Otakon is one of the biggest conventions, it'd be silly not to have a meet-up here. I would be willing to help out with absolute anything if needed, I live close to where its held.

This is one of those instances where I'd love to have a reason to hang out with new people but feel like this might be a bit, yea previous anon said it best, awkward.

I do agree with a few others that there's a good chance of this turning awkward. But you never know if you don't try, so in the meantime it's an awesome idea!

I have no doubt there will be awkward moments, at least at the start, but I've been to enough of these sort of gatherings to know that by the end of it all, everyone has made at least a couple new friends and things become a LOT more comfortable.
What Bejoty said. I've been to furry cons (two of 'em), and while there are definitely some awkward moments-- and awkward people-- in the end, good times are had.
And yeah, we're making sure only adults sign up for the groups. Any kiddies will be cheerily turned away. :)

I wish I was anywhere near vancouver. there are only three bronies within a 75km vicinity of Kamloops that I know of. We all live within Kamloops itself, though. Any bronies in Kamloops that we don't know about?
