end up teaming up to make one game instead of several different games! Imagine the possibilities!

I'd rather see a Pony "Animal Crossing"/"Sims" game personally. Make your own pony, have jobs based on your cutie mark, build a home, help ponies from the show (model for Rarity, help Fluttershy feed/care for animals, Buck appletrees, help Twilight practice her magic) Have a winter wrap up. "Monsters", like in the show could be big events that need to be solved and violent means are pointless as opposed to something you grind for XP.

Ehh, no offence, but THIS game is based on old JRPGs. The maker is build on old JRPGs.
Well I contacted him, I want to see if i can do a good Battle System, I already been testing different Styles of Combat if he does want me. Either way I would still need to look at both his story and listen to her thoughts before I do anything past making the Basic Attack defend, and items
To anyone complaining about the Humans in the screenshots, THEY WILL NOT APPEAR IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT. Darth put them in as a joke crew, like the people who are setting up the sets and composing music and stuff. He has a Youtube video that explains everything.
