The circumstantial evidence is promising, but it isn't enough to convince me. I'm just playing Twilight Sparkle here, desiring more solid proof.

So that means that if this is legit and there starting voice work now its going to be awhile before its on tv. zso this is definitely season 2 or if your a HUGE optimistic maybe a season 3!

Awesome. The fact that they're keeping a side character like big mac around for next season gives me hope that hasbro won't be replacing the main characters with new ones either.

That's.. a good question, because there's a video of Ashleigh Ball uploaded from February 2010 doing Applejack into a microphone, but the episodes didn't air until October.
Odd, I could have sworn the wiki page listed season 1 with a parenthetical that season 2 was confirmed - that no longer seems to be listed.

Dunno if either of these are old, but they're really helping me believe the second season is underway, official confirmation or not.
aw man, i didn't realize that there already was a season 2 post when i submitted this. on one hand, bravo for keeping this up to date as possible. on the other hand... no one is going to see my video on the second page ;_; do what you must, i will live!
I've heard a few of the people involved on the animation process mention on their DA pages that they already have ideas about seasons 3 and 4. What these ideas are, they won't say, though.

I seen a couple of episodes and with full honesty, I can say that my favorite Darwinian rejects are Pinkie Pie,Derpy Hooves,Big Macintosh and Applejack also Spike.

Magicy isn't even a word and Twilight Sparkle is more 'magicy' as you put it so blindly than Zecora
Applejack could kick more ass with her applebucking and southern drawl than all of them
Rarity is more sophisticated and lady like than those ruffians could ever be
Spike is the manliest man or dragon I ever seen because he hangs around all these singalongs and female ponies with their super girliness which seems to not even phase him.
They are all good characters
On those dinosaur, robots, and one character being better than the other quotes was me. I'm a Brony really and was trying to prove your Brony faith and you all passed.
