Looks like Ponycraft.net is making leaps and bounds on their Equestria building server. The 7 minute video above will explain it way better than I ever could though.
I really need to get around to buying Minecraft some time..

ReplyDeleteWill there be a downloadable back-up of the map in the future? With a huge world like that, and the way the fanbase has turned out you could get some really fantastic challenge or adventure maps made when it's more complete.
Is there really not a FIM minecraft texture pack yet?

To anyone curious about the map. I do have plans to give out the map to use in single player or for people to use on their own servers once it is done.

The texturepack used in the vid is a WIP based off girl craft that is being ponyfied by myself started by another brony
Ewwwww, I've seem the Server. and Manehattan and Stalliongrad does NOT look good under the Pony (TOO DAMN PASTEL) texture pack.

ReplyDeleteOK. I need everyponys honest opinion. Do the first 2 apartment buildings that are shown at the first view of manehatten look good? Or do you prefer the repetitive flats shown in the rest of the city?
ReplyDeleteCanterlot will be built as soon as we get a visual of it in the show. That's all we're waiting on, we already have a spot picked for it and everything.
ReplyDeleteAdmin said that the map might be available for download when we are finished building. This will obviously be a while as we still have to finish the cities we've already built, (minor details that need addressing.. )
Yeah, Manehatten was built way too fast. Due to this there are multiple mistakes that we are currently working out.

ReplyDeleteMy 2 cents: So... I don't recall exactly from the last episode what Manehattan is supposed to look like, but if its anything like Manhattan, shouldn't the skyline be super imposing? The duplicate buildings kind of make it look like the complex of dorm buildings where I live, instead of the stronghold of super sophisticated ponies from all over Equestria that it should be.
I love the progress tho. Keep up the hard work guys!

ReplyDeleteDamn, I was in this server when all they had was bronyville. Kinda dissapointed that my stuff didn't make it in to the video, although there wasnt much to show. Havn't been in the server in a few weeks, guess I never thought it would be as popular as it got. That's some impressive stuff in thurr.

If you're thinking of joining our server because of this awesome video.. please could you maybe wait a few days, the massive influx of new players has gone beyond what our servers can handle. We've crashed twice already today from too many people.

ReplyDeleteYou will feel right at home on minecraft sethisto. There is a thread on their forums, found at http://minecraftforums.net , That has only been around for about 2 months and a week, but has 87 pages of posts totaling 2594 posts, with over 100 from just today.
ReplyDeleteOnly one problem though. Well, probably tons, but this one I noticed the most. When you're at Fluttershy's Cottage, you can look out the window and SEE the Everfree Forest. And also, the Sweet Acres Farm is right beside PonyVille.
