pinkie was especially pinkie, Rarity was the good kind of rarity (the passionate artist, not the vain fashion girl) Fluttershy was very well rounded, the incidental ponies were AWESOME (and I'm gonna speak my mind here, more than a couple of the stallions that seem to be in the fashion industry seem to look a little fabulous...) and derpy was, well... derpy.
I watched the episode with my father, and we talked through the whole thing discussing different things about the details of the different ponies. Hopefully the links'll show up soon.

well, i live in timezone gmt+1 (germany). normally it's 7:30 pm here whent he ep aires. today it was 6:30pm. that was 12:30 dallas time. and in an irc somebody, probably from dallas, told me that it aired there 1:30pm the last time. so yeah, appearently the whole program got set back by a whole hour. and no, don't tell me shit about daylight savings, that's a whole week away

Pinke Pie is absolutely terrifying, Fluttershy's cuteness goes into overdrive, Rarity's voice acting is top-notch, Spike has a crush on Rarity, and Derpy gets a great appearance.
Well it's good to see Rarity actually being a good pony instead of self centered and whiny. But I think Twi went to far when she started making Fluttershy pick her nose. Twilight has been demoted to number four pony to number five pony. Also I love Derpy~<3
Likely my new favorite episode. Only problem is no DJ-Pon3. I heard the music and thought, "This episode is flawless if it shows Scratch again." Alas, my favorite background pony was nowhere to be found. Other than a lack of Scratch it was incredible. It's easily in my top three and probably my favorite.

Applejack and Rainbow are background characters, Bon-bon has a nice voice.
Fan fiction writers and artist have a new character to 'toy' with, she had some good character music.
Twilight was once again the episodes natural goofball, if she said something earlier the episode would have ended faster. Nopony wants that. (If you are one of those who wanted the episode to end sooner I'll show you to the Gummy Gator pit, It's not pleasant and it was recently lined with baked bads to rile them up courtesy of Pinkie Pie)

When Pinkie Pie came out of the mirror, I litterally lost control of my body it was that awesome. I got kicked from the chatroom for spamming gibberish, and then got a stern talking from the librarians for flipping out. Also, every person who was there now thinks I'm absolutely insane.
Finished watching it after download stream rip. This episode is Magnificent! Everypony now are in a God tier now. So many new backgrounds cool ponies! And Bath pony strikes again with a double strength!!!
Looks like Dr. Whoof is a pegasus now. I guess he regenerated shortly before Sonic Rainboom.
And Pinkie.. is in one step to make cupcake D= She was excellent but gives me some creeps. Still she is f*cking supreme being in Equestria.
Thanks to everypony for the spoiler alerts, I haven't watched it yet, but I'm looking for a HQ stream on youtube before I leave on an internet-less trip for the next 5 hours... Guess I'll watch it by night.

The reason you non-US bronies are so confused is that we had daylight savings early this year. I personally think we should just get rid of it, but... whatever.
Progressive is better than interlaced when it comes to high definition picture. Basic difference is that interlaced "comb" the lines of video together; sometimes you can get a "jaggy" look on the screen because the 1080 lines are sent in alternating fields of 540 lines each. Progressive shows all 1080 lines at once in each frame, so there's a much smoother, "cleaner" image and less artifacting. Television (so far) is able to go to 1080i, but not 1080p (you get that kind of quality from Blu-rays).
That was like the best episode ever, I was constantly laughing, Rarity's orgasm, Pinkie Pie's 'cupcake' moments and the German pony were terrific and the whole thing was just hasdjasksajfghjghdbvbhjav...
Rarity and Fluttershy were my favorite ponies before this. Now, like peanut butter and chocolate, they created the greatest fucking episode ever. First, Pinkie. You can't deny, she is in her element in this episode. She must have taken an extra dosage of Pinkie-Drug today. The way she appears out of nowhere, be it in her magical disappearing/reappearing tub of sponges or in the magic mirror at the end, I literally couldn't stop laughing when she was on screen. My favorite moment being when she takes a bite of the apple. THAT...was terrifying. Fluttershy was amazingly cute, with her scream and her kick. I was actually hoping the vase she kicked would actually fall over and break, and she'd start freaking out. Rarity was Rarity, as usual. The GOOD Rarity, I mean. She wasn't being THAT much of a prissy priss-priss. In all honesty, this is my favorite episode of her. I also love it when Twi is a goofbag, like when she poked herself in the eye and stuff.

Blog brony, I'm with you... I am on spring break at home, I turned on the TV (curious to see if my parents get the Hub), and found that they do have the Hud in HD. This was about 1 PM my time; MLP aired at 12:30.
Wow, i was honestly expecting this episode to make me hate both rarity and fluttershy, instead i think i love them both even more and pinkie pie makes a glorious return! Every episode i say, "oh well, they cant do any better than this. now its going to go to shit" and im always pleasantly surprised

This is by far the best episode yet! So much off the wall comedy. So much depth to the characters. Such excellent writing. So much Derpy, and solid screen shots of Doctor Whooves. It'll probably be the only thing I watch this entire weekend. Such a contrast from last week's terrible episode.
Not quite as epic as I was hoping but enjoyable nonetheless. Good episode Idea but the writer's didn't play with the character's enough. Also the conclusion was kinda anticlimactic. overall I give this episode a B
I'm so happy other people linked Photo Finish with Lady Gaga. I just about died every time they played her theme, I can't wait for a Eurobeat of it.
And Pinkie in that mirror! I laughed so hard the dog was startled.

Fluttershy is adorable and still my favorite. It made me weirdly happy that her and Rarity have spa dates. :3 Spike was actually cute (I only just started liking him since last week) and Pinkie Pie had me cracking up so much. The episode was pretty funny thanks to her and Fluttershy's screams and kicks. xD
You know, I'm surprised more bronies have commented on that - it shows a very important world dynamic. It's possible for two ponies to have the same cutie mark (ok, well, not EXACTLY the same since the colors are ever-so-slightly off from one-another, but the principle is still implied imho). I'm thinking this might go towards explaining how there could be multiple background ponies with identical cutie marks (winged and un-winged Dr. Whooves [both making appearances in this episode], the yellow flaming haired photographer pony and white-body blue-haired pegasus photographer from a couple seconds later in this ep - both had a fortune cookie-esque cutie mark)
I have never been inclined to comment here. I've only ever idly read some of the articles, but this bears noting: that was, without a doubt, the best episode so far. The expressions, the language, the story... I was engaged and amused the entire time. Seriously, this episode totally captured THE MAGICS!

I now understand the reason behind the two crusader episodes being so close together, it was to keep our minds from being blown by back to back awesome (Sonic Rainboom, A Dog and Pony Show, and Green Isn't Your Color just would have been to much)
I feel bad for Spike. That desperate crush of his is portrayed quite accurately, sad as that is. WAKE UP MAN! If a pretty girl treats you like she does she only keeps you around because it's convenient for her; She won't be your girlfriend because SHE DOESN'T RESPECT YOU. I've had several friends go through this, and its never pretty. Some of the girls don't even realise they're stringing the guy along.
The way it was handled reminded me of a Spongebob "grossly detailed close-up." Except that it wasn't that gross or detailed. xD
Anyway, I LOVED. SO. MUCH. About this episode. Pretty much the entire thing (except for Pinkie Pie getting off scot-free after tormenting Twilight that whole time, but at least it was AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS.)
Despite the fact that my two favorite ponies were almost entirely absent, this ep contained such colossal amounts of win that I ultimately didn't mind. To recount everything that I thought was awesome would essentially be to rewrite the script.

Wow, i was honestly expecting this episode to make me hate both rarity and fluttershy, instead i think i love them both even more and pinkie pie makes a glorious return! Every episode i say, "oh well, they cant do any better than this. now its going to go to shit" and im always pleasantly surprised

So awesome, great episode and great fluttershy moments.
This is by far the best episode yet! So much off the wall comedy. So much depth to the characters. Such excellent writing. So much Derpy, and solid screen shots of Doctor Whooves. It'll probably be the only thing I watch this entire weekend. Such a contrast from last week's terrible episode.
Love Fluttershy as a fashion star, finally her prettiness has been noticed by the public.

Not quite as epic as I was hoping but enjoyable nonetheless. Good episode Idea but the writer's didn't play with the character's enough. Also the conclusion was kinda anticlimactic. overall I give this episode a B

I'm so happy other people linked Photo Finish with Lady Gaga. I just about died every time they played her theme, I can't wait for a Eurobeat of it.
And Pinkie in that mirror! I laughed so hard the dog was startled.
I was kinda expecting a song when Rarity put her cloak on *so dramatic*.
And Spike was kinda cute at the end "I can't believe you told!" You were totally making kissing faces last week, Spike. Everypony knows you like Rarity.
Fluttershy was adorable *I squealed at her scream and kick* and Twilight was funny trying to keep the secrets. All in all, two hooves up.
And I have a new Pinkie Swear. XD.

Fluttershy is adorable and still my favorite. It made me weirdly happy that her and Rarity have spa dates. :3 Spike was actually cute (I only just started liking him since last week) and Pinkie Pie had me cracking up so much. The episode was pretty funny thanks to her and Fluttershy's screams and kicks. xD

You know, I'm surprised more bronies have commented on that - it shows a very important world dynamic. It's possible for two ponies to have the same cutie mark (ok, well, not EXACTLY the same since the colors are ever-so-slightly off from one-another, but the principle is still implied imho). I'm thinking this might go towards explaining how there could be multiple background ponies with identical cutie marks (winged and un-winged Dr. Whooves [both making appearances in this episode], the yellow flaming haired photographer pony and white-body blue-haired pegasus photographer from a couple seconds later in this ep - both had a fortune cookie-esque cutie mark)

I have never been inclined to comment here. I've only ever idly read some of the articles, but this bears noting: that was, without a doubt, the best episode so far. The expressions, the language, the story... I was engaged and amused the entire time. Seriously, this episode totally captured THE MAGICS!

no, it must be a 4 hour difference instead of the 1 hour that way it actually matters. Btw I mirror everyone's general consensus, greatest episode yet! I now understand the reason behind the two crusader episodes being so close together, it was to keep our minds from being blown by back to back awesome (Sonic Rainboom, A Dog and Pony Show, and Green Isn't Your Color just would have been to much)

I feel bad for Spike. That desperate crush of his is portrayed quite accurately, sad as that is.
WAKE UP MAN! If a pretty girl treats you like she does she only keeps you around because it's convenient for her; She won't be your girlfriend because SHE DOESN'T RESPECT YOU. I've had several friends go through this, and its never pretty. Some of the girls don't even realise they're stringing the guy along.

The way it was handled reminded me of a Spongebob "grossly detailed close-up." Except that it wasn't that gross or detailed. xD
Anyway, I LOVED. SO. MUCH. About this episode. Pretty much the entire thing (except for Pinkie Pie getting off scot-free after tormenting Twilight that whole time, but at least it was AMAZINGLY HILARIOUS.)
Despite the fact that my two favorite ponies were almost entirely absent, this ep contained such colossal amounts of win that I ultimately didn't mind. To recount everything that I thought was awesome would essentially be to rewrite the script.
