Well, Did the Hub site pony chooser, and compared my personality to the list. Twilight both times. oh dear god kill me cause my friends probably both end up like either Pinkie or Trixie. or both at the same time.
I had started a thread on something like this at the Arena a couple months ago, and I find it amazing which ones I called out that match with this. I had pegged Twilight, Big Mac, Rainbow Dash, and Trixie.
Some of the others I came up with different personality types, based on the master title of that type. Fluttershy I had as an ISFJ, The Nurturer. Rarity I had as an ISFP, The Artist. Pinkie Pie I had as an ESFP, The Performer. Applejack I had as an ENFJ, The Giver. Spike I had as an INFJ, The Protector. And Celestia I had as an INFP, The Idealist.
These look good, though. However, I don't think Applejack is much of a thinker. She seems like the inverse of Rainbow Dash. Concrete details are the core of what goes on in Rainbow's decision making skills when she does her tricks and guides her weather team. Applejack, however, seems to bark orders based on what she "feels" is right. And while Rarity seemed like an extrovert to me at first, with her need to be the center of attention, I think "The Artist" describes her best, and I feel she has a bit of introvertedness inside her because introverts gain creative energy through quiet alone time while extroverts like Pinkie Pie and Applejack gain creative energy through mixing it up. I think with Rarity, the desire to show off is based on some kind of need she has to fulfill for herself rather than any genuine outward expenditure.
WOOHOO INTP Here. Aka Twilight Sparkle Aka "The Architect" Luna is still my favorite pony. But I am happy my personality matches my second favorite pony.
Well, discredited BS test or not, it's still better psychology than Sheldon's somatotypes. No surprise for me. I was kind of hoping I'd get Dash, but somehow I knew I'd get Twilight...
Introverts tend to reflect then act and gain energy through alone time. Extroverts tend to act, then reflect and gain energy through socializing.
Sensing versus intuition deals with how information is handled. Concrete details are the realm of the sensing person. Broad meanings are the realm of the intuitive person.
Feeling versus thinking deals with how information is decided upon. Thinkers measure with their heads. Feelers weigh with their hearts.
Judging versus perceiving deals with how to react to outside influences. Judgers tend to have closed off, one-sided reactions and are often ordered people. Perceivers tend to have an open approach and tend to be free spirits.
I got what I always get on these things, INFJ (Zecroa).
I read the descriptions and some of the articles the second one linked and I must say, these thing might be a little bs but they certainly have MY number. It was actually quite uncanny, like someone had did a study on me or something. And hey, I'm a INFJ. If there is one thing I understand, it's myself.
INTP - Twilight Sparkle Honestly one of the biggest reasons I enjoy the show is that I identify with her so much. It's like watching my childhood, except with ponies and completely idealized.
Alright, so I made a little program on my calculator and counted them all (why use paper and tally marks?!). For the wafflers, I picked the first one because it seemed like it was better. For the wafflers between P/J, I went with P from personal experience.
ISTJ-17 ISFJ-5 INFJ-8 INTJ-38 Big Mac Swt Bel Zecora Celestia 8.72% 2.56% 4.10% 19.5%
I did this test earlier and got Twilight. It is fitting to me under most circumstances. I also took the one on the hub's website, and got Rainbow Dash, though that was more towards girls, not like this one. I could go wither way, as I am competitive in certain circumstances, but I am more the anti-social nerd who will read up on things that they like, and try to master them, try to find out everything there is to know. I had a couple of my friends take the test, and they actually fitted perfectly with their personality type.
@Forb.Jok It appears that the artist removed it from her DA page. Here's another link to the original picture: http://s3.amazonaws.com/kym-assets/photos/images/original/000/129/180/Myerspony.jpg?1306994816
I find it interesting some commenters think that Pinkie is on the "S" end of the spectrum, though everyone agrees on E, F, and P. She seems to react to outside influences but that's just a matter of her extreme extraversion. If you look at her behavior in several parts of the series, from her "Pinkie Sense" to her feelings of rejection in "Party of One," as well as her reaction to Rainbow Dash not writing when she went off to the Wonderbolt Academy, there's obviously a lot of internalization going on there(N), rather than just accepting the facts as they are(S). Though she may seem like an airhead she seems to analyze her environment in most of her daily interactions.

ReplyDelete@Anonymous
ReplyDeleteYou said that already. Most people seem to get what they expect or at least fairly close.
I was unable to properly answer a lot of these and picked an answer closest to what I think and still came rather close to what I expected.
