• Winter Wrap Up Without Background Music

I thought I posted this before, but I cant find it anywhere... So have some Winter Wrap Up without the background music (or just really quiet background music), much like that Pinkie Pie one from a while back that everyone enjoyed.

    2. Man, my mind kept filling in the blanks. I could vaguely hear the original music in the back and it's enough for my imagination to recreate it in my head, so it doesn't even sound all that different.

    3. As a vocal enthusiast (read: chump who wants to make a living with his voice), I find this fascinating.

    4. It was interesting. I wonder what other songs would sound like without background music.

    6. Stripping out the music means that people can make more awesome mashups, like that one yesterday. So this is great!

    7. Oh man I hope there's a HQ version of the audio from this floating around somewhere for download.

I believe that is Rarity. They are both on the same team anyway.

    14. This sounds like the AC3 center channel, isolated. Interesting!

If done this before with movies, the other way around (remove center channel to get instrumentals). It works great

    16. Yes! Thank you so much for the link to a flac download. Happyness and friendship for all.

    17. Is it just me, or does it sound like Tara (Twilight) is having trouble hitting the low notes in "tomorrow spring is here?"

      ReplyDelete
    18. Oops, I mean "let's finish our holiday cheer."

      ReplyDelete
    19. That might be because Twilight's singing voice isn't Tara? It's Rebecca Shoichet. And I don't think it's so much that she's having trouble hitting the note, so much as it sounds a little weird because they've pitched her voice up a little.

Lastly the flac posted was a karaoke version - music w/o vocals. Anyone have the vocals, no music?

    20. Hi there ED, Original Uploader here. Glad you guys like it. For those asking for a proper MP3. Here it is. Highest Quality VBR, it's a link to my Mediafire Folder with all the MLP Audio I've done so far.

    21. Sounds like most of the song, including chorus, is sung by Ashliegh Ball (Apple Jack/Rainbow Dash's voice actor). Which isn't supprising consider she has her own band.

      One of her music videos.

    25. Interesting to listen to. It was easier to hear the different singers this way, and realize exactly how much "support" they had from the chorus during the refrain. Without the chorus (And some of the nice harmonizing they did) it sounded like a completely different song.

    26. This stripped version of Winter Wrap Up could be useful for bronies taking part in the Winter Wrap Up collab. sing thing. As it is I've made two more corrections to the lyrics I have stored in a Wordpad file. "Wake up their sleepyheads" and "But the food we've stored is runnin' out".

@ Arlen, could you post a link directly to the MP3 you uploaded to MediaFire? It could be that you need a MediaFire account to open folders as I was unable to download anything last time I tried.

      Awesome!

    28. How did you get the song without the music?
      Are you a wizard?

I don't know why, I didn't think you needed an account to view folders. Regardless, here you go

The iTunes rips available via Ponychan have 5.1 sound mixes (sound coming from six sources). I use a program called eac3to to separate each sound channel into individual WAVs and I use Sound Forge to edit them into MP3s.

For the video above I use Sony Vegas and I just take the episode, disable the sound, and then put the WAV I want over it (in this case the Center Channel), and then just cut out and render the scene I want.
